It’s an alright grocery store. Selection is okay if you’re just looking for regular items. The international section is pretty good. They had a bread I really liked, a real sourdough from Izzio that wasn’t made with fake enriched wheat with all that man made folic acid added ya know? Look up the enrichment of bread. Synthetic folic acid is real bad for you. Anyway, I noticed that it was out of stock. I asked multiple times over a period of about two months, and was told it was unavailable. The tag remained on the shelf, and the shelf is still empty. I asked the GM and she said she ordered it but the warehouse scratched it and didn’t send it. Frustrating. The Kroger about 40mins away has the bread no problem. I guess I’ll have to just drive way out of the way just to find bread that isn’t all processed and just get the rest of my groceries in Mt. Sterling. So, they tried but I guess the warehouse sucks. LolUpdate: Shelf still empty for quite a few items that are usually here. This is a common occurrence here. I had to come back to pick up items for a family member as I now shop at the Mt. Sterling location.

Look this isn’t going to stop me from doing grocery shopping, but it has stopped me from using their pharmacy. My pregnant wife tried three different times to get a minor booster shot. First trip they said no it needed to be complete two weeks in between each shot. I understand so that makes sense. second attempt they told her that they needed proof of the length of her pregnancy and proof of the doctor’s office she goes to. Which she showed them and they did not accept that cause they need to talk to her doctor on the phone. So we gave them one last chance. She arrives around 12. They told her she couldn’t, and had to come back cause lunch was at 1230. I would understand that reason if it was five minutes out but this shot is just a quick injection and have her waiting 15 minutes in their waiting lobby. They could do what they need to do to finish up on the way to lunch. It just makes it more infuriating that we called ahead of time. The person at the counter wasn’t helpful. Nothing was communicated across the staff and we were told we could do the shot, but unaware of the time frame for lunch Plus it was our third time trying to get this simple injection just to get told to come back tomorrow.

Picked up groceries on the 3rd of January and received milk that expires the 5th of January just 2 days after. That's unacceptable. Maybe teach the employees how to read dates better. Expired milk can make a person sick if consumed.

Since the construction of a new area of the store it has made the rest of the store super crowded. There is not enough room for carts from both directions to pass each other.There is still a great selection of products! The staff is super friendly.Whoever designed the parking lot must have been drunk. It makes no sense.

Editing this review. The cashier rather than asking for our rewards card used one she had at the station. We spent over $100 and this she got our gas points.Moved everything around AGAIN. We asked three employees where to find the queso cheese and no one knew. If you must follow corporate rules about which stock to carry and where to put it, at least tell your employees so they can help. Shelves were fully stocked so it must be somewhere.

More lines opened would be nice. Scan yourself is fine if you just run in for an item or two. But I already have a job, I don't want the job of bagging my own groceries. This is why I stopped going to Walmart, no cashier lanes, now you're getting close to being just as bad. But I do like the selection and even the new layout.

Not enough lines and the pharmacy is horrible. Been waiting in line for 30 mins now and only 3 cars ahead of me to Start off with. I tried to go inside at first but you can't go to the pharmacy inside due to renovation. I'm changing my mother-in-law's prescriptions to a different pharmacy.

Today May, 17 at 12:45 pm I went to get gas at Kroger.I get fuel here often. The young guy working was the rudest person I’ve ever encountered there. I’ was shocked bc always the attendant is very kind and helpful. It was obvious he didn’t want to be of any assistance to his customers.

Check out lines were extremely long this afternoon. Other than that and some outrageous prices on several items, it's a good place to shop. As for the high prices, you have to take advantage of sales and digital coupons, and buy only items that are on sale or for which you have a coupon.

Have done grocery pickup here a few times and enjoy it much more than using the local Walmart.Pros: Check-in is easier and much faster service. Better selection of items. Like the bags which are larger and thicker than typical grocery bags and easily repurposed. Parking area is clean and always has pickup slots available which are very well marked.Cons: A little more expensive and seem to be out of certain items on a regular basis.

This is our preferred grocery store! Always well stocked, clean and the employees are courteous! I’ve never waited in a long here either! These cashiers move with a purpose! Avoid self checkout: cashiers are being laid off to save money !

Love this Kroger. It’s has vegan marshmallows which is hard to find in big chain stores. Definitely a lot more options for a clean diet and for a vegetarian diet.

