Awful dirty place to stay. Mice droppings allover the floors. Mold in the shower. Steps were broken. Found a pill in the corner of the bedroom that obviously had not been swept

Overpriced slips and the water around the slips looks nasty. Almost stagnant. Need better lighting and that bottom parking area still has debris all over it from construction from years ago. Rude of them to block off a huge section of lake with a giant marina that isn't accessible to the public. Don't enforce rules about dumping houseboats. The whole time I worked there, I never saw a pump truck come to empty one.

I rented the cottage number 9 at Lee's Ford Marina to spend a weekend with my family on the water. We arrived late after 9 pm and brought our luggage , upon immediate inspection we discovered that all the furniture and kitchen cabinets look like these been purchased at Salvation Army. Upholstered chairs smelled terrible and we had move these out of the area where we sat down. Everything was extremely dirty . Kitchen cabinets had missing fronts. In two beds under the bed sheets there was considerable amount of human hair. We laid down our towels on the top and tried to sleep - my son came down with a serious case of asthma. I inspected air return and realized that air filter isn't changed probably for years. Around the air vent in the bedroom there was growth of black moldy substance. We had to vacate the place on the middle of the night and booked the hotel. We sent email with photos to lodging manager. We tried calling the number on the reservation and there was only v-mail , so we went to speak to management at the marina , lodging manager wasn't available and we explained our issues to two young people at the cash register. Next morning on Sunday we are getting a phone call from the lady named Erin that fills in for the manager while manager was on personal leave. Erin said that she is not going to do a single thing about it and we were under contract and cant get out of it.Include photos from the cottage - I am not sure about your standards , but I haven't seen anything like that ever!! Be very aware of the fact that the people you will be dealing with have never been through hospitality training plus Erin simply didn't care .

I am sharing this info only because I feel any future renters of a houseboat, specifically the Tiny Coral will be aware of what we experienced and be prepared. Note there was ALOT of floating debris in most parts of the lake to avoid while driving the boat. Here is my list....1. No seat or stool for captain of boat we used a stool from the kitchen.2. The downstairs beds will vibrate (and upper bed will vibrate too) the downstairs room will vibrate with the noise of the generator. We were told not to turn the generator off although we were told by another marina (who in fact were very helpful) that we could turn it off. The emancipator for the toilet is down there too and runs constantly, you'll hear it.3. Bring a night light there is no light downstairs.4. There are no hooks, drawers, or shelves to store your clothes/bags.5. There are no window coverings/blinds/or shades.6. There is not a washer or dryer in the unit.7. The hot tub on top deck was completely out of water within 2 hrs of leaving the dock. We were told they forgot to put the plug in when it was filled. Also on the top deck only two chairs, there were four of us.8. The furniture on the front and back deck consisted of a dirty pvc table with 4 small metal chairs, the back deck had 4 chairs (1 broken couldn't use) and a broken wooden table. Actually looked like the furniture was found on the side of the road.9. Boat should be better equipped with docking and emergency equipment. ( a marine radio)We were not monetarily compensated for our inconveniences, we were given merchandise from the marina store.I will say the inside of the boat does show well. All appliances worked. No issues in the bathroom other than a loose toilet seat which we fixed. And there are hooks in the bathroom to hang your towels.10. The washer and dryer at the marina are a mess, try not to do your laundry there. As far as Lake Cumberland we were surprised of all the debris/garbage and logs floating in the lake, sad. There were some pretty sites to see on the lake.Oh note in pic below the clever way of keeping the gas flowing while fueling by our Lees Ford Marina dock guy while filling the tank at the end of our trip. All this being said the staff was very nice and "tried" to accommodate us.

Can't say enough good things about Lee's Ford Marina! My wife and I rented a houseboat here quite a few times the prices are fair and the houseboats are always clean and operate well . Now my wife and I purchased a houseboat and moved it to Lee's Ford because of the awesome staff and Friendly people there. A special shout out to Vince on the staff there he always makes you feel welcome and ready to help you in anyway he can !!!

I don’t have a bad thing to say about this marina at all. Every single staff member we have spoke to have been kind, helpful, and friendly. The dock hands at the fuel deck are more than willing to help and make sure to accommodate your needs. The marina staff inside at the desk are wonderful and friendly. The soft serve ice cream is good! A golf cart taxi service is offered if your rental is far down the dock from the marina. Extremely helpful. The harbor cottage we rented (blue two story as pictured) is very nice and spacious...but used. It needs a face lift. We overlooked the minor dents, dings, and dirty carpet because you can tell it has been put to use and enjoyed by many, I’m sure. I would confidently recommend Lee’s Ford Marina to any!

We rented the little tiny, coral house boat. We had an amazing time. Everyone who works there is very pleasant and patient. They’re willing to help you with anything. When we arrived, we were late, and the boat was left open for us. Some of the electrical was not working, but we called. Vince and he came from home and got us all set up. It is one of the more pleasant things we’ve ever done, taking the boat out, navigating the water, and tying up for the night. It’s quiet, clean and just lovely. Driving the boat took some effort, but it is worth it. The boat was clean and well appointed. Be sure to ask for suggestions of where to look for a place to tie off.Couldn’t have ask for a more well run marina.

