I would leave a big FAT ZERO if I can, today I met the most rude and unprofessional cashier. He’s shouldn’t be on there if he can’t be nice to everyone. All he said is “phone number”, what happened to Hi how are you? And what about thank you after? I didn’t know if I’m finish check out or not because he’s asking for quarter from another cashier so I just left confuse like does he still owe me a quarter or what? He didn’t pay attention to me nor asking if I need a bag. What a rude rude rude cashier, if you see any guy with piercing on his face and tattoo (if I remember correctly) be very careful because he can be super rude and unprofessional.

The store and staff are lovely but the grooming department is absolutely the WORST. NEVER TAKE YOUR PET HERE TO BE GROOMED. My cat has never had an accident and is so well behaved for the vet. We dropped him off here to be groomed and he didn’t even seem anxious. I went to pick him up and the staff member told me he had an accident (odd knowing my cat but okay I suppose if he wasn’t used to all the noise/commotion), so she told me she had to rewash him. I apologized. He was already in his carrier sitting there waiting to go, I didn’t even get to see the finished result of the grooming. I paid $100 and went home. When I got home and let him out, he was SOAKED and covered in pee. It appeared there was no attempt to even clean him off, and it made me wonder how long he had been sitting in his carrier like that. We had to bathe him twice when we got home- and at that point we found matting under his belly. Even his head / upper body didn’t smell fresh and clean like he had been washed. I am wondering if they did anything to him at all. It also made me wonder what scared him so badly to have an accident as again, this is very atypical behavior for him. Will absolutely never go back.

Would leave a zero if I could. Crystal just simply didn't want to groom our dog simple as that made excuses from the beginning, we like to see them at 3 months to get used to it, idk what I will be able to do. Literally called us not even 2 minutes after we walked out the door he won't get in the kennel. Just simply say I don't feel like working today. We have another dog that's way more aggressive and not as easy as this dog and you all groom him just fine. We will take all 3 of our dogs else where to groom.

This place is HUGE! So much available! Lots of dogs with owners made it fun too! I had a gift card on my phone, no problem. Had my dog wearing a harness I was buying and the cashier kneeled down to scan the code so I didn't have to take it off him.

DO NOT EVER SEND YOUR DOG HERE TO PETSMART/BANFIELD IN NEWPORT ESPECIALLY IF HE’S A PIT BULL OR OF THIS BREED!!! DR. KELLY DECOURCY DOES NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR DOG AND WILL HAVE YOUR DOG BEING SENT TO A SHELTER!!!! Just had a visit with Banfield today and off the bat was met with RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL receptionist. We checked our dog in and was told by one of the receptionist that our dog “Doesn’t look like a laborer.” When he is MIXED per DNA Test. We get back into the room with one of the vet assistant and were meet with straight attitude and very opinionated responses such as “You know your dog is not a lab so we’re going to change that.” “I have two pit bulls so I know what they look like.” Just anything under the sun. Fast forward 20 mins into visit we meet with Kelly DeCourcy and are accused of falsifying medical records when our dog is a mixture of a lab retriever. We showed Dr. Kelly DeCourcy our dog’s lab results and SHE INDEED see that he was mixed with lab and proceeded to accuse us of falsifying his records because her “receptionist” told her that we had some concerns with our dogs breed. The only problem we had with this was a young girl going into OUR DOGS chart changing things that she’s not authorized to do. We came in for a comprehensive exam not to have our dogs records played with and be accused of something that is not true. Moral of the story if you own a pit breed please watch Dr. Kelly have documentation ready and keep a paper trail she is not with you but AGAINST YOU!!!!

We took our dogs in for haircuts. Crystal shredded my dogs snout, I wasn't going to complain but it's been 5 days and his face is still bleeding. Our old groomer never had a problem with him. You deserve zero stars.

Today was fantastic!!!Our yorkie needed his private areas cleaned up—-so badly. I knocked a star off because when we took him at the end of January his privates and tail weren’t really touched.Today, Chelsea and Joey worked on him and i couldn’t be happier!! He was a hot mess before and now he is back to being his adorable self.Super thrilled and will always request those that worked on hi. Tosay!!! I love that Chelsea stopped me to talk about him! As did Joey— excellent service today guys!!We just had another great experience with Tiffany… thank you

I would like to just give a special shout-out to Kim the groomer! When I came in she was trying to take pictures and now I see why! What a surprise to see the added purple bows! thank you 4 making my PRINCESS into the Britney Spears of all Cairn Terriers! WE WILL be back!

Not cool, the price of two fish were marked down, the last 2 fish left in this tank, and when my brother went to purchase and the cashier called back to the fish department, the fish clerk was either mistaken or lied and said the fish were not on sale and cost $20 versus $6. Not cool. No further fish to be purchased here.

Waited in the only line they had open for forever while the only cashier just sat there chatting with a lady about her foster pet that's going to be in the Enquirer... Next time I visited, there was a line 12 people deep with ONE checkout line open (while two workers stocked cat and dog toys...) If you like wasting your time, come to this location.

