It's not yet lunchtime but what's for lunch? I stopped into Kroger and at the deli, got some cheese sliced as well as Boar's Head turkey. Down in the bakery, some fresh bread. Yes, this will do very nicely. The store is tidy and well organized as is typical for the Kroger brand. Perhaps a little more expensive than some but it's a pleasant shopping experience.Self-checkout went smoothly and I was on my way. I found it clean, bright and everything in stock with clearly marked prices.

I usually don't review a place twice but the suits at corporate are probably shaking in their Italian leather dress shoes, and I believe in second chances! The good news is that the produce section no longer smells like diarrhea. The bad news is that now the men's restroom smells like cabbage.

Please be careful if you eat from the Murray's Cheese Shop at the Goss Ave Kroger. I'm an instacart shopper and, without trying, I have noticed on multiple occasions a particular worker coughing all over everything and wiping his nose with his hand and going right back to food prep. I have complained multiple times but the manager of Murray's, which is apparently not actual Kroger people, has not been receptive to my feedback.Today i just happened to be right next to the same worker mentioned above when he dropped some of the food trays he was about to use on the floor. He then picked them up and put them back on the stack such that the tray that touched the floor was tucked into the top tray on the stack. I said you know you can't use that now, right? I once again spoke to the manager and he told me I was a busy body. I'm calling Murray's on Monday...

Very busy arrived near closing. Like a black friday it was so packed. Some fruit flies in the apples, Apologies for not getting more photos, overall all its a great store especially considering it seem like it stays very busy. So it explains why it's a little cluttered, some shelves disheveled but not dirty. The restrooms were satisfactory.

Does this area not require masks? 95% of vendors, customers, and employees didn't have a mask on. It appears they're under a lot of construction and maybe that's why the feel there gives off a warehouse vibe.Highlights: big (really warehouse big feel), potential to have a huge variety, I liked their flowers :)Lowlights: almost no one had masks on. Like close to nobody. Friendly energy is kinda absent today.

Often when I purchase staple items and revisit the grocery for the same things, they're not available, such as frozen spinach or a particular jowl bacon. It's as if they know when I have funds to shop. Well, I chop it up as a lot of demand and not enough supply.

Germantown Kroger has become increasingly busy the last few months. It has become a game of patience to navigate aisles admist other shoppers. The worst navigational issue occurs in the space between the checkout lanes and shopping aisles. All 10 self checkout lanes are occupied and the queues for them overflow down aisles; others remain in the space where shoppers are trying to get to an aisle. It's a wonder frustration has not boiled over into arguments or worse while patrons negotiate who is next in line. Only one staffed checkout was open last visit, also with a serpentine queue. After shopping is done, be prepared to spend another half hour checking out.Hoping this Kroger will not evolve into the Walmart model of 20 empty (staffed) checkout lanes and limited self checkout with formidable lines. One reason I avoid shopping at Walmart. Hoping I don't have to avoid the Germantown Kroger for the same reason.

My jaw dropped when I saw the size of "Large" eggs. Now that I can afford them a little easier I was stunned to see how small they were when I cracked them into a bowl! Two were barely a quarter size. And inconsistent yolk size

Shelves were stocked, most of the employees are very kind and helpful, there is one or two that for whatever reason, the two employees on the second shift has a hard time learning how to be kind to others. But other then that this is my go to place for my groceries.

I worked, here, in 1993. It was a different size; much smaller, then. I'm able to get what I need. I worked in a different Kroger, 2019. My knees punished me, for that.

Do to the economy I have two jobs and I now work 7 days a week. On Fridays I have a bit more time off to run errands and get some groceries etc… This week I could not make it to Kroger before a sell on my favorite food went off. So I called for a rain check so I could get it that Friday after the sell to get it. Kroger declined the rain check because the item was on sale. In the past Kroger was nice enough to help customer in these situations. Now they don’t care about customers. You can tell by the over priced products they are selling. I see cheaper products same brand at other stores. Cause of this I am no longer interested in going to Kroger. If they care so little to help a customer in need of assistance in a matter like mine. Then I know my little business expenses in there store won’t be missed. Since they don’t care about helping a customer in my predicament out. Then they won’t miss my money either.

Edit: I have since came back into the store and the same older lady with a buzz cut is so very rude.I came in to purchase bottled water for my office this morning .I went to the lane where you can check yourself out .I started scanning my items and realized I had the wrong size waters .I waited but there was nobody there to help so I left the screen and switched my waters out .When I came back the older short lady had a attitude telling me I left the register and now she has extra work to do .I told her I waited patiently and nobody was around to take the charges off that screen . Another younger lady was rude about it as well. They acted as if I committed some cardinal sin .I won’t be back to this store .I prefer to spend my money at places where they don’t treat there customers like garbage.Pls get your employees some training on how to deal with the public !

My pickup up orders have been great so far, the employee Eric even went so far as to drive the car litter they forgot to place in my car to my home! So the staff is great but the app is annoying and is not completely convenient, for example half the time the unavailable items for your order notification comes when I've already arrived at the store, which is such a pain because only then at the last minute do I know what I'm actually going to receive for my order. This needs to be improved ASAP!

The self checkout now screams at you when checking out. It was horrible. I will probably avoid this store in particular.

