Was on a trip to New York City and close to Morehead when I felt rumble strip type vibration on left turns at high speed. I pulled over and randomly call Morehead Tire. I asked if they could look at it and give me an assessment of the issue and the safety of the car to continue my trip. They agreed to assess it. After test driving it they indicated the lower control arm needed replacing. I was shocked when they said they could get one delivered and installed in about 1.5 hours. Job was completed on time at reasonable cost. Continued on my trip and returned with no problem. The staff was very accommodating and pleasant. Great experience.

👍👍👍👍👍Morehead TIRE and AUTOMOTIVE is the place to go in Morehead KyI was at walmart they told me I was the 4 th person in line at 7.15 am. After 1.45 hrI asked how much longer to get my tire plugged. Well you are 4th in line so not much longer probably about an 1 hr. LolsSo I called MOREHEAD TIRE & AUTOMOTIVE.SHE ASKED WHAT I NEEDED DONE. TOLD HER I had a leak in my tire. She said to bring it on in. Was there and out in about 10 minutes. They had it done before I could even text my husband . Excellent service. Excellent quality. Excellent prices. I requested a tire rotation and check on some squeaky brakes. I was able to get in within the week. I did not have to wait all day for an update and they did not try to sell me anything I didn't need. I was prepared to replace the brakes but they advised they still had quite a bit of life left and it was the brand that was know for premature squeakage. They could have just told me I needed to replace them and taken my money. 10/10 would recommend.

I've had work done at this garage twice. The second time, they failed to inform me of damage they caused. I thought they did well the first time, until I recently discovered it has resulted in other issues.

They were very kind and helpful when my power searing needed replacing, Unfortunately for me they actually put in a part made for a larger car causing an extra thousand dollars in damage and now I will also need to replace the tires it ruined. So if it is a small job maybe they are okay but anything that could possibly come apart on the interstate and cause an accident I would go ahead and find somewhere else.Service: Steering & suspension repair

Great experience I had two tires mounted and rotated. I did make an appointment earlier this morning and when I arrived they greeted me with a smile and it was super fast unlike other places around here(Walmart). I think I was in and out in less than 20 min. Absolutely will be going back for my next issue. They were also better priced than most places!! I had to have my car towed here late at night when my battery suddenly died, and this shop got me fixed up and back on the road by noon the next day. The price was very fair and the customer service was excellent. I highly recommend this shop!

The car has a loud sound in the front end after they put two tires on the front end. I don't know if it's the tires or my brakes but they told me my brakes were fine so maybe it's the tires. It would have seemed like they would have test drove it and let me know why it was loud but guess not. The price was fair for the tires and the staff was extremely friendly.

First time taking my car here and I am glad I did! Had brakes and rotors put on. They did a good job and I feel safer now. Was expecting a big bill but was not bad at all. I think I will have all my car issues done there. They were really friendly!

We hit a deer traveling through, and Brad was extremely helpful. He called all around and was able to find us a used radiator on the cheap last minute on a Friday. What an awesome experience. I went in with an exhaust issue. I was planning on a major bill and a long wait time. My issue was fixed in 25 minutes and my bill was $37. I will be back for sure!!! Very friendly staff as well!!

My car was making creaking noises when braking so I wanted to get it looked at. I went to Aaron’s and was thoroughly unimpressed with the way the guy at the counter didn’t really seem to care my car had issues. They said to drop it off, and they might get to it. So I went to Morehead Tire & Auto. They quickly got my car in, diagnosed the issue, and had it all repaired, and I was in and out in an hour and 15 minutes. The new rotors did rust quickly, but I’ve been told it’s normal. Also, the brakes still do creak a little, but I’m going to assume it’s just my old car, and it definitely sounds better than it did. This place also won’t try to upsell you too much as the front desk lady was gracious in telling me it’s my choice and patiently waited while I called my dad for advice. All in all, pretty good service, and the price was decent too.

During a recent cross-country trip (heat wave and w/senior dog) I had undercarriage trouble w/my car. AAA failed to come after hours of waiting in dangerous heat I discovered this shop. 1500 miles from home and unfamiliar with surroundings, I (my dog) was generously welcomed and cared for, and my car was quickly diagnosed. Turned out just to be my an unhinged muffler but I was so grateful for the honest, friendly, hospitable attention received. Sparing me an unplanned hotel night, I was quickly on my way-very happy to pay the minimal service fee that was humbly asked of me. These are clearly good, kind folks. Rest assured you’ll be treated fairly and attentively should you find yourself in need of auto help. (Photos show office staff tending to my pup as I was enjoying local BBQ-hadn’t eaten all day and will remember both the hospitality and good meal!)