I usually commit to using local small businesses but I couldnt't get him in within the next week or so. I was able to make an appointment for the same day and I took RJ for his first grooming done by someone other than me! They contacted me before time and made sure all the preliminaries were out of the way to keep everyone Safe I was a little worried but Joey D. did a fantastic job!! Beyond HAPPY!! AND I WAS DOUBLE SURPRISED THE PRICES WERE VERY REASONABLE! when you book an appointment online you can sign up and use their app -tons of perks! Even though the experience was great I will be booking him at a local small business next time! thank you so much Petco💜

Anne-Marie and Chelsea P are great dog groomers and they handle my little problem child so well. I have one easy dog and the other is very submissive so he can be difficult. I hope I never need to find Vienna and Dallas another groomer because they are both so amazing!

The grooming team at the Newport PetSmart is incredible. We have been coming here for my dog’s grooming needs for a couple years now. Every single person is always kind, accommodating, and fun.We especially love our go-to groomer Chelsea. She treats my dog as she would treat her own dog and that is ultimately what I have always wanted in a grooming salon. I want to feel like my dog is safe and loved and I truly feel that with Chelsea. She is meticulous and good at her job and my dog comes home happy and clean!

The first negative review I’ve ever left.I took my dog here for a nail trim, it was a Saturday so there was a wait which was no problem (you can’t book only a nail trim appointment on the app).I noticed it took longer than usual, when I came to get him, he was bleeding all over the place. The tech told me she trimmed a nail too short, which I initially didn’t have a problem with. She told me I should have the vet trim his nails… so weird I thought that’s what a grooming salon was for? She told me I shouldn’t have brought him in on a Saturday and that they’re too busy and that’s why this happened. Upon further inspection THREE of his nails were bleeding. I understand one but three is unacceptable. The short haired blonde who works here was beyond unprofessional and careless. Despite it being a Saturday you shouldn’t make a mistake three times on a simple nail trim. I’ve told every dog parent I know about my experience and I’ve contacted corporate.

They completely butchered my dogs. Cut him down to the skin. Lied to my face. DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG HERE. They will mistreat your fur baby. They cut his nails to short and is bleeding from them. They are terrible. All these reviews are from paid or actual employees. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. Absolutely disgusting what they did to my dog. DISGUSTING.

The 2 stars is for how helpful the employees have been when I have been in there but I'm upet that when trying to order delivery for my dogs special diet it will only let you buy a whole package of one kind. My dog doesn't like to eat the same kind every day. No ability to mix it up!

My little puppy absolutely requires grooming, and I am terrible at it. After a bad experience at a kennel, she's shy/afraid of people. This is the place we can take her where she actually leaves relaxed most times. Plus snacks!

Took my dog in at 9am for his grooming. Let them know he has anxiety. At 9:50 I get a call saying they hadn’t started yet and he had been in the kennel and peed so they couldn’t groom him due to his anxiety. The reason he peed is because he has anxiety and you put him in the kennel for 50 minutes! Had you started cutting his hair at 9am like scheduled this wouldn’t have happened. Talked to the manager and she didn’t seem to care either. Terrible service. He couldn’t have peed that much because my dog was completely dry when I picked him up and also if he had gotten wet he was there for a grooming and bath anyway!

So The Newport, KY Petsmart really, really sucks!!! …I can only judge based off of my many experiences buying fish and fish material there. First off I have 20+ years experience in fish and fish set ups and anything that has to do with fish and keeping fish in an aquarium. First off They don’t follow their 15 day return policy on their fish and I’ve had some workers that were nice and decent but they’re far and in between and don’t have many good encounters with them. The one encounter on most occasions is a heavy set lady who always is loud, Obnoxious, rude and doesn’t sell what you want and always asks what gallon tank you have and when you tell her she refuses to sell you fish. She’s horrible with customer service and I wouldn’t recommend anyone buy fish there. I can suggest Discover Aquatics located in Taylor Mill, KY the dude there is nice very helpful and not rude nor does he ask what gallon tank you have or care to preach to you. Secondly the fish you purchase don’t make it they either die or they are too aggressive after they’re labeled peaceful. I will never buy fish there again and I would like I said recommend no one to buy fish there and hopefully the lady will get dealt with. She shouldn’t be working in a customer service environment at all. Finally good luck to the ones who choose to buy fish there I would have rated this location a 0 star but unfortunately they made me rate it at least a 1 star!!!

Worst place I have ever had my dog groomed at. Crystal (or anyone else) gave absolutely 0 comfort to my puppy who was nervous and missed matting on the tips of his ears. Very disappointed in the customer service from the grooming department as well - group of very unprofessional people here.

I am editing my review down for the grooming area. I had gone to Tommy and he was great. My dog is old and big and she has a lot of hair so she needs a bit more care when grooming but she is gentle and sweet. He said she was fine and I paid extra for Express to avoid kenneling and stress. I went back and the person who washes them didn't show up and they canceled so they offered me a FREE wash next time. They went ahead and clipped her nails and it bled for hours. Then when I went back they said the new girl was too feeble and they had to lift her etc. They recommended I not bring her back. Then the next week they canceled my appointment with Tommy and when I asked why they said because she was too much work and that I never paid for the last wash. I would have paid but they said it was free!! I never asked for free. Also I did tip extremely well since it was free.
