CUSTOMER SERVICE IS ALIVE AND WELL...I took my Brother Sewing machine in (1-30-24) because it was jamming on the underside of the fabric, constant E6 error. I wasn't sure if it was something I was doing wrong or the machine needed repair. Well sure enough the fabulous LINDA showed how to do things right, she even showed me how to use that auto thread feature I have never figured out how to use. This will be a lifesaver for my tired eyes. Linda...I can't thank you enough, you made my day.

We use a home rug cleaner, but use Vacuum Authority X-Tract soap for it. I was AMAZED at how much dirt and dog hair I was able to pull out of the carpet!!! I highly recommend this product.

Oh my goodness! I took the Convex Illusions class from Charlie. What a fabulous class, her patience and tips were beyond compare. While it looks terribly difficult to make, it is SEW easy. 3 days of class and I walked out with a completed quilt top.

Their payment system is bizarre -- When paying cash they cannot take payment unless you give them your full name and phone number or they cannot make the transaction. I will definitely not go back and purchase any items from them. To purchase any small item and paying cash they require all your information -- I am shocked that they did not as for my Social security number.

I had inherited a sewing machine that was missing some parts. I replaced the missing parts but could not get it to work. I took it in and watched as they made some adjustments and showed me how to thread it properly. They were amazing and now I can patch my Santa pants!

If I could give zero stars, I would. I have a well-loved Bernina sewing machine that I've faithfully maintained with yearly maintenance appointments. Dropped machine off, and when I got it home, the needle position wasn't working. Another trip back. After second "maintenance," I couldn't loosen the clutch wheel to wind a bobbin. Another trip back. The repair man who services machines was very condescending and implied it was the machine's age. No, it's your incompetence as features that were working before you put your hands on it aren't working now. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the store staff, who suggested I write a letter to the owner, which I did. NO REPLY OR FOLLOW UP PHONE CALL TO ME!! This is how you run a business? I was planning to buy a new Bernina but will drive to Cincinnati or Lexington instead. Find someplace else to get your machine serviced as this store can't be bothered with customer service.

I have an old Dirt Devil hand-held that needed attention (the rubber belt slipped its mooring). I should also mention I'm new to town. Anyway, the staff were friendly and Amanda was awesome. She got my Dirt Devil running again in about five minutes. The Sewing and Vaccum Authority will be my go-to going forward.

From the initial phone call to leaving the store… the entire staff turned my emergency situation into a stress free (enjoyable even) learning experience.Sarah was most knowledgeable about the Brother brand. She effortlessly diagnosed and fixed my little embroidery machine even though it was purchased at a big box store. She went above and beyond to get me up and running again quickly without having to ship my machine off for repair.Other honorable mentions:- joyfully greeted at the door by man’s best friend (talk about therapeutic AND smart marketing)- store was well stocked- Pam offered information about an adapted leisure program for my son.- invited to join them during open sew Tuesdays (felt more like being welcomed into a club than being sold a service)Last but certainly not least… the first sweet lady that helped me, before Sarah got there. She too was knowledgeable and helpful. Most of all though, I appreciated her kind smile and gentle spirit. She was so calming and easy to be around. I didn’t catch her name, but I will next time as I plan to be a customer for life.

I went there with a Dyson vacuum that was fairly new but the vacuum attachment was a mess. Chris tried to fix it but told me the attachment was not fixable. He asked me how long I had it & pointed out it was still under warranty & I needed to reach out to Dyson. I thanked him & asked how much I owed. He wouldn’t let me pay, as he wasn’t able to fix. I reached out to Dyson & got 250.00 in parts free under warranty very quickly. Chris saved me a lot of $$$! He was very knowledgeable & great to deal with! Everyone in the store was so nice. Please go see them with your sewing & vacuum needs!

Josh sold my daughter her first sewing machine! He was thoughtful and patient. Pam is a wealth of knowledge and very accommodating to my requests. I plan to set up a sewing class with her soon. And they have every KONA solid color in stock! So happy with this store and the customer service!

A really great shop! Barbara Gordon has taught me so much and has a wonderful sense of humor. Her embroidery club class is lots of fun! Also her collage class was amazing. Both Pam and Linda are very helpful and always willing to share tips and information. Charlie is a wonderful teacher and very patient! She has lots of great tips! Enjoyed both her rug class and By Annie class. Amazing shop with great fabric and sales!!