Driving through Morehead Kentucky spent the night at a local hotel got up in the morning and did the absolute boneheaded thing you could do . put gasoline in my diesel engine. Miss marked fuel pump, etc etc anyway called them told them I am from out of town passing through. They sent the tow truck ,towed the car, drained the tank ,drained injectors, changed filters and fixed it . wife and I play the over under game expecting the bill. she said what it was over I said what it was under and both of us were wrong . extremely reasonably priced!!! I ,ve had bar bills at breakfast that were higher then they charged me! Great service , very kind people from the tow truck driver who said we will take care of you and gave me a ride back to my hotel to the owner operator of the garage who said will treat you like you're one of our own.

I have gone here several times and every time I have had anything repaired it is been affordable and it was done in a timely manner. Keith is the person that helped me he has also helped my friends with their cars everyone I know has been pretty satisfied with his work. They plugged my tire and balanced the rest most recently and filled my spare up for 20$

If you’re tired of limited service of “Aerins” (sic) and you’re sick of the shoddy over priced “Minor Brands”, (sic), it’s time to support a new local business that treats you like their neighbors and not customers who they are going to squeeze every dime out of lol. I have been praying that our town would get a great garage and yay!!! We do! Small businesses are owned by the people in our community.After the terrible experience at this building 20 years ago, I was reluctant but new owners are kind, courteous, quick and quality work and more than reasonable prices! Would recommend to everyone.

This is by far the best auto repair shop in Morehead, KY. I have been using this shop for several different vehicles over several years. The owners are extremely kind and caring. They will always give you a fair price and never try to rip you off. They do great work for a very fair price. I don't know what I would do if this shop wasn't in town. I have used other shops in Morehead and have been taken advantage of badly. If you live in Morehead, you need to bring your car here and only here.

Went to have the front passenger side looked at. They diagnosed it as a inner tie rod. Had them replace it, when I got it back as soon as I took a sharp turn it sounded like metal on metal. Was not doing that before they worked on it. Called them, they looked at it and said oh yea it’s a wheel bearing , but refuse to take any responsibility for the fact that they caused it.

Keith is over priced and only has one knowledgeable mechanic available. I’m not a fan of pricing minor repairs more than twice that of their competitors. Really $25 to plug and patch a tire. This wasn’t a hot patch that takes 1/2 hour to do either. I’ll do it myself next time and save the $25.

My first experience at Morehead Tire & Auto may have been the best experiences I've had at an auto repair shop. Found out I had a hole in my front tire and called them up when they opened. They told me they could probably plug it based on my description and told me if I could bring it down right away, they could get me in and take care of it. The mechanic inspected the car and found one of the holes and plugged it but also found additional holes and actually sounded a bit sad that I was going to have to pay to replace the tire. He said they had it in stock at another shop and told me he would charge me $112 for the tire and no additional labor costs. I was in and out in about 30-40 minutes and when I told him my heat shield under my car was loose, he tightened that back up at no extra cost. I thought this was going to take up a good chunk of my day and this place got me in and out in no time. Anytime I have to have similar work done on my car in Morehead, I'll be coming here every time.

Keith and the folks at Morehead Tire & Auto did a great job fixing my little Civic's brakes. After getting it from a local buy-here/pay-here lot which shall remain nameless, that had the brakes cobbled up and left it dangerous to be driven, Morehead Tire & Auto fixed the lines safely and correctly and did so for as close to what they originally quoted me on an expected single brake line (ended up needing 3 lines replaced). The job would no doubt have costed 3 or 4 times as much with Major Brands. Thankful for a fair and thorough shop in the area!

I will never EVER come to this place again! I went to have my car checked out and wasn’t told that I would be charged. I was charged $40 just to have someone look at my car and then they wouldn’t give me my keys and i was threatened when told that we weren’t going to pay. My boyfriend is a dark skinned male and they acted very hostile and threatened to be hostile toward him. This is one of the worst places in morehead. I wouldn’t give this place even a star if I was able.

Contacted Morehead Tire and auto after a terrible experience with a local repair shop. Have a child at Morehead State and her car was having trouble, luckily I found Morehead Tire and auto. If you have a child far away from home and need someone you can trust this is the place, very helpful, courteous and trust worthy. If I get the call again ‘Dad there is something wrong with my car’, I know who I will be calling!!!!!! Thanks so much Keith and Lori God bless you!!!! Yes
