The building is insecure. All you have to do is pull up on the kennel run doors and they will open. They are large enough for large dogs and normal humans to fit through. Anyone could get in the building at any time. There are also rats abundant.

Not the easiest review to write as I never want to say anything negative about the local humane society, but...We boarded our dogs here for a week while we were out of town. We have 3 dogs, 2 medium sized and a small chihuahua mix and an older cat. The chihuahua is aggressive so they let me go back with him when I dropped them off. I was really happy to see how clean the facilities were and felt reassured they would be well taken care of.When we picked them up it was a very different story. The kennels were dirty and the entire back area smelled like urine. When we got the dogs out, they were all slightly wet and smelled really bad and my little one looked really thin. When we got them home we couldn't let them inside until they all had a bath.Before we left, we portioned all of their food out for the week to be exactly what they needed. We got roughly two full days worth of food back for each dog which made me think they may have missed a few feedings...I honestly was going to let it all go until last night when one of my dog started coughing before bed. She woke up this morning with a really dry cough. Even with having her Bordetella vaccination a few months prior, she contracted Kennel Cough on her stay. And we incurred a $100 vet bill today for antibiotics and cough medicine.This was our first time using their boarding facility and unfortunately our last.

My dog gets excited when I drop her off there and is happy when I pick her up, She gets in the car, falls a sleep. When we get home she likes to play in the yard for a few minutes. Then she sleeps most all night.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this place and these people! We have a very large (170lbs) pooch, and she is very nervous/scared and not easy to handle. Every time we have boarded her somewhere else, she comes back sickly looking and it takes her a few days for her to readjust. We boarded her here, and she came back happier than ever! The team here truly cares, and goes above and beyond every step of the way. Even with a more difficult pooch that is very large, they took the greatest care of her! We love you guys!!!

Our two older dogs stayed here over the weekend while we went to a music festival. This was the first time they have ever been boarded, so we were a little nervous to say the least. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Our dogs have a special diet. The staff took care of that no issues what so ever. Thanks for taking care of our girls and making their first boarding a good experience.

Our pug Rosie seemed to have a good time. The staff was friendly when we called in to check on her. Didn't really care for her being closed up in a little garage like building upon pick-up. How do you know as a pet parent that your animal spent any time outside? 🤷

I have a 4 month old Lab puppy that needed to be boarded for 4 days. I checked into several facilities and chose Fern Creek pet resort for our pup. What a great decision!! The staff were very friendly, knowledgeable and caring. I was so nervous leaving our little boy for the first time and they made the hand-off pleasant and seamless! Today I brought our pup in for a day of Romp and a Roll and he was so excited to see the staff again. This is all telling to me! He had no fear about returning and they were as excited to see him! Both of my dogs go here for both doggy day care and grooming. They always come home tired pups and sleep through the night. The staff are always friendly and know our two instantly when we walk in the door. If we ever need to board them well definitely bring them here.

This place used to be a dump, but boarded there out of desperation over Thanksgiving and they have totally remodeled it. It's really nice, the boarding areas are brand new, bright and colorful with large outdoor runs. The staff was really nice and were accommodating to all of my requests. My dog (who I am very protective over) came home, happy, clean and healthy. I will absolutely come back! I thought folks should know that the place looks and is GREAT!

The Humane Society helps so many furbabies. People overlook adopting beautiful, loving doggies, kitties, and farm animals. I so wish puppy Mills would close down when so many animals need homes. Rescued animals love their adoptive parents more than any other animals.Please, search shelters b4 you buy a fur baby. You can find any breed you want, and you will find the most loving babies at any age. Plus, they are fixed, have their shots, license and chipped if you are a responsible adoptive parent.

I have always had a great experience with this daycare and kennel services. Dollar is ALWAYS very happy and thoroughly enjoys his time there. I have been using the daycare and kennel services for over a year without incident. I have full trust in all the staff there. I have read the other experiences below and cannot agree with them as consistent. I also don't take my dog's blanket or bowl to kennels anyway, kennels already provide those items. My dog is always well cared for and very happy.