Sarah went above and beyond to help me with a 1994 Singer that was donated for charity sewing. She found the correct bobbin (fixed the tension problem) and ordered some for me. Above and beyond - she sent me home with 2 bobbins so we could use the machine right away. Everyone in the store is friendly and very helpful. They know sewing machines!

Such a nice store. Went in looking for an Embroidery/ sewing machine. Or maybe just an embroidery machine. I was shown several models of a few name brands. I ordered a machine and signed up for a class and sewing club. Yesterday I didn’t have the machine so they let me use the one on display! I left with a beautiful quilted piece!! Not perfect but very pleased for first time. Going back Saturday and will sign up for another project in store.I recommend this store! Worked with 3 employees all so helpful, knowledgeable and kind!! Great displays of fabric, thread and probably any item you could be looking for!

Harry was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and objective in helping my wife and me decide whether we needed a new vacuum cleaner. Once we decided that we wanted to purchase a new Dyson, he shared information and even helped us research the unit online to check out comparative pricing from various places. We realized he was focusing first on helping us and not just trying to make a quick sale, so we knew we wanted to buy from him ... and we did! I highly recommend doing business with these folks! I walked in needing the tension checked on my sewing machine, one that I hadn’t purchased from this store. Sarah and Linda took care of me, fixed the tension on my machine and didn’t charge me anything! I call that “customer service” and we don’t see that too much anymore! Was so impressed with manager, Leslie at Westport Rd location that I felt compelled to write the owner. These days it's not often that one receives polite, knowledgeable service and Leslie provided just that. Called initially looking for replacement parts for my Dyson and later went into the store but ended up buying a reconditioned Dyson more suited to our needs. Even though we took our sweet time trying to decide which route to take (Leslie had already pulled and held parts for us), she waited patiently and offered great insight. I will highly recommend this store/company to anyone who needs service and/or is looking to purchase a vacuum. Thank you, Leslie for all your help to us. I was duly impressed!!!!

Stopped in with two sewing machines for service. Extremely experienced and knowledgeable staff helped me within 15 minutes to decide one could not easily be prepared because part was hard to get now… and the other she sorted out on the spot. She helped me find the bobbins, needles, thread that is right for my project. Prices better than Uncle Jeff’s online too! Cannot recommend highly enough. Ten ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️!

We have purchased 2 vacuums from this location in the past and are pleased with both purchases. Most recently, I was in there to get my vacuum looked as it was having some issues. Great experience! I was prepared to buy a new vacuum, but thought I would bring in my old one just in case it could be fixed. Because of the issue it was having, I didn't think there was much that could be done. Harry fixed it, and it is running like new! I appreciated that he was honest and super friendly! What a great experience! This is now my go to place for all of my vacuum and sewing needs.

Needed a new vacuum when my 30+ year old canister vac bellied up. Based on Google reviews of Vacuum Authority, decided to look there vs purchasing through on-line vendor. Glad I did. Harry, the manager, was phenomenal to work with. He patiently answered all my questions. Asked many questions of his own. Helped me select the perfect canister vac. The entire experience was laid back with no pressure and I never felt rushed to make a quick decision. VA is fortunate to have an employee of Harry's caliber. I bought my first sewing machine here, and the staff was extremely helpful and friendly. They showed me the in's and out's of all the machines that I was interested in and even taught me some stiches. I came with lots of questions and they seemed happy to answer all of them. I also got a free sewing lesson with my new machine, and Linda was incredibly helpful and patient in teaching me how to use all the pieces of my machine and answering all my questions. I am glad I have a place to come back to with any of my sewing needs!

Clinssen helped us choose a Miele vacuum. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful; clearly the vacuum expert at the store. Clinssen demonstrated how the model worked, he set us up with extra bags and filter and even carried it out to our car. I will always return to this store for anything vacuum cleaner related!

I just purchased a Brother Dream Machine. It is a dream to see and embroider with. Josh the general manager gave me VIP treatment and a Beyond fabulous price. Unlimited free lessons from an incredibly knowledgeable teacher. I could not ask for better service. I feel like a part of their store family
