I drive from Winchester simply because they are the BEST. I highly recommend Midway if you have a pet with any complex medical issue. They will do everything in their power to help your pet. I’m forever grateful for all they’ve done for my fur babies.

We started going to Dr. Ashley Claunch and Dr. Nancy McGregor for a second opinion on one of our cats to get as much information and care for her as possible in a very difficult time and we loved them so much we stayed on as regular patients with all our cats. The staff and Doctors are compassionate, sweet, and personable. We've had some difficult cases with our cats but they are there each time to offer expert advice, information, and tender care in the worst of times. I would never expect a Doctor or Vet to call me after hours on her own time but Dr.McGregor did just that when one of my sweet but not so bright orange boys potentially swallowed a foreign body. They all go above and beyond and we see that and appreciate you all!

I've been there several times and every time I call, I'm treated with respect, always kind and helpful. When I arrive they are always kind and they work with you with any issues and are attentive and they really show they care there. Every time I've gone it's been a good experience and they make sure you have everything you need to make your fur baby feels better. Very impressed with them and I will always go back. I'd give them 10 stars if I could.

They are so nice, and really professional as well. They will take the time to answer your questions, help you with whatever you or your fur baby needs. And they aren't outrageous with the prices of services or vaccines or anything. Very reasonable. You can tell they love animals there. They know animals i will be taking my fur baby here no matter if I move out of midway or not. 😁

In addition to very professional, friendly staff and very personable and knowledgeable veterinarian this clinic is affordable! Our dog has needed a dental service for quite some time but prices at my prior veterinary clinic were very high. We could not put it off any longer and our precious pup also had some other issues. The dental service, x-ray, office visit and meds total were 1/3 of what the dental service alone would’ve cost at my prior Vet!Highly recommend!!

Both vets are extremely knowledgeable and if unable to find a prognosis they will do their best to find it. When it comes to emergencies I have never had any problems with calling over the weekend and getting a response from whomever is on call within 5 min. I recommend them to everyone in the area of Midway, Versailles, Frankfort, Lexington- In other words i recommend them to anyone who wants the best care in a small town.

I have been going to MSAC for approximately eight years now, and I have nothing but praise for Dr. McGregor and now Dr. Buck. Both are amazing with my animals (at one time I had six cats, three dogs, and 21 chickens and roosters). When my dog became severely distended Christmas Eve, they took him in for an emergency visit (I couldn't lift him myself, and he was in pain) so they we're kind enough to pick him up from where I was. If you think THAT is unheard of... You'd be right! He was very sick, but of course they allowed me and my other dog to have Christmas day with my family, and my sick boy got to spend it with Dr. McGregor at her home.The cost is reasonable, the care is more than you could ever ask for, the staff is friendly and comfortable, the location in Ruth's old house is fitting (due to her love of cats), and if we had more vets who are not just dedicated, but actually care more about the cat, dog, chicken, rooster, reptile, bird, sugar glider... Whatever creature great and small they can handle with the greatest care, utmost respect, and diligence to their oath.

They go above and beyond. December 24th, 2018 I called at 6 AM after watching my brindle boxer Uno's stomach continue to expand. Ofc I thought his stomach had flipped and he would need surgery and was in a panic. Dr. Ashley and her husband came immediately and picked him up from my house and took him in to the office. This is Christmas EVE folks...what vets give THAT much dedication and care to their patients? Dr. Ashley and Dr. Nancy do...Dr. Nancy took him home with her that night and kept him until the 26th...He got to spend his last Christmas Eve and Christmas Day with others who had fallen in love with him perhaps not as much as I, but definitely the love and care for him was there. Dr. Nancy not wanting to upset, alarm, or cause ME emotional distress took care of him as her own. When I went to pick him up...I learned he had full blown cancer (she at the time did not want me to know how short a time he had left on this Earth). Apparently, he was not in anyone's medical opinion going to see 2019 New Year's nontheless, he stayed with me until February 28th, 2019, and waited for me to come home. I contacted Dr. Nancy and informed her I was coming in because 'it was time'- meaning I could not bare to see him in such pain and made the very hard decision to...you can guess. Oddly enough, though he did not act in pain, during the entire time until that one day his body decided to choose for him. He died in my arms, in his home, and though he was quite the 'fighter' (trying to add some humor since he was a Boxer), he let go. I called Dr. Nancy back and informed her there was no need for a needle, for he had gone. I wept for a while as I am now writing this, and when I was able to I loaded him into my truck with his favorite comforter and took him at 9 PM to the clinic...I do not know how long I sat on that front porch cradling him in my arms until I called Dr. Nancy and asked her to come. I had made the decision he wasn't ready to go, but his body gave him no choice, and I wasn't ready to let go either...so, I'd decided to have him cremated so he could stay a little while longer. When I got him back, he was in a beautiful box, and she'd even had them make an impression of one of his paws. She and her staff also wrote me a symphony card, sent by mail. It is coming up on the Anniversary of his death. It still hurts knowing one of the best members of my family, and the closest best friend anyone could ask for is gone. I still mourn him and am still grieving, but those at The Midway Small Animal Clinic who knew him loved him as well. He stole many hearts, and still has a piece of mine forever and always.Prices in comparison to other clinics or offices are extremely competitive to what they COULD charge. Not to mention the kindness, care, and willingness to listen to you when you know something is wrong, they will not dismiss you for an overreacting owner. They will find the problem, and no matter however long it takes they will find answers or who they reach out to for added thoughts on prognosis, diagnosis, or treatment.For all the animals I have lost, they have been supportive, understanding, honest, genuine, caring...and so many other positive adjectives you could possibly think of. I would not take my furrbabies anywhere else, unless they instructed me to. This kind of care for loved furrbabies, or even furrlessbabies is difficult especially in this day and age.So, I'll end on this note.Thank you to all who work currently and in the past for being quality over quantity. Thank you for giving the best care to all my furrbabies and caring for your patients as if they were your own. Thank you for your years of dedication, intensive work, and thank you for bringing your special gift and love of animals to Midway.

We've been going here since moving to Versailles and honestly we won't consider going anywhere else. Dr. McGregor et al take great care of our animals, cats and dogs, like they were their own pets. We have had tradegy strike one of our pets and the staff acted with compassion and care. These are some of the best people around and I strongly encourage you to stop by and meet the staff, you'll know why many people around here go to Midway Small Animal Clinic.
