Where do I begin? The property is beautiful. We were sat immediately, and Connor was incredibly attentive and accurately described the courses. The food came out with impeccable timing, and each course clearly had a lot of thought put into its construction. Everything complimented each other and none of the flavors on my plates clashed. An overwhelmingly pleasant experience with a very talented team of Chefs in the driver's seat. Highly recommended, I hope to dine again soon.

Celebrated my birthday at Holly Hill. Staff was so kind and attentive. Had a beautiful 3 course meal with wine pairing. Then we decided to add the cheese plate. The local cheeses- especially Kenny’s were amazing. The sunchoke bisque with carrot top pesto was SO good! Pacing of service was great too. Such a warm, inviting little retreat!

Now this place would typically be out of my price range but we recently had a company Christmas dinner here and I did not have to pay the bill. So that being said, the food was amazing. I had a five course meal and it was top notch. Specifically the 7 Fishes Salad and the roasted duck were delicious. The wine pairing was on point as well. I can't imagine what this kind of meal would cost but if you ever get the chance to have someone else pick up the tab, go for it!

My husband ate at Holly Hill Inn tonight. It was great! Every course was flavorful and cooked just right. We didn’t get the optional appetizers, though they sounded wonderful. I am glad I had plenty of room for the soup, steak and banana cake. When we first came in, noises coming from the kitchen were a little loud, but as more people filled the room and the evening got underway the kitchen noises disappeared. The wait staff were friendly and attentive.

Amazing dining experience! All of our selections for the four course dinner and wine pairing were fantastic. Above the food and service we also really enjoyed the historic home and learning the history of the former owners and uses of the property. Highly recommend!

It took me almost 36 years, but I finally made it to Holly Hill Inn, which in itself is a shame since they have BRUNCH! We enjoyed a fantastic 4-course dinner on the eve of the my fiancé’s parents 55th wedding anniversary.🍽 Amuse Bouche: Cherry tomato tart (I could have eaten an ACTUAL pie-sized version of this perfection)🍝 House pasta with pistachio pesto🍗 Joe’s duck breast, fresh corn polenta, plum sauce, roasted grapes🍑 Peach-blackberry galette, buttermilk ice cream, bourbon caramel🍹 Bourbon blackberry bramble(Plus his red snapper and dark chocolate mousse cake)Two critical pieces of feedback:1) The atmosphere they’re going for is upscale, small, and ideally intimate, but it cannot be so when one can hear the conversations at every other table (and know that they can hear yours). As of that weren’t bad enough, every door in the place is open and you can hear dishes clanging and glasses clinking. Something could be done to improve the acoustics, regardless of the age of the structure.2) While delicious, the means do not justify the ends when it comes to the four-course meal. $55 is quite a stretch for the portions we received, namely the third (main) course, and I wasn’t the only one who looked quizzically at my plate when it arrived. So keep that in mind. The service was exceptional from a professionalism standpoint, but all businesses are short-staffed right now and - understandably - service is slow and you might wait 20 minutes for someone to stop long enough to notice every drink at your table is empty. That’s ok. That said, many of the wine bottles are very reasonably priced, so order a bottle and forego the wait!

Went to HHI for our anniversary. Will not return. The food was not good. Definitely not worth $70 for the 4 courses. The Coq Au Vin chicken dish was tough and my vegetarian arepas dish was mostly garlic. The atmosphere was boring and you could easily hear everyone's conversations. Please rethink going to this restaurant, as it is overpriced. Next time we will go to Azur or Carson's.

We celebrated our 40th anniversary here! They went out of there a way to make it so special for us. Think you so much Holly Hill. If you are having any special celebration I couldn't recommend this place anymore! ❤️💯❤️

We were on a long weekend trip, participating in the Bourbon Trail. We happened across Holly Hill located in quaint Midland, KY. I would highly recommend a visit if you are in the area. This was a beautiful setting, great service and amazing food. I would recommend the wine pairing with the three course meal. Enjoy!

My husband and I went here to celebrate our anniversary and we are very disappointed we spent so much money on the dinner we were served. The water tasted like dirt so my husband ordered a beer. My husband said the scallops he had were under seasoned and though they were supposed to be bourbon flamed, had no bourbon flavor at all. He said the corn the scallops were served on was good. His halibut and shrimp were both overcooked and bland. I enjoyed the salad I ordered, as well as the quail, but my quail came with little corn cakes that were gummy/gluey. The chocolate cherry bombe we had for dessert was the highlight, though the cherry cordial flavor in the center was overly intense. It took the kitchen 2 hours to serve our four courses, which seemed like a long time to me. The staff was friendly and kind and the atmosphere is charming. It was a tough pill to swallow to pay the $$$ check after our disappointment in the food. For the price, we expected more.

Have lived in Kentucky my entire life and tried Holly Hill Inn for the first time. Atmosphere is cozy and friendly. Food is PHENOMENAL! You can definitely tell much thought is put into the menu. It's a great deal price wise considering you get four courses! This place is a Midway treasure!

We were there for brunch and three course brunch. I had a salad, Baltimore eggs Benedict and dessert. Everything was special. Portions were generous. Beautiful setting in a brick country home.

We visited Holly Hill during Lexington Restaurant Week. Our first impression was of the beautiful setting and huge old trees in the yard. Inside the building was decorated with paintings and murals making it feel generally “special”. And our meal was in fact special. Our first course was an unusual salad, green beans and a soft boiled egg with garlic caesar peppercorn dressing. Fantastic! Our entrees were a stuffed pork tenderloin with mixed greens, also truly excellent. Dessert continued the trend with a peach, blueberry, sorghum and ice cream creation. We loved everything. If forced to say anything was less than perfect it would be that the wine list could be improved. The offerings are okay but not up to the standard of the meal.

Incredibly balanced and well-proportioned dining experience. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The chef was easily able to cater to my wife's dairy allergy which was greatly appreciated. Would love to return some day!

Excellent food & service overall. Gorgeous grounds and relaxed atmosphere in a quaint historical setting. Give the cheese grits a try if you are not a fan.Still room for polish, NY Strip steaks were very poor quality. Was not asked for refills on small glass of iced tea.