Ive been holding back a negative review since our stay july 1, but i can agree with others reviews below 1 star is over rating the place. Pictures of the rental houseboats thru harbor cottage on their website is straight up false advertising. Our stay was miserable, but tried to make the best of it for our kids. And if u have any issues dont expect any Lees ford people to put customer service or honesty first.Update after owners response below-Just a true display of your honesty. Here is pics of your dirty rental that was hillbilly tied up with ski rope that came loose and bashed into our personal boat doing thousands in damage, yet you still deny deny deny any problems. Just look at the mold growing on the side of that rental and compare to the pristine pictures on website. False advertising. Yes there was a minor storm the nite your houseboat broke loose. Yes That was an act of god however there is still responsibility to secure your possessions. Securing a large houseboat with ski rope seems like an act of stupidity. Every time we pulled up to your precious stationary boat you say is so popular we wanted to go buy our own pressure washer to wash the mold off of the vinyl siding of the sitting area for you. Watch the lake cumberland facebook page to see what everyone thinks of the Lees ford owner JD Hamilton. Check out the BBB reviews. I think the positive reviews on here are paid or fake accounts. Wished we would have done more research before booking. We learned the hard way.

I honestly feel bad writing this. In the past this is the restaurant we would recommend visitors to try.Now it is just sad.The tables, floors, and bathrooms are unsanitary. They are understaffed. Absolutely every dish (4 ppl) was room temp or missing ingredients.I’m not sure where things went wrong, but I felt cheated to pay for this experience. We won’t be returning anytime soon.I was asked to remove this review because it is a "separate business" however I don't think that is fair. This restaurant is part of the Lee's Ford Marina and Resort vacation experience.... all of the companies are owned by the same individual (KY SOS BUSINESS SEARCH Lee's Ford and Harbor Hospitality all shown same business owner). Responsibility needs to be accepted for the shambles that this restaurant is in.

Our group of 8 rented a pontoon for the day and had a wonderful time. The marina has everything you need and offers great service. The lake is lovely this time of year!

Do NOT rent pontoons nor run abouts from Lee’s Ford Marina. The boats were unbelievably dirty with rips in the upholstery, mold and mildew all over the boats and old caked on food on the grills. The pictures on the website are of when the boats were new. They look nothing like the pictures and have clearly not been maintained well. Be aware when you rent, no matter what the reason even when it is their issue they will not refund. They do not tell you that information. You are only aware when you receive the contract. This is nothing less than false advertising in addition to a bait and switch operation.

My wife and I and 12 TEENAGERS rented the SummerSun Harbor Cottage / Houseboat (slept all of us) and a Jetski for my daughter's 16th Birthday. Not only was the Marina staff professional and courteous, but they went out of their way to make the weekend special. Before departure, the Houseboat Manager walked through the boat with me and explained all of the operations. They even added additional chairs and cushions to accommodate our extra passengers. With my First Mate lacking in experience, they gladly assisted me with helping secure and tie up the boat in a waterfall cove for the weekend (about 1.5 miles away from the Marina) . . I gladly tipped the deckhand some extra cash, but it was never asked for. The boat had everything we needed to cook for 14 over the course of 3 days (Grill and Propane Provided). Boat was equipped with Household appliances to include Double sided fridge and Washer/Dryer. . .they even thought to include a huge portable Bluetooth Speaker that the kids took with them everywhere. It was a weekend that none of us will forget, and Lee's Ford Marina and their staff are commended.

Compared to when we were there 2 yrs ago the quality of the food was not the same. We ordered a ribeye medium, and the steak came out looking nicely pink but trying to cut it was difficult and the chew was near impossible! Good thing the portobello mushrooms fries are the same, otherwise we would have left hungary. Even the loaded potato was dry! Service was Great..

We rented the tiny coral houseboat in May ‘23. This boat appeared to be brand new. Very cute. Loads of daylight. The trip was excellent. Quite a bit of debris to navigate around in the fishing creek leaving the marina but the main river cleared up a bit. We motored quite a ways and used about 65 gallons of gas over three days. Service at the marina was very friendly. We found every interaction to be cherry and helpful.

We rented Cottage 6 for a long weekend at the marina. It was pet friendly so we paid an extra $100.PRO: The AC worked great and the beds were comfy. The restaurant was very good and nice to be across the street. Daily towels and trash pickup was nice.CONS: I walked into the cottage and it smelled terrible, like several dead mice. NONE of the windows opened or had screens, but there is a small window in the kitchen that I opened and aired out the cottage. It helped. There were only 2 glasses in the kitchen, so I reported it and they did bring news ones the next morning. Several spider webs around the walls. I was very disappointed with the condition of the cottage for the money that I paid. Look at the pictures, they pretty much tell everything. We will not stay here again. Also, I went to park at the marina and they tried to make me pay $20, I told them I was staying at the cabins and I had the yellow pass in my car yet they still told me $20. No thank you, I parked at the cabin and walked down (HUGE hill). Cottage is in need a massive repair, as noted in the photos. Adding 3% for credit card fees is LAME!!!

