Bought some food that is expired by 9 months. Realized this and thought that I would pop down to a different Kroger that is only a few blocks from my house. Well..... you can't return to another Kroger even if you have the receipt. Called corporate and they said that is their policy. I guess that it's worth driving a little bit to shop at Wal-Mart since they are WAAAAYYY cheaper than Kroger. Oh... hey Kroger. Just a suggestion. Hire some employees that can run a checkout line.

I only shop there because it's 5 blocks from my residence. It's notorious for only having 1 check out lane but never in the AM. At least 50-60% of the isles are ALWAYS cluttered with stock(why not restock shelves during closed hours),you have to be aware of out of date produce. Sadly the infamous label of the "Dirty Kroger" continues & well deserved. Recently I've been using the St. Matthews Walmart Grocery for my "expanded" shopping & strictly using this Kroger for quick "grab & go" items. I wouldn't be shocked if this Kroger is closed down within the next 2-3 years(& again....well deserved).

Well, I entered feeling great and left feeling good and frustrated. Have the Kroger card and was shopping on a budget to get the cheaper options. What they don't tell you is the price advertised is not the price they charge. Great bait and switch. You not only need the card but you also need to stare are your phone to download and app, find the thing you want, and then have it freeze on you trying to pull up the coupon. Doesn't work? Oh well. Pay the full price then. Image is of the peppers I attempted to get. Bet you can easily tell they are $1.50 right? Yeah... Me either. Go to Walmart. Pay the price they tell you it is, and spend less time staring at your phone in the middle of the aisle. Would not recommend. Would not do again.

Had to use the rest room while at the store. The men's room was gross. Trash scattered everywhere. Seats were filthy.Unflushed toilets. Stalls out of paper. They need to periodically check the rest rooms and clean and service them. If I go there again and the restrooms haven't changed I will complain to the Health Department .

This is the worst Kroger I've ever been to In the City of Louisville it used to be known as the dirty Kroger and I think that name still applies first of all, they have jacked their prices up on everything to insane amounts where buying a bag of chips and a thing of dip is a $15 endeavor. The employees are very unhelpful to the point of being rude and outright mean. They rarely have anything in stock and this place just continues to become worse and worse

Sunday night at 7:15 and they have one poor lady as the only checkout open with a line of about 30 people. The self checkout isles were already closed.Hopefully management has to restock all the carts shoppers rightfully abandoned.

I am literally in the Brownsboro road Kroger parking lot at 11:35pm AND THEY ARE CLOSED. The hours online say MIDNIGHT!!! I NEED AN INHALER TO BREATH!!!! Why are they closed at 11:30pm?Ok so I walked up to the door to take a picture of their hours and apparently they have new hours but they aren't updated online

Extremely understaffed. If they had enough to oversee the self checkout it would do wanders, but can’t even clear that low bar. 30 minute check out times are common

Good selection, attentive service. Unfortunately the room lighting makes the place look dirty.

Convenient location, close to my Airbnb. Produce looked good, and prices seemed reasonable.

As a truck driver trying to deliver here it sucks, something needs to be done about the employees not answering the phone and being rude to the driver.

I have been coming to this Kroger for awhile & it’s usually nice lately it’s been downhill. FROM THE CREEPY MEN IN THE LOBBY ASKING YOUNG WOMEN FOR RIDES CREEPILY it’s getting gross in here! I don’t know if this place has management but it is LACKING.

Love this Kroger! The staff are helpful and nice.on TG Wed. when things were very busy in the store ?Earl? went and found PAM for me! It would have been easy for him to simply say we are 'out'....but he didn't! It obviously doesn't take much to make me happy.Sherry is always a great cashier. Efficient and pleasant....a great combination!

I rarely (this may be my first on Google actually) write reviews. But I feel compelled to do so today. I have lived by this Kroger for the better part of the last two years. At any point over the first 16-20 months of those two years I would have rated this Kroger a 3 star. It was almost guaranteed to be missing an item or two from your list, the produce was hit or (mostly) miss. But you could get most of your shopping done and be vaguely satisfied. Over the past 4-8 months however this Kroger has been CRIMINALLY UNDERSTAFFED. You cannot go there during a normal time of day and expect more than 2 lines open at a time. It is “Walmart at 3am” level staffing for a Kroger that you should be able to go to at 6pm on a Thursday to pick up $20 worth of items. But that small trip will take you over half and hour with a majority of the time spent sitting in line. This has really gotten out of hand and I have opted to drive far out of my way many times in order to avoid this location. If you want to know how to get more workers start by paying your workers more!! The ones you currently have are not paid enough to deal with the onslaught of customers and you aren’t getting any new ones to help for this reason. Would be giving 0/5 if I could.

