Visited here for the first time yesterday. I’ve been to other cat cafes, and this is by far the best I’ve been to! It’s the ONLY nonprofit cat cafe in the area (the closest is Nashville, TN), and it has such a homey vibe. It’s a very inclusive environment and is perfect for anyone with special needs as the staff do an excellent job keeping everyone spread out with a relatively quiet environment.Admission is only $15 & includes a specialty coffee or beverage with an organic snack! (There are vegan snack options—I highly recommend the raspberry fig bar!) Plenty of toys are available for playing with the cats. ✨ To top things off, they have a board with a back story for each cat that allows you to get to know them personally!The volunteers are as sweet as can be, and there is such a great gift shop (not to mention it is so inexpensive!!).I would absolutely visit again. Other cat cafes in the area are great, but they’re more expensive & tend to be overstimulating for me (loud, lots of people crowded together, etc). Louisville is “lucky” to have the Lucky Cat Cafe & Lounge.TLDR; cheap admission, great beverage & snack options, inclusive special needs-friendly environment, cat toys for playing with the cats, homey vibes, cheap gift shop, in the heart of a shopping centre

Had a great experience hanging out with all of the cats with my wife and 2 teen boys. For my oldest 16th birthday! There was no pressure to adopt. The facility was clean and cute. The employees seemed caring and dedicated. Thanks for helping the cats 😺

Even while hosting a classroom of children, the atmosphere was very calm. The cats were so welcoming, able to play in their own spaces, And friendly as cats are. The workers were very knowledgeable about each cat and their characters. I enjoyed being able to be in a peaceful surrounding. I love their little items that you could purchase! Cat hair clips catnip for my cat and coffee of course. I highly recommend you coming.

Great non profit that helps to socialize cats who have been rescued. I was impressed by how much space they had for the cats and all the toys they had for them. The volunteers were really knowledgeable about the cats as well and seemed to really love them. Lots of cute kitties there!

I have adopted three cats from Lucky Cat Cafe and highly recommend it to anyone who's looking for a pet. The cats are free roaming so you see their true personalities. The volunteers are helpful and it's a charming and fun place to hang out.

I found out last year that I have a terminal lung disease. Totally blindsided me but given the grim prognosis I set about trying to find a place for my 7 rescue kitties. They’re all but one 8-9 years old. Tough to place, but I was determined to give it my best effort. I reached out to every organization I could find. After a few weeks of waiting and a couple of half hearted responses from a few, I got a call from Vanessa, who heads the Shamrock organization. We talked for almost an hour, and she gave me some hope. The following Thursday I woke up very ill. I arrived at the hospital in acute respiratory arrest. Once I was stabilized I texted Vanessa to let her know I might be out of time. Thankfully the doctors were able to pull me back. On Saturday Vanessa came to see me in the hospital, again spending over an hour. She brought me snacks too! I am so grateful for Vanessa and the entire Lucky Cat family. The following week we got 3 of my kitties vetted, chipped and all their shots. Today the first of them went to their new fur-ever home. These folks really care about the kitties, and their owner’s circumstances. No words can describe how thankful I am for their efforts during a most difficult time. If you can and care, send them some money! As much as you can afford. Skip that Starbucks and pay it forward. Please, for the kitties.

Great experience! Way cheaper than other cat cafes around and there wasn't a wait list. Just came right in and started petting some adorable cats. Shout out to noodle and her pasta themed kittens. They were adorable!

We loved our visit to Lucky Cat Cafe. The $7 Sundays got our attention since we have a family of 8. The kids really enjoyed the cats and the dangly toys to play with them. They have a cute gift shop too. We have a frequent visitor card already full. We are all anxious to go back!

This is a great cat café, you can tell that every worker/volunteer really cares for the animals and they have a good safe place to stay until they have a home. The decor is adorable, and there are tons of cat towers, toys, hiding areas, hidden litter boxes, and more for the cats so that they are never uncomfortable. When my wife and I visited our favorite cat was named "Spring", she was so cute and very good about being held. We already have two cats, but when our friends start looking to adopt we will definitely send them here! Also, the shop was very cute and affordable, we got a nice cat trash bin for only $6! And an entire hour at the café was not expensive at all!

I have been to seven cat cafes in the U.S. Lucky Cat Cafe is tied for the top with one other as being the best! Their location is good, and the way they have set up the area for visiting with cats is wonderful. The cats are comfortable in the rooms of this home, and feel confident to come and play and be petted. All the rooms are clean and have a variety of seating for people. Lucky Cat keeps the number of visitors to a level where you do not feel crowded, and the cats are not overwhelmed. I had one of their bakery treats while I was there, and it was really good. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and unobtrusive. I loved my visit so much that I came back that day with my husband, who thoroughly enjoyed his time with the cats as well. I will make it a point to visit Lucky Cat anytime I'm in the Louisville area.

The people and cats are so sweet. Plenty of toys, food, hiding places, cat TV, and more for the cats' comfort. We had a wonderful time; will definitely be coming again soon. It feels great to support older and special needs rescue kitties while getting some purr therapy.

My experience here was absolutely lovely. I could have sat there all day watching the cats play. So relaxing petting the cats. Beautiful 100 year old home with wonderful architecture. Best part is you can adopt one of the kitties and take them home if you want. The staff was very pleasant.

This place is amazing. The cats are very well cared for. Everything is neat and clean.. The volunteers are so nice. We were in town visiting so we weren't looking for a kitty but we had a wonderful time playing with the st kitties.

My husband and I had a wonderful time here! The women who take care of these cats and kittens are wonderful and so nice!! The cats have so many sleeping and relaxing spots and all the toys possible. We are adopting little brothers from here and they seem like the sweetest boys. Very grateful for the people who work here and take care of these sweet animals!!

My girlfriend and I come here every single Friday. The staff is so friendly at this point they are like family to us. The cats are all so lovable and so spoiled. You can tell they love being there. They're so well taken care of. I truly admire this organization and everything they do for those kitties. What I admire the most is that they are a non profit organization and that everybody there is a volunteer. They're doing this out of the kindness of their hearts. I'm so happy that I found such an amazing and cozy place where we can just go and let all the stress disappear while we pet some beautiful kitties and enjoy the company of the amazing staff.

Fantastic place! The babies are so cute! You can tell the cats are happy. The owners are very knowledgeable and helpful. Our hour passed by so quickly I could spend hours there. They have beverages & snacks you can purchase.

After visiting this cat cafe I can say I prefer this one. Cats are 6 months or older. Adult cats are more relaxing there are 3 rooms you can occupy many have a some seating like a couch or chair. Some of the cats will play and others will sleep. I will be sure to visit again even if I can't adopt any of these sweethearts.

My daughter and I loved our experience here. So much better than a typical shelter atmosphere. The staff are super friendly. Plus the facility was kept clean. They have all the toys and brushes you'll need. Snacks and beverages available for purchase. Definitely will be back
