If I could give this place zero stars I would!! This was the worst pet service I’ve ever had. Talk about every dog parents WORSE NIGHTMARES come true. This lady had my dog from 10- 7, and even at 7 when I was there to pick her up asked for a few more hours. And at this point I was very uneasy after my dog usually only take about 2-3 hours to groom max! So I refused and said I’m here to get my dog. The lady proceeded to meet me and my wife at the door and quite literally threw down my dogs leash and said “has she ever been groomed before. “My dog is a goldenDoodle and was about two in these photos of course she had to of been groomed before!!!! And the disrespect of not even handing my dog to me. DO NOT COME HERE!My dog acted very skittish the days following this even until I could get someone to come fix her.I see all her very rude and unprofessional comments on here to other reviews with TERRIBLE story’s as well. And all she can say is excuse after excuse.“We didn’t have enough time”“A regular routine opposed to every 6 months would help with all of your complaints.” the sarcasm is awful!!“The standard time frame for a groom is 2-4 hours as we have multiple dogs that also require prep work, finishing work, and we offer dogs multiple breaks through the service as needed.” but can’t explain why other reviews she’s had them for 8-12 hours .Please read the reviews and just see the way the owner reacts instead of trying to make things right!Maybe you should take on less dogs, you’d be much better out of business to be quite honest.

I am only giving 3 stars because even tho my dog came out looking really good, she gave me an appt time of 130 when I got there she wasn’t there and then pulled up like 10 mins after me, kept the doors locked so owners were not able to come in and check on thier dogs. And at almost 730pm she was just now finishing my dog after me dropping him off at 130pm made me late cooking dinner for my kids etc… Like I said my baby looked great but if hes gonna be kept for 6 plus hours every time he needs groomed we will NOT BE BACK!!

Wonderful! Our dogs have been coming to Bullitt County Pet Salon for the past 2 years, and we have always been treated very well and had fantastic results! This is one of very few places, that I could find, who will work with the certain quirks of a husky, especially my stubborn, but sweet husky. Our appointments have always been kept as they were booked and completed in the appropriate time frame for 2 dogs to be groomed. The owner is very sweet and caring! She really puts a lot of attention to detail in the work that she does and you can tell she loves all animals! In my experience she has been very responsive and prompt to texts and other means of communication. I love being able to support small businesses in my local community and this is one of my favorites!

Samantha has been the greatest to our family, Chase our sheepadoodle has been going to only her since he was weeks old almost a year old now. He always looks great and even though he gives her a hard way to go sometimes with his feet she is always patient with him. The wait to get your pup back is long sometimes but it is just her but she is also brought him home for me before so I didn’t have to drag my 3 year old daughter back out. I try to recommend her to everyone I know because she’s very sweet and her prices are so affordable.

Absolute horrible experience! I brought my Frenchie in for just a bath/dry! She informed me she could get him in same day around 3:30pm and this service would be quick! When I arrived, I seen the owner walking into her building with her child. The door was locked when I got to the door so I rang the door bell. She opened the door and when I walked in all you can see is a wall and a desk up front. She was very nice over the phone so I felt comfortable to let her bathe him. Before leaving, I again asked how long it would take, as me and my son would be sitting out in the car waiting (especially since there’s absolutely no where to wait in the building). She assures me it won’t take long, she will call me when he’s ready to be picked up.As I’m sitting in my car I see her and her daughter get in her car and drive away (so I’m thinking, okay! She has other employees working obviously).As I continue to wait I see her through the front window painting her window seal, then she proceeds to go outside to smoke a cigarette and chit chat with the employees at a business next door. This is now going on 3 hours since I dropped my pup off!. I finally decide to go to the door, it’s locked so I ring the door bell multiple times and she never comes to the door. After getting back into my car I call her multiple times and no answer. She finally sends me a text and says “all dogs will be ready at 7pm” I respond back to her and ask why especially since she told me it would be quick!! By this time I’m furious and nervous what’s going on in there!! She begins to tell me it’s a 2-3 hour process and she “didn’t know I was waiting outside”. So I tell her if my dog has not been started I will take him and possibly bring him back another time. She responds much later and tells me she will stop on another dog and get my dog out in 20 mins. While I’m still waiting I ask the people next door if they know if she gets complaints a lot and they agreed very quickly that she does! As I’m freaking out one of the girls says she will go to the back door and let the owner know I want my dog!.After about 10 more mins the owner finally brings Achilles out to me very quickly she tells me since I’m paying with a card she will send me a link via text, and proceeds to shut the door!.When I get him into the car I notice he’s still wet, he stinks, he has loose hair all over and he was nursing his paw!!. I messaged her and expressed my frustration and she was SUPER unprofessional with her response, she has also sent me threats via text. She is money hungry and is neglecting these poor fur babies while in her care. Do not go here!!!. Per her other bad reviews, I’m sure she will respond to this review just as unprofessional as all the others!!

