Meet Millie, the newest critter in our family from Kentucky Humane Society. 🐕‍ She is part German Shepherd, part Husky — often called a Shepsky — and 5 months old. Smart, athletic, surprisingly quiet, affectionate, goofy, and gentle. We are in love!The KHS staff was wonderful! Tiffany was especially helpful with the meet-and-greet while Caroline was so friendly and patient with adoption paperwork. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Awesome people! So clean and friendly! All the animals looked happy and well kept, everyone had toys, food, water, and blankets. And I adopted blowfish today! A 9-year-old baby girl! The staff was amazing so helpful and even sent me home with her box and toy mouse. 💕

I was at the East Campus on a Sunday afternoon. Everything including space and all the cats and dogs were so clean. Staff was friendly and answered all my questions. Sadly, I did not leave with a new furry family member, but I will be going back.

This is in regards to the training class. We took our dog and had to miss 2 weeks and requested handouts for the weeks we missed and never received them. The trainer had some illness as well and was unable to communicate. I feel like the dept should have been more organized in helping her respond to people in the class. We were not impressed by the classes and they might work for puppies or some dogs. We ended up going with a more professional training service to get better results than a once a week class.

Our first visit for our family to find our new addition. The staff was helpful and we adopted Danny. I would give more stars …..we waited in a hot room for the adoption process and it was almost miserable. All of that went away when Danny got in the car.

Adopted a little orange cat named Oliver today. Great staff that love the animals and love their jobs. The animals have more cage space than the main campus does.

They don't answer phone calls or return them. I need to surrender my dog and I submitted an application but they don't realize the urgency of this because I couldn't talk to anyone. I don't know what I'm going to do. This is not optional. Don't know where to go or what to do.

Did not see any puppies( they are all puppies)We got our Mugsy there 10yrs ago. He died in my wife's arms. We're almost ready for another shi-shzu.

I reached out for assistance for an older cat. A few days later they responded how can we help you? I explained, it urgent⁹, I waited for days. I couldn't wait any longer had to beg for money so I could get him to vet. The vet said nothing would make it better, pain would intensify. So we put him to sleep peaceful and quiet, gave him back to God. I am grateful for the time I had him. I learned a lesson. Since this happened, several ppl commented they called and was approved and mailed a check or voucher, their issue was approved without interrogation.

This Humane Society was extremely clean and everyone that worked there was so nice & friendly and you could tell they love their job. 🐕 🐈The dogs pens was so clean & I've been there two days looking for a dog because my dog passed away & their dog pens was never dirty & the cat room was clean also.Thanks for your kindnessDorothy Price

He's older now, but when we first got Ringo (formerly Baby) he stole our hearts. The quietest kitten of the bunch, there was just something about him. I love him so much. We come back to Kentucky Humane Society sometimes to donate and say hello to the little ones. We appreciate everything KHS does. Great organization.

Ahh great place went here and they wouldn’t even open the door. I went here on a Friday at 1:30pm 05/12/2023. Office our posted 11am-5pm Monday-Friday. The lady there was on the defense right away.I hope they read this and what they take away is to attempt to be more inviting and post up to date information on google maps. The hours are already limited.For the other people reading this best of luck. You might be one of the few who get to have the privilege of entering the building.

I take manners classes here with my dog. It's great as far as that goes. I haven't interacted with the business yet otherwise, but I love my instructor, Sue. She's very knowledgeable and friendly.

I went there to donate towels, wet canned cat foods, water fountain and food bowls. There accepted all and were very gracious and appreciative. The place was clean and nice.

Today we went to the expo center for the big adoption thing they was having and we was trying to adopt a puppy. As I was about to fill out the paper work the lady who runs the west port building came over to me and told me that “it’s not going to be a today thing because your son needs to learn some manners”My 4 year old is extremely autistic and we are looking into a service dog to help him. Her excuse was she is autistic as well but we can’t compare adults to children.So because my son is autistic he needs to learn some manners before he is allowed to adopt a puppy to help him in life.To make matters worse when I went back to ask for her name he tried to backtrack and tell me and everyone around she never said anything about my son.In my eyes she discriminated against my 4 year old autistic son and that’s just not okay.
