Ran in here to grab something because I was close by and they had what I needed. I don't regularly shop here, nothing against petco, its just not convenient. I got what I needed and went to check out. The lady with her hair in a ponytail and glasses asked if I was a rewards member, and in told her no. She wanted to sign me up and I tried to politely tell her no thank you. However, she seemed to get aggravated by this. Telling me it was free, no cost, and nothing to buy. She then proceeded to ask why not with an attitude. This woman was making such a scene about it the people checking out beside me were looking over at us. She rang me up then when it asked if I wanted to donate to animal shelter, before I could say no I just adopted my dog and donated there, the cashier or manager said click no cause you're not going to, referring to me donating. After I paid she gave me my items and told me to put it in the bag I had from the store next door. No receipt no thank you, good bye, kiss my a.. nothing. I gave it 2 stars because the store is decent. I'll never go back here. An absolute rude woman for no reason other than I didn't want to sign up for a rewards program. Amazing

29 gallon Aqueon gallon tank I purchased tonight has a large crack and hole in the bottom corner. When it was on display, it was holding a 10 gallon tank inside, so couldn't see the bottom. As I also purchased two ten gallon Aqueon tanks in the same purchase, the staff just kept the 10 gallon inside and we never looked at the bottom. The man who checked my purchase was very helpful and helped me load the tanks into my car. I had no issues on way home, and two people carefully brought into house. That's when we saw the large crack and hole in the bottom corner. The tank says it has a 5 year warranty and to return to dealer if a problem. I called immediately, within 30 minutes of purchase and was told by a woman at the store that they have a strict policy to not take any tank returns and that it was my responsibility to inspect the tank thoroughly prior to purchase, and that there was no warranty. This is in contrast to the policy on returns that is listed on their website and the warranty sticker on the tank. This is very frustrating, I was so excited about finding this new pet store in my area.

Jade was fantastic with my dog, Delta, who was very nervous. We will be coming back to Jade for more appointments! She was super sweet and professional. Definitely the type of person who makes this Petco worth coming to! This was Deltas first time at a groomer like this and we were anxious as well, Jade called us to update how it was going. Could not be more happy with the care we received for our fur baby!! Thank you soooo much!

I dont know what it is about this store but my dog senses something menacing. He is so afraid and it doesn't matter what time of day we come. Perhaps it is the wretched cats they let in the store. I'd ban them on behalf of my dog if I could. OK food and treat selection.

Rachel is hands down the best!!! She was able to help up so much, where petsmart had half the knowledge between several people. We have affectionetly named one of thie fish Nemo, and he is doing wonderful. We will be back to see our favorite fish and reptile expert in the near future for sure!!! Thank you again, for saving our new family members!

The only reason i gave 4 stars is because of price. I totally understand that everything's going up these days but guys, I'm poor and i just can't spend more than i have. I adore my kids (kitties) and they can have anything they want (which really ends up being a cardboard box) but I'm definitely on a budget in there. The people are very helpful, which you know I appreciate. One more thing in the pet dept., THEY HAVE EVERYTHING you could want for your pet. And I mean..EV-ERY-THING! I love them.

Shannon at the Townfair store was most helpful with suggestions and recommendations for our things we should have for our new puppy. She was knowledgeable with all the different brands of dog foods and we purchased exactly the right products. She is far and away the most helpful and knowledgeable associate of any pet store we’ve shopped. Thank you Shannon.

I really like that they always have what I need but there's never anyone up front at the cash register. I'll be standing there for like 5 minutes before any gets there. It's happened every single occasion except once

I don't appreciate my small family being profiled and followed through the store by Noah and the other associate. The refill for cat litter has gone up to $12.99, with a new bucket being $14.99. Not worth the drive.

If I could give this place a zero I would. I got my son a Bearded Dragon. Had it for only 31 days and he passed away. Call petco before he died and told them something was wrong with him. I got told taken to the vet they can't do anything. So we got in Contact with a vet and they told us most like he had a illness before we got him that it happen more then we know. Later on he passed away bc the vet couldn't help him. So we call petco back and was told now that it isn't their problem it's ours bc it was over the 30 day mark. Like what. One day over. My son is heart breaken. They dont care what so ever. It's sad. Please don't go here bc they just don't care!

