Long time patron first time reviewer. I absolutely love the store and their staff! Everyone is so helpful and incredibly knowledgeable. They fitted me for some hiking boots a couple of years ago and I still have them! my boyfriend bought a really expensive pocket knife from them and every time we go in they sharpen it for him. Highly recommend!

This is one of my favorite stores ! They have a great selection of quality outdoor gear and apparel, but more importantly the staff is very knowledgeable about their products. Something I discovered that is not always true at the big chain stores. Everything in the store is always nicely displayed easy to find and well organized. The staff is very friendly and ready to help. You can tell they love what they do and where they work.

I have been shopping at Quest since I was in High School. It still is one of my absolute favorite stores. We recently went on trips to the Patagonia and Argentina and got most all of my gear and clothing from them. They have a great staff of long time knowledgeable friendly people that almost feel like family to me : )

Love Quest Outdoors and their wide selection of clothing and equipment. We were helped by Cameron while picking out a pair of sandals for an upcoming trip. He was extremely helpful, professional, and told great stories of his own experiences and was very friendly while helping us through the process. Highly recommend this store to anyone who is looking for high quality products! Hopefully the clearance rack makes a come back soon 😁

Worth the drive. Customer service there is awesome. There is stuff there you can't find in other stores like nemo, big Agnes, helinox chairs, and all kinds of brands of backpacks, even smaller brands like toaks. I bought a mystery ranch bridger there but didn't notice before I left it was missing one of its sternum straps so I contacted them and I was able to get it shipped to my house the next day. Highly recommend.

Quest outdoors is a really well laid out upscale outdoor shop. Good selection of really good outdoor brands and all the gear you might need to conquer your next adventure. The fly shop is decently supplied with a good selection of flies and various equipment to boot. Prices are on the high end, which I’ve come to often expect for outdoor shops like this. Overall a great place to shop.

My parents have lived in Louisville for 25 years and when I visit them I have always shopped at Quest spending a good amount of money (as does my dad and my sister)… including a large expensive backpack within the past year… I do not live in Louisville but am here a fair amount visiting my family… for Christmas my sister gifted me a Patagonia mid weight flannel but it did not fit… I was only here while Quest was closed during the holiday and came on Feb 15 to return the shirt. First he tried to tell me it was bought 4 months ago and I had to explain to him Dec 23 was 7 weeks ago. He then said it’s a cold weather item and they aren’t taking returns and also their return policy is 30 days… I guess this is what you get in a midwestern city for an outdoor store. People who don’t understand outdoor people travel, go exploring, live nomadic etc and if you can’t come to the store within 30 days of purchase “Go sell it online” as the guy told me - in my younger more raucous days I would’ve decked him right there with his snarky comment. Also when I bought my backpack they told me to bring my old one if it’s in good shape for the used gear room… so I asked him about it because it was in my car… again a snarky comment “we aren’t doing that right now”… THIS IS NOT AN OUTDOOR STORE! I came to buy/swap for a new stove I need and this is why people go to REI and other large retailers over mom & pop local spots… I always shop local outdoor shops around the country and South America and I’ve never had a return issue or had a little punk be disrespectful like that… Quest has lost my business, my dad’s business, my sister’s business and my nephew’s business… VERY DISAPPOINTING

I got the coolest pair of overalls at Quest to match the homie. The staff was excellent and the vibe inside was really neat. Like REI but better. Real local feel. They’re also locally family owned so I felt great spending my money with them!

What an awesome store. They have everything! I could spend all day here. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Picked up a few Gränsfors Bruk axes and other supplies while I was there. Very happy. I'll be back!

Incredible experience here! Coffee shop in the store with a super friendly barista. Great selection of outdoor stuff. The guys at the register (Mike) were helpful and hospitable. Definitely worth the stop in. Everyone was friendly.

So much fun shopping here. The staff Is helpful and yet knows when to leave you alone to shop. Prices are reasonable, but there are still some items that I think are overpriced. Definitely worth checking into.

Im not from Louisville and this was my first time in this store. I was so disappointed that I got in to late because they were closing early for the holiday. The staff was extremely friendly and they had an amazing product assortment. The prices were also in line with any other outdoors store ive shopped. Thank you quest

This place is simply amazing. I could spend all day wandering and looking at everything. They have everything you need to gear up for different kinds of adventures. I bought a pack there, it squeaked, I brought it back in: boom, they swapped it for a brand new one and said that they would handle the manufacturer return nonsense. They have staff who use the equipment and can answer most questions you might have. My wife and I went in, and after 1 hour with Glen, we knew what packs, boots, sleeping bags, etc that we would need. They helped us pick a stove, a water filter, and other small items. We were never and have never been pressured to buy extras or to buy more expensive alternatives to what we have already picked out. They don't pressure you or hassle you when you come in. They ask if you need help, but will leave you alone if you ask them to. To top it all off, they offer a military/veteran discount. My wife and I always come here as opposed to shopping on Amazon because we want to support this awesome local business. Many times we could have went to Amazon, but Quest Outdoors is a Louisville original that we don't want to see go away.

I’ve not shopped at the physical store, but their website inventory is poorly mananged. I spent $400+ on equipment that was labeled as in stock (1 left). My order was rejected because there was no stock. Checking back the next morning, it now says “in stock (2 left).” Now I must wait for a refund before ordering elsewhere and because the problem still exists, it’s likely to happen to the next person. I certainly wouldn’t recommend this vendor if you’ve got a trip coming up soon and are on a bit of a time crunch, but I’d honestly just avoid the headache altogether next time and order from a better website. Quest will accept payment for items they don’t actually have because their website inventory is handled poorly.

First off I love this store. If you want high quality outdoor gear , then this is the place. What really sets Quest apart from other stores is their employees are knowledgeable in what the are selling.I bought a knife and I was surprised how much the associate Damon knew about knives. Being a knife guy that is really nice for them to understand what you're talking about. I'm so glad I found this place.

Staff was rude and very dismissive. Would not listen to my needs and continually interrupted me. The employees kept passing me off, back and forth, to each other so they could goof off uninterrupted. They did not start helping until what appeared to be the manager stepped onto the floor.Don't shop here unless you know what you want or like poor customer service.
