Had a wonderful time ..came in for a little 1 item shopping. Left with a bag full of goodies.The TW gloves I have been looking at EVERYWHERE ! all the big box stores & other ACE stores .. nada. But this place had the gloves that I wanted that I needed.The attendance in the service was above par.I have an Ace hardware 1 mi from here. I may cross the river now go the extra 5 miles

Here is the reason to go here instead of the one of the big box stores...it's the people! So, today I couldn't find something I needed. An employee, by the name of Haden, who, obviously, had already finished his shift and was trying to get out the door, saw me and recognized my lost look and asked...can I help you find something? I said...looks like you are headed out the door. He said yes...but I don't mind helping you. He took me right where the product was! You won't find that kind of service ANYWHERE else! Keep up the GREAT work!

Great Lakes Ace is awesome! Although I will say I believe they are a little overpriced on most things! But, they do have some neat selections on things such as the cell phone holder that I bought from my car. But I guess in the plaza they are in Newport they charge and somebody has to pay the bill. Unfortunately this is passed on to the customer.My only other complaint is with the staff who seemed very aloof not willing to help. One day I walked around for 15 minutes and finally a guy said oh can I help you. Customer service is not a priority at the store , standing around and talking on their is.

I personally enjoy coming to Ace Hardware as compared to a bigger box store. The one I have locally to me is nice; the staff is friendly, and the store is clean. The store is always reasonably stocked. I’m not sure if this is all Ace Hardware or maybe just in my area; I do think the selection is very specific and limited. It’s slightly overpriced.

We got to the check-out and decided we didnt want 3 items. I took them back to where we found them and still the cashier was so rude about it. I dont even understand. I put the items back myself. We will never go back to this location. It was so uncomfortable and we were with our children. I understand people have bad days but this was not acceptable esp in front of kids.

Absolute worst customer service. We've been trying to get a car key made for a month and a half. We keep getting excuses and rude employees. Avoid this place if you can, especially for a car key. I've always known that Ace had limited selection, high prices, and unknowledgeable employees, but this experience has really set a new low for them.

Convenient hardware store that's a refreshing option if you don't want to go to a big box store ànd walk a half a mile just to get one small item. Price is a bit high, however they always have what I need to complete my project. Staff is (usually) friendly and very helpful.

I have been going to Ace Hardware for 40 years at different places around the country as we have moved. This is by far the best Ace Hardware I have ever seen. Large and organized very well. Having recently moved home after 30 years away I will be at this place often.

Absolutely horrible experience. Purchased part online and went to store and I was told they don't have part. No refund generated and told I would have to wait a week to be refunded. They took my money under false pretenses and are now holding my money without permission. Last month they charged me twice for the same purchase and I had to wait almost a month to be refunded after being told by store manager and Ace Hardware customer service that I wasn't charged twice. I spend hours trying to get my money back with every purchase.Take my advice and go elsewhere for your hardware needs.

Really enjoyed the store. Found everything I needed. Was surprised at the various merchandise that was there from flowers, clothing and of course tools and grills. Pleasant person at check out.

There is a guy here that I see all the time and he seriously goes above and beyond, I absolutely love the service I get from him, but then you get to the front counter and the cashiers (its usually the same woman but ive seen others do the same) act like it's a huge inconvenience to their day that you're making a purchase. Sometimes they don't even speak a single word at check out. The new location is super nice.

Decent shop and middle range customer service. Usually there isn't enough staff to actively assist folks, but the person at the register can generally answer questions. They have a wide variety of things, so you can usually find whatever you're looking for, but the prices are higher than elsewhere, and they usually don't have a deep inventory of most items, so if you need a lot of something for a project, you better pre-order online to make sure it's in stock. I like going here to double check what size I need or random small items that may be required at the last minute, but if I have the time to plan out, definitely order from somewhere cheaper.

Went there to find specific nuts and bolts for son. The employee tried very hard to find them but the drawer system was confusing, took too long so 4* for helper but 3* bcuz of n & b confusing system although I may return. Maybe. There are good options available including this one.

Just shopped here for the first and last time. Came for a specific item, found item and the shelf tag reflected the price online. Get to the register and the item rings up for 20% more. I told the cashier, she looks at me and then answers the phone. Told her a second time and she just shrugged and said ok? Refuses to fix price and unfortunately i had to pay due to lack of product availability elsewhere. Usually i prefer smaller local business but i will not patronize this store again. Shame on you for terrible customer service and failing to honor your own prices.

Feels like I'm here every other day as I have a lot of projects going on at the minute. Really enjoy coming here over Home Depot/Lowes and the best semi-local hardware store in the area by a mile. As soon as I walk in, I'm asked if I need help finding anything and everyone has always been super cool.

I sent my wife to get a particular item, and the guy with 30 years of experience sold her something I already had. I went there, and he wouldn't even look for me. The electrical guy kept insisting what my tiny little wife bought was adequate. Well, it's not. The site says it's in stock. I went ahead and ordered the item on Amazon. This is why it's hard to support local businesses. 30 years of knowledge cannot put you in our shoes. He has no clue why it's needed. Sell me what I need, for God's sake

Went to buy a cordless drill. Not a single employee on the floor. I walked around for 10 minutes. Finally went to the clerk to ask her to page someone. She was friendly and paged someone to help me. No one came to help. I finally left and bought it elsewhere. Frustrating experience for sure.

It is so nice to have small and friendly hardware store in the neighborhood. They always have what I am looking for. I can get in and with out any hassles. Their pricing is comparable to big hardware companies, so they do not break my bank. I really enjoy their selection of seasonal items. Always finding fun things for my yard and home at ACE.

The staff here is not very friendly or helpful. The cashier greets you at the door, but don't expect personalized service. I'd much rather spend my money at Pilot Lumber where they appreciate your business and go out of their way to help.

Great place to avoid big box stores. Less of a selection but worth it in convenience. Now with a different social norm, found it annoying that employees were hanging at end of aisles not practicing social distancing. Also smoker standing outside door smoking. Maybe move to side of building? Glad to see cashier had protective area.