No one ever answers the phone in customer service. Customer service is also almost always closed, no one working the counter. You can call and let the phone ring for literally five minutes and no one will answer. It's just ridiculous. It's also usually poorly stocked anymore. There's also usually bad produce out in the produce department. I can't remember the last time they had any good red onions available. They are usually already on their way to being spoiled. Maybe if they actually paid a living wage they could keep enough employees to keep the place properly stocked and the phones answered.

I have literally heard a manager tell a deli worker to clock out and continue working. I cannot willingly spend my money on a place that treats their low paid workers with such disrespect and disdain.I don’t know if that manager is still around, but as a person who lives to paycheck to paycheck, I find it abhorrent both legally and morally. When you don’t make much, 1 hour on the clock is in itself a meal. This corporation is asking for charity from the workers it employs on wages that are not easy to live on.I’d keep going in support of the workers, but the place is overcrowded enough, business is obviously fine, making it even more infuriating.

There’s always many people at this Kroger trying to sell you stuff while you’re trying to grocery shop. It makes it very unpleasant.

My Germantown Kroger is going down hill fast. Fruit flies on produce, hunting for carts, occasional rude employees, poorly stocked shelves, limited time to access the service desk, manager not available, freezers and refrigerators in need of repair, rancid fresh poultry…need I say more. Present management is not up to par. Germantown Kroger was our neighborhood jewel. It was clean, organized, well stocked and only the freshest foods were on the shelves. Bring back my Kroger.

In the top 3 worst Kroger locations in Louisville. When you start to put the hand held baskets back at the main entrance with all the other carts, I will update to a 2 star review. I feel like I’m shopping at Aldi when I have to pull a box from produce just to be able to put my groceries in and carry throughout the store. This location also allows employees to get in the face of customers and berate them before closing. You’re open until 10pm, don’t close the doors early, you all know better.Asked for a pound of meat from the deli. It had an on sale price sticker of $9.99 a lbs. Guy behind the counter got it cut and handed over package with an over $14 sticker price. I asked why the price difference and his response was “I can just throw it away if you don’t want it.” I wanted an answer why there was a price difference, not his attitude. This location needs an entire overhaul! It’s gotten so bad that it’s now worth me driving further to other Kroger locations to get better products and service. When did this Kroger location turn into a Dollar General? Boxes all over the floor in every aisle making it single file for customers. Can’t even get 2 baskets down the aisles. The staff is so rude here! I was in self checkout needing approval for some coupons. The attendant snapped at me and told me I didn’t need to time her. I was actually pausing my music on my watch thank you very much, and she was quick to change her tone when I showed her what I was doing on my watch.

Might be the busiest Kroger in the city, but that is not a tribute to the operation. It is just the nature of the location.Despite the day or the time I swing through, 9 times out of 10 the place is ransacked. No carts, no baskets, empty shelves in the produce section all of the time. The staff does their best to keep up, but this is not their fault. It is grossly mismanaged and out dated for the amount of traffic it handles daily.Kroger corporate needs to expand and remodel this location and give the employees here the tools they need to handle the demand.

Love this store! Although it is huge and is an all day event to visit, you can find anything here! I love the clothing section and the new self checkout areas are very nice!

Horrific - Sullen and unhelpful employees. The auto checkout machines were malfunctioning for everyone and the staff was very slow to address the problem. We won’t go back.

I have waited for an hour and a half for $35 worth of groceries at this location. I have had to make multiple trips and been charged for items I did not receive. But today takes the cake. Today was the worst experience I have ever had with a store. The amount of failure was truly staggering.I placed a pick-up order and went to pick it up. I ordered from this location because they owed me for items they charged me for but didn't give me on a previous order. While waiting for my order to be brought out, I got a text and email that my pick-up had been completed. However, I still did not have my order. I called the store and was told someone else picked it up for me. In truth, Kroger had just given my order to someone else and charged me for it.They said they would have to pick my order again and it would take 25-30 minutes. Then, I hear an employee say that the person who picked up my order said my name. No one in the world knew I had placed an order, so no one could have given my name other than me. The lying sent me over the top, so I had to go home.I called the manager who apologized and said I would receive $50 off my order. An employee called to say my order was ready and I needed to bring my card to receive the refund. When I got back the second time, I was told that they couldn't do a refund to my card and instead, I was given a $50 gift card. I was too tired and defeated to object, but I had wanted my money back and not a gift card.I got home with the second order, and 8 items that I had originally been charged for were missing. They acted like they did me a favor, and I still don't have all the stuff I ordered.

Do not go here for pickup unless you do it on a weekday morning. We placed a small order for pick up last night (thursday) and picked the time slot 6 - 6:30. We arrived at 6 and noticed a lot of people waiting, so many that we couldn't get a pick up spot. people for the past 2 time slots were waiting still. we decided to wait, thinking this was just a small mess up. we were wrong. after waiting over an hour, I went inside to see if they had even shopped our order since others that arrived later had gotten theirs. I was told by a very nice woman at customer service that they hadn't even shopped our order, and it would be another hour. She refunded us and we went home without our groceries. This complaint is not about her or the young lady who was working very hard to get the orders to the cars. they were awesome. Something is wrong with the whole pickup department, and the managers and higher ups are to blame. We will not be going to that Kroger again.