What a great experience at Lee’s Ford marina. Thanks to Jagger who every day escorted us on our ski boat. He’s a professional, fine upstanding young man who knows about boating and wakeboarding. We definitely will be back to rent a boat. We love Lake Cumberland.

So I called to rent a pontoon boat a couple days ahead of our arrival to Lake Cumberland. I had called a couple marinas before I decided to book with Lees Ford. I spoke to Grace, she was very nice and she told me I could reschedule at anytime with no additional charge. I liked that since the other 2 places said I couldn't move my day. Grace said just call and let us know. Cool, booked for 4 hours! Then comes Friday, I call and talk to Grace and say todays weather isn't looking so great, would like to switch to Saturday, she says oh no sorry, no boats for tomorrow. I said wait, just talked to you 2 days ago and you said would not be a problem. Then she said oh sorry was looking at 2022 schedule. Then put me on hold again and again sorry now looking at 2023, still no boats. They have an upgraded boat for 195.00 more. I said nope I want a boat for what I already paid per our conversation. She said I'll ger a manger.Debbie gets on the phone an tells me I don't know how the boat rental business works. Well that is true, I don't first time boat renter here. I'm not personally in the boat rental business, couldn't care less if I'm getting a more expensive boat. My kids just want a boat, my dad is going to drive it, he know how. My kids just want to be on the water. Just give me any boat at the price I already paid. Nope, she will have the boss of her and the whole place call me, I assume the owner....Brandy calls me with the worst attitude right at the start. Saying she's confused and I need to explain what happened. I try to explain and she keeps interrupting me, if she knows what happened why have me explain? Brandy needs a course in customer service. I finally give up and tell her to charge my card the extra 195.00, to make ,my kids happy. Again, Brandy is a relentless B, terrible customer service. I'm thinking if she is the owner, terrible shame. Brandy needs to train her employee Grace on what to say to customers instead of trying to make up excuses for her.So the day I go for the boat, Grace checks me in. Check in was, she just asked for my name, no paper work, no id was ever asked for and sends me outside to wait by gas pumps. I'm waiting for 5 minutes and nothing. Then a nice man by the name of David comes up to me and asks if I need help and I said yes just waiting for my boat. He askes what boat, I gave him my name and Grace didn't do any paperwork so back inside I went. Then I talked to Vince and explained the terrible service his boss Brandy gave me. Vince and David made things right for me. Thanks.

ALL. HAIL. JOSH D!!Some how, some way, Cottage 12 left us locked out of our own bathroom. The doorknob fell off and we had made multiple attempts to get through on our own. After countless unanswered calls to management, we decided to call the marina restaurant. One brave man took the call and stepped into the line of duty. Armed only with a butter knife, Josh knocked on our door. This beautiful man swung his butter knife around and literally seconds later, the gate to our porcelain throne was restored.I’m still not sure what was more surprising. The fact that Josh had our door open in seconds, or that he declined the beer we offered to him. At least he accepted the remnants of the Father’s Day cake as a “Thank you.”All hail Josh!

Would not recommend for pontoon rentals. We rented a pontoon for the day. The gas gauge was iffy. But most importantly, the ladder fell off on our first stop. Someone went to get off the pontoon into the water and it fell off. She was able to catch it with her foot, but it was near impossible to get back into the boat. We returned the boat very early that day since it would be difficult to enjoy it and get in/out of the boat.Upon return, we notified the staff of the issue. They were very nice in telling us they would only charge us for the hours used. Very fair arrangement. They said the manager would be calling us to discuss the details further. After a week, the person who made the reservation called to inquire about it and had to leave a message. Called a week later. Had to leave a message. Finally, this past Wednesday she was able to speak with the manager. She told us she would find our packet and call us back after she made a pizza for someone. It is now Friday and no refund or call back. Called again, had to leave a message. Not sure how else to get this resolved. Please email me for the name of the person who made our reservation. kelly.blakesly@gmail.comThanks!UPDATE 9-16-2020After 6 or so phone calls, the issue has been resolved and a refund was given for the hours we were unable to use on the boat. The manager was very apologetic.

This place should be on everyone’s bucket list! The folks who run this marina are wonderful. The staff is very customer oriented. They go out of their way to make your visit fun. The marina itself is a bit overwhelming, but well taken care of. We stayed in a 2 story houseboat owned by the marina. Fair warning, it’s not a Manhattan hotel, but it’s pretty darn nice! You can’t beat sleeping on the water. We rented a pontoon boat and strolled 28 miles around the river and enjoyed the most beautiful scenery. Definitely a must visit place! Thanks!!!!

The deep fried lobster was very good. The breading on the shrimp, grouper, clams was very light.
