This store should consider themselves an embarrassment. When you walk in, the staff has music going that's loaded with explicit language, the aisles are always cluttered and the most of the time the floor staff isn't displaying staff distinctions at all. I've been refused service because the clerk "just did her drop" and couldn't take my cash, and have had plainclothes people barking at me that I had to leave my bag, then getting snotty and telling me to "just shop and leave" for offering to let him check my bag before I exit. If y'all have a theft problem, I can't trust to leave my bag anyway. Learn how to treat your customers appropriately, we're the ones who pay your wages.

Store never opens on time. I am sitting outside waiting on someone to come to work. There are even two customers or workers waiting in the cold and the dollar general truck waiting too.

The employees are always delightful & respectful! It's just I've got bad timing on going there!? Because whatever I'm planning to stock up on is usually an item they've ran out of. As for today i had a few items in mind & they did have them. So as usual for the main item of 1st desire... I tell myself better luck next time.

Wow! The customer service at this store is fantastic. One of the employees actually guided me throughout the store to help me find everything I wanted to purchase; and actually offered to carry items that wouldn't fit on the seat of my walker. Talk about first impressions... They don't get any better than this. I will be a faithful customer.

A guy shopping here that had a mask off, telling other customers and encouraging people to take their masks off as well cause you gotta spread that covid. Isles are usually filled up so it's an obstacle to walk around items that haven't been stocked. The milk cooler where milk is is dirty and should be checked by osha. Not sanitary. Lots of "customers" coming in the store, walking out stealing items.

completely understaffed most of the time. when they do show up for work the workers are rude, or act like they're on something. Registers won't work most, they wont accept debit cards half of the time. The store closes at unexpected times. There is merchandise ready to be put on shelves in walk ways but half the shelves themselves are empty. There isn't any baskets or carts to shop with. What a joke. I know we are in the West end but I get great service from other businesses in the area. That's no excuse.

Could find everything I needed easily. After a certain hour the doors will appear to e locked, but an employee has to come to door to let you in.. due to previous robbery attempts which was stayed as reason by the young lady who let me in.

Love this store they carry nice products, the prices are reasonable, and the customer service reps work well to ensure timely departure out of their store. A little congested at times, but a nice place to shop for household goods and other decorarive items.

I love this dollar store. The workers there are amazing...the only thing is lately they have been out of a lot of things. I'm not sure if it's related to the pandemic or not but it sucks because I don't like going anywhere else

Only gets 2 stars from me because Dollar General refuses to have a full staff one person can't run the store by themselves. I feel so bad for the employees there. Great people messed up company to work for won't hire full time so they don't have to offer benefits. Shame on you Dollar General!!

the customer service here is very good they allow you to use the restroom without buying anything you do need to ask for a key. if you are looking for cheap ice cream on a hot summer day for a dollar this would be the place to go.

"Horrible"!!! It's gotta be one of the worst dollar stores in Louisville! Everything you always need is never on the shelves?? How can a store always be out of basic necessities?? And I'm sick of hearing that intercom talking about how secuirty is recording while i shop! That is annoying.. How come i don't hear that when I'm in J-town's dollar store or St. Matthews?? I hate going in the dollar stores in the Westend it's always slow service, long lines, empty stores and rachett-ness!

Door didnt work, merchandise still on stock carts and on the floor. Not even an attempt at an Open or Welcome sign. Poor lighting. Feels like walking into a prison cell leaving your last day of freedom behind you. Despite it being 80 degrees no one took the time to put water in the fridge or any healthy drinking options just soda, energy drinks and gatorade. Employees did not bother to care to wear any thing that says Dollar General not even a hint of Yellow. Credit Card Terminal has seen better days, seems like they could care less if their customers were hacked. Discriminatory security system, yes we know its located in a bad area, but having a PA blasting out that we're being watched is unacceptable. Prices are too high $10 for a 4 pack of light bulbs. Id be better off going to Lowe's and buying premium lighting. This place is a dying reminder why consumers are done with retail and moving to e commerce.

THE NEW STORE AT DIXIE AND OAK (40210) NEVER OPEN, EMPLOYEES JUST SITTINGAROUND TELLING CUSTOMERS THEIR REGISTERS ARE NOT WORKING. THEY JUST BUILT THE STORE, WE HAVE NO WHERE ELSE TO SHOP, WE LOVE IT........BUT WE ARE NEVER ABLE TO BUY ANYTHING. WHY WOULD YOUR REGISTERS NOT BE WORKING FOR SEVERAL WEEKS??? HOW CAN YOU PAY EMPLOYEES TO SIT AROUND WHILE YOU ARE NOT TAKING IN ANY MONEY..........I LOVE THE STORE, BUT CAN NEVER BUY ANYTHING.

Never opened on time closes earlier then their sign states. They closed on Super Bowl.... Its not even a holiday. Staff is rude with the exception of like 2 ladies. Trying to do a return is about impossible because they will tell you only a manager can do it and isnt there ever from hwhat it seems.

It is un organized and unprofessional...the close the doors everyday at 7 even though it's advertised online to shut down at 8pm. Then they choose which customers to let in after that!!!! I would rate it a .00002 if I could

Never anything stocked on shelves. Always a bunch of boxes and u boats in the aisle blocking the things that are on the shelves. Hit and miss with having what I need when I do go there.