I love this place! I board my dog here once a year and truly cannot think of anything I would change about this facility. Molly always seems so happy when I pick her up. They pay attention to every animal. Molly was not enjoying the playground on one of her visit so they noticed that and switched her to one on one play time and notified me of the change. I would not take Molly anywhere else!! She is clearly loved and cared for at Fern Creek Pet Resort😍

I was a little disappointed they didn't contact me when they couldn't follow instructions left in writing for one of my dogs. I also asked them to not feed one of my dogs when I picked her up as she gets an upset stomach. When asked if she had been fed they said yes. I questioned that and they said that she was fed but didn't eat. They took very good physical care of my dogs but the follow through wasn't there.

Picked this place because of the extra activities they offered when boarding. When we went and picked up our Layla I was informed she failed the play time test. How does a dog fail a test to play? I told them to substitute walks if play time was unavailable. The kept my dog locked up with no exercise at all. Poor dog handlers and not what I was looking for They mislead me about the attention my dog would get. Very disappointed.

I only gave a four star rating as right now because we only have talked to them and gotten arrangements made for them to keep our dog during our vacation. They have done great answering questions and scheduling. Once we get back from vacation and see how Max enjoyed his stay we will most likely give them a five star rating.

We took our 4 month old baby pup in March for a couple days of overnight and puppy daycare. The staff did an incredible job! I was able to call and check up on my baby and they did not rush me off the phone and was tickled to tell me stories about him. This was the time COVID-19 was ramping up and ready to start shutting states down.I had to cut my trip short and pick him up early. They had no troubles getting him washed and ready for an early pickup.Can't wait to bring Mando back soon!

This is the cleanest place I have ever boarded my dog. She actually likes getting out of the car to go to Fern Creek. The staff rarely changes and always knows the pets that they care for. Very affordable and great communication. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Will no longer be using this boarding service. Our first experience wasn't the best. They had promised that while we were away, since we paid extra for the extra activities, that they would update us with a picture. I never received the picture so I called on my way home to go get them to check and see if everything okay since one of my dogs gets very nervous going to new places. The lady who answered laughed and said oops. No apologies or anything. When we finally picked them up we got home and noticed that our other dogs pretty pricey bowl (she uses a special one because she inhales her food) was broken. I called over and left a message and never heard back from them.Decided this past week I would give them another shot, and that was the final draw. My husband made for certain that we would receive pictures since we didn't the last time and they promised they would. No pictures were received during their stay. My husband was stuck in severe traffic due to a horrible accident that required life flight to come out and his GPS said he would arrive about 10 minutes before close, but it wasn't counting traffic. He called and asked if there was any way possible someone could stay POSSIBLY 5mins later if need be because of the heavy traffic due to the wreck. They said they would never ask their employees to stay a minute later than they are scheduled for since they work 12 hour shifts. Well, I've worked in an animal hospital AND I worked 12 hour shifts. If someone called and said that they were stuck in heavy traffic and would be possibly 5 mins late, we would always stay. Why? Because it's customer service.Thankfully, he made it in time and he asked about the pictures and why they weren't sent. All she could say was that it was written down but no one must have done it. I understand you may get busy, but if you promise to do something and you've already screwed up the first time, you do it. Needless to say, we will no longer be taking our pups to this facility due to the lack of customer service.

My dog "Charlie" has been going to doggie day care for the last 5 months between 3 and 5 days a week. Charlie is a very active dog and I know the staff has to spend a great amount of time with him. I can tell you they do so with a smile on their face and a treat in their hand. If you have a pet you care about and need some to watch them when you are busy, there is no better place then here.

Dropped my dog off for boarding, before he was allowed to stay they required that he get the kennel cough vaccine. He has been home 4 days and today I find out he has contracted kennel cough. I will not board with them again