My preferred grocery store in town for the most part. They only place I will buy veggies as the selection is typically very fresh. Great deli department and the bakery has quite a few options. The pharmacy is convenient as well. I love that I can clip coupons online so I dont have to deal with paper coupons. Great weekly deals and pretty friendly staff. I only have a few complaints. First would be the app situation. Now, I understand this particular Kroger does not control the whole app, so it did not affect the score. However, it is still something I feel shoppers should be aware of. The shopping list feature on the app has a tendency to duplicate items, not remove them when prompted, and sometimes delete the whole list while using it. Obviously it is a huge hassle to lose your whole list while actively shopping, so save yourself the headache and just write a list if you have a big trip. These two complaints did affect the score. I have found mold on a couple of produce and bakery items over the past few years, however it was always handled promptly and professionally so I do not count it against them much. The parking situation is atrocious. There is never enough parking, and that was made worse when they dedicated a good chunk of the spaces for clicklist. Also just getting to the parking lot is a whole different mess as well. Crazy turn ins and multiple stop lines make for very confusing situations.

for a place that is for the public and for customers being able to come and ask you for help, they do a terrible job with this. staff was just flat out rude to me to my face. only reason i gave it even two stars instead of simply just one is because of the decent prices.

I remember the days when companies would actually go above and beyond for their customers. Kroger Pharmacy in Morehead is definitely not one of them.After being told to have a RX sent in for Milk Storage bags (that they can get) so my insurance will pay for them, I had my midwife send the RX today, I went to Kroger to follow up on it, and the pharmacist literally tells me that the storage bags are not an rx in their system, so they would have to contact the company that enters them in their system and she literally tells the technician that it will take to long to do, so I need to go to a home health office and try there.Absolutely ridiculous. 😡

I was new to this area even though I grew up close by. So I express my words on my personal experiences with these Big Companies, Kroger Not EXEMPT! Anyway, I stopped by one cold night. At the time knowing the hours were changed because of the world chaos, I pulled into the parking lot running to grab one gallon of milk. Door was locked. I knocked and knocked. Finally some fella said we are closed and I said it's not time, he said I know. I asked for supervisor, she came to the door which at this time i still had a few minutes before they actually closed. She said oh know we close 15 minutes early which i knew was not right because I lived here and stopped many times just to grab a last minute item and never had a problem. because those super isles locked the doors as scheduled by the policy . Will never shop there again. And we used Kroger for everything including gas. I have the lady's name that did this. In case management does actually read this.

Waited over 15 minutes just to be told 1/2 prescriptions were ready at the pharmacy, finally get done shopping go to check-out to realize they only have 1 check out with a long line open so every one actually grocery shopping has to use self check out, which started to hold it up, finally get to leave check-out, stop to get gas thinking I'll be able to use my fuel points, for the cashier at the fuel station to lie to me and tell me I only have .03 off a gallon when I actually have over 400 points, she handed me the recipet and sure enough I have 400+ points. DO BETTER KROGER.

This is not a rating of a store, but rather Kroger's on-line vendors. I placed an order and received the wrong product. When trying to correct the issue, I have received nothing but delay tactics. Very disappointed in the on-line service.

Had a bad experience at this Krogers due to bad customer service....I had to stop by this Kroger for my daughter grabbed her needs and jumped in self checkout like I always do there because they only have one lane open which is usually backed up .the self checkout messed up on me so I had to transfer it to the person you was running the self checkout poor girl was new to her job .and her rude boss Melanie made some of the rudest comment that you would not expect someone representing Krogers to be that rude making comments like that's why I should of went through the regular line , and well that way I should of checked out before I did and for her to get my problem resolved. I would have to come back in the morning cause she had to leave and kept on making rude comments and not willing to help me at all after charging my card twice. People like her do not need to represent Kroger you definitely need kinder people other then MELANIE she acts like she hates her job to be honest and this is not the first bad experience with this individual . She always is rude and normally I can just brush it off , but yesterday she was. Was the rudest I ever seen ...... Krogers I know you can do better !!!....she should not be able to talk to loyal customer's like that!

Friendly staff, incredibly helpful with pretty much anything you might need. They go above and beyond to assist.The store is most often kept clean l. Easy to navigate. Good quality produce.They keep enough cashier's on staff to normally keep you from waiting in the checkout line to long.

If I could leave a zero star for this store I definitely would. They are rude to know end in this place and won't help you for anything. They get paid to do a job and are so lazy that they just want to clock in and get paid but do nothing and no one does anything about it so it is pointless to complain. Walmart is a whole lot better and right around the curve so its worth the extra minute to go there instead!!!

Edit 23/6/2023 Is this place under new management? Most of the staff looks downright shellshocked today...so glad we have Kroger here. Good prices, lots of organic, and the employees seem happy to work there.FINALLY Kroger has wifi for their customers. Thank you!

Their fresh produce and many organic food options are important to me. They have a lot of good healthy eating options. Sushi is great. The meat department is best in town. Always great deals with your Kroger card. I shop here mostly at night and the night shift people are always so helpful.

Big Store! Bought flowers there and they were beautiful. Also bought Ale 8 in the bottles. Store was clean. Didn't have to wait in line. They had plenty of lanes open.

Don't bother doing click list pick up here!Items missing : jelly, 2lbs lunch meat, chips, bread. I was not notified through their click list process that I wouldn't be receiving these items. Got to my campsite and didn't have this stuff. I've used a few other Kroger's and have never had this issue. Not one time. They also put coffee filters in my bag that I did not order? Very inconvenient and disappointed.