Thanks for getting back! The fact I had to call them as they are desperate for people but collecting a data inquiry on possible employees even payment or are required to you'll never get get full time employment and Aldi's is paying 3-4$ more an hour

The stock has gotten better recently, which is good news for me as an instacart shopper. I used to avoid this store, but lately haven’t had to.Today though, they were very rude to me. I went to self checkout because I have had issues at ALL Krogers when I go through checkout lanes with triple orders from instacart. I inevitably have to rebag items and double check that the orders have NOT gotten mixed up in the checkout process once I am loading my car. I prefer to do each order how I have them organized so I can make 100% sure that I am getting everything separately for each customer. They approached me when I entered the self-checkout today and said that it was a 20 item limit. I saw the sign that said this, but explained that each separate order was under 20 each and that I was quick and preferred to bag myself for the reason I mentioned above. She then called management over where I explained the same thing.I feel like I should also mentioned that this is mid-afternoon on a weekday. The store is not terribly busy and I never held up a line of any sorts. Had there been a ton of people waiting, I would’ve taken my chances elsewhere checking out, but there were not.Frustrating that they felt the need to say anything at all. I used to work at Kroger and did so for a couple years in St. Matthews. I understand the reasoning, but when each order is under 20 items and the items HAVE to stay separated, it makes more sense for me to do it in a way that I know I will not mess anything up.

I used to shop here all the time, and to be honest the store itself is good—if occasionally short on the odd item. The reason for this review is the store’s inaction when it comes to purse-snatching that occurs frequently (twice in the last week) at their gas station. There’s much more they could do to prevent the east entry and getaway that the perpetrators make use of. They should also be posting some sort of warnings and—at the very least—checking in with the victims and helping in any way they can. Following up with the police and keeping pressure on them to solve these crimes—and keeping victims informed of these steps—is the minimum they could do to show some corporate responsibility.Purse-snatching is also happening at the St Matthews Kroger. Hopefully that hasn’t been met with the same level of inaction.

This Kroger is tiny and really only has the bare necessities. Avoid, unless you just need something quick. This store also kind of has a "smell" to it and the pharmacy in it barely exists. We shop here sometimes for quick trips but, they didnt even have nail clippers or mascara the last time we were there. If they cleaned it up and added a second level it would be great!

Produce selection is excellent. Meat and cheese selection is also excellent. Kroger brand foods are priced competitively and the quality is very good, lots of flavor. This store is clean and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The only word of caution ⚠️ concerns the parking lot. Be careful when driving in the PL. The last time I visited, all kinds of folks were meandering through the main lot and adjoining lots and paying zero attention to their surroundings. People were backing out without looking and many were driving way too fast. As is all too common in the Modern Age, Americans pay scant attention to driving and parking correctly in parking lots. You have been warned!

Once again, this Kroger provides a manager that fails at everything that they do. Customer service at this location is horrible. The manager is horrible. The manager is so incredibly unprofessional that they won’t even come and talk to a customer they want to relay through the customer service desk. I cannot wait for Publix to get here, bye-bye Kroger!

If it wasn't the only grocery store on this side of town, it should be closed. Customer service is just an empty counter on a 24/7 bases. You call ahead to check hours and they lie to you so when you get there they get to say "oh sorry, we're closed". Iv needed to cash a pay check for two days but everytime I go there they wana be lazy and stand next to a podium and give me the same bull.

One of the nicest Krogers in town. The food layout is slightly different than what I'm used to but things aren't difficult to find.

Often doesn't have items available at other Kroger markets, variety limited to space they say. Purnell's chorizo hasn't been there for a very long time yet other stores have it. Request ed items rarely appear. The new digital coupon pricing is frustrating and a hassle. Buyer beware! Kroger butter is a current example: 4.49 or special of 2pk for 7.99 until I noticed down and across the aisle the same butter was 3.99 with digital coupon. I want the Kroger app to give all product store locations with price per location. But I'm not holding my breath. And like fuel, I suspect item prices vary in different store locations except weekly specials.

This store is dirty, chronically understocked, priced too high and the employee turnover is such that the young lady at the check out didn't know how to process checks or enter coupons. Also, what is up with the continual rotting food stench? I'm so disgusted that, while I will NEVER return to this particular store, I'm on the edge of never going back to Kroger anytime or anywhere.

The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the cashier's are good every thing else about this store is ridiculous. It's over priced understock understaffed and the customer service desk is never open.

I used to love this smaller kroger. I could get in and out quickly and while they don't have the widest assortment of products they still have everything I need.Ever since covid this location has gone down hill. It's dirty, the carts need serious repairs or just replaced. I get the fact that things are out of stock, that's not necessarily their fault and I'm not even upset about that. They never have the customer service desk open which is important to me. There's always people working but this desk hasn't been open since covid. Now I have to go to the kroger much further down brownsboro for my needs. First world problems I know but this is my neighborhood grocery and it sucks to have to drive so far to go to another one and realize that the other location is fully functional, clean and stocked. Why can't our neighborhood have nice things? Kroger should be managing this and moving employees around instead of forcing customers to visit different locations.