Did you know you can return your UPS product here? Drop it off, and they will take care of it. It's painless; just go online and select it as the return location. Sent th QR code to your phone, Show it to them, and they take care of it, no box, nothing. Great job!

We brought our dog in and had a horrible experience. The grooming was fine, great. But the way we were treated wasn’t acceptable. Melissa or Melinda is terrible when it comes to customer service. It was clear she didn’t want to do the grooming, looking for anyway to turn us away. Making a huge ordeal of not having vaccine records though we did, for good measure we pulled up the same records on our phone and she said okay that works. It was the same record, insanity. Then she was critical of the last time we brought our dog in for grooming as if it matters. She spent the entire time making us feel small because she apparently is omnipotent when it comes to animals. We take great care of our dog and love her. To go to a place where we are made to feel small simply to not work is a joke. She did great with the actual grooming and we are grateful but we will never ever bring our animals in for help. I would invite everyone to go somewhere local. You won’t get the service you deserve.

Petco has the cutest pet clothes. More importantly, if you want a plastic bag to carry purchase the proceeds, go to Petco Love! I will always take plastic and recycle at home.

My girlfriend, who's been dealing with a horrible family emergency for over a week now, was waiting outside the store for a long time in the morning because the doors were locked. When she was finally let in, the staff blamed her for being so late to her grooming appointment. On top of that, they were extremely rude about not grooming the dog off an appointment that had been scheduled for over a month, stating he was matted. It was made very clear from the jump that this woman had absolutely no interest in actually grooming the dog and instead of offering solutions, the employee was very cold and rude. Now the dog can't get booked anywhere in town for several months when he is desperately needing grooming. Keep in mind that all this is happening while we are in complete distress about a family emergency happening at the same time. Do NOT give your business to this soulless corporation. They do not care about customers or their pets here.

My pup & I enjoyed our visit to petco. Normally we'd shop at PetSmart but since we were in the area we just wanted to go in to see. First things first the staff was very friendly & I don't know if it was just me but the store did not smell like a pet store at all which I appreciated alot. The downside though are the prices of the products which are alot higher than what PetSmart would list them as if I were being honest. For real though I found a doggie sweater I bought at Petco that was on sale for 50% less at PetSmart. But what really brought my rating down is that there were certain products I couldn't find at Petco like my dog's food Biljac. I'd just think for a pricy pet store they should really expand their inventory to match their competitors.

This Petco had the most knowledgeable employees I've ever ran into at a pet store! About all different types of pets. And even if one doesn't have an answer, they work as a great team to find you what you need and give advice. I will go out of my way to go here if one of my pets need anything out of the ordinary food and daily supplies.

I hate that this is the only petco near by. I refrain from coming here in person and tend to online shop but sometimes i like to go with my dog and just see what’s new especially since she can go in the store. I spend hundreds of dollars if not more with this company MONTHLY but after today i will take my business elsewhere.I thank you Christian for being super sweet and helpful and if you come across this , and i hope you find an employer that appreciates you as much i do. The one star goes to you. Thank you !Brenan, Brendan - I always have an issue when handling my business with you. . You’re always so rude and LOUD. I’m not a confrontational Individual and when i see people who sparks that confrontation i leave because there’s no money in the world that’ll have me and sit and ARGUE with an employee when all i had was a QUESTION that YOU clearly couldn’t answer. I pray you find peace within yourself. Definitely have the day you deserve and i promise you will never see me in this petco again.Petco - thank you for being loyal to me and my pup for the last 3 years but my monthly subscription will be disabled after i submit this review since this is the only petco near me and i will NEVER Be back i have absolutely no use for it. I stopped taking my dog to the groomers here due to the rudeness and lack of communication and now as of today i have stopped shopping here due to the same reason. As a loyal customer i expect the bare minimum which is respect and that’s something this store seriously lacks & my peace and money will definitely be an Appreciated elsewhere.

My 11yr old daughter excitedly picked out two fish for her new aquarium. Twenty questions from the worker to buy the fish. The worker repeated 5 times, I need to upgrade my aquarium in the next few years to fit the fish (OK no problem). The worker then brought in other employees to echo and still weren’t allowing us to get the fish. I asked if they preferred not to sell it to me (mind you a goldfish for my child) and if we should go somewhere else to buy it and the employee said we should shop somewhere else. Meanwhile, they had 4-5 tanks with dead fish sucked into the filter. Not returning here again.