I had an appointment set for 3pm, arrived at the establishment, and the owner was nowhere to be found. We knocked, rang the doorbell, texted, and called with absolutely no luck in contacting her. There were numerous dogs in her establishment barking constantly from the moment we arrived. Finally, she showed up at 3:30pm, with the excuse that she was doing her laundry and hadn’t realized we had arrived yet. She gave us a time estimate of 2-4 hours. After 4 hours had passed, I sent a message checking in, and was told a pick up time of 8:30. Fast forward to 8:30, I am sitting in the parking lot and she tells me that it will be a “good thirty minutes.” Long story short, my dogs were not done being groomed until 10pm. My Pomeranians were shaved to the lowest level, their heads being left long, with no blending between the two. The image I sent to her looks nothing like what my dogs left looking like, and she reasoned that to be because they were “moving too much.” Which I find hard to believe, considering I have two fairly old and loving dogs, and the fact that as a groomer she should be able to handle decently well behaved canines. I also believe that she had left while my dogs were in her care, due to the fact that her car was in a different parking spot than it had been in previously. I do not recommend this business at all. She spent almost 6.5 hours with my dogs, just for them to come out looking worse than when they had come in, and had the nerve to charge $95 for it.

Absolutely fantastic service! I gave them very short notice and was in a pinch on time to get my dog groomed. Bullitt County Pet Salon was extremely welcoming did not hesitate to take care of me!Could not ask for better service at a reasonable price! I think she’s the best in town! She runs 2 businesses, so we understand that waiting long periods of time could happen with appointments, she can get behind on cleaning, and being super busy. She knows what she is doing and good at it! She groomed my in laws Maltese and she turned out awesome! Very nice lady as well!!

When I started bringing my dog here I was completely transparent that he did not like his nails trimmed and I did not trust myself to do it because he has black nails. She assured me that she could do it. I have came and helped her with my dog a few times because he is pretty difficult. I don’t mind helping and also tipping 20% on top of that because I have appreciated the help.With that being said, I texted her yesterday and asked when she would be available for me to bring him in next. She said I could bring him at 2:30 but I said I wouldn’t be able to bring him until 4:30 and she said that was fine. I brought him and after 2 hours I could not reach her and there was no time estimate as to when I could pick him up. I ended up going up there because I didn’t want her to feel like I’d abandoned my dog or something. She told me she hadn’t gotten to him yet and he would be ready at 7:30. I pull up at 7:30 and she texted me saying that her help left and he is too difficult for her. I came to the door and I was going to offer my help, but I couldn’t even get a word in before she tells me she did not get to him, it’s not a good fit, he is too difficult, and to not bring him back.I will say up until this point I have had a generally positive experience, but in my opinion, she completely overbooks and overwhelms herself. If you bring your pet here be prepared to not know when you’ll have your pet back with very little communication. I wouldn’t bring your pet if it is anxious to grooming. She is not equipped for it.I hope the best for her and hoped it would’ve worked out, but it didn’t!This is just my experience, so don’t completely judge this place just off of me.

What a wonderful and kind woman! Samantha was so sweet & attentive to me. I was desperately looking for a new groomer and she took me in the same day. My doggy hates baths but she came out so happy & looks amazing! It took a while but not too long. Definitely worth the wait. I can only say that the few negative reviews are just horrible people whom didn’t get taught patience growing up. They expect great service but not willing to wait the time for a great finished look on their pups! She definitely got a new client today! :) also she is a small business & we should all be more considerate of the hard work she puts in! Support your small businesses! I will be going back going forward.

I wanted to give this place a chance, and I'm glad I did. I can't give a full 5 stars, because although the owner is very nice and she did a good job, I think this business would benefit from some more organization. We all know how staffing is crazy right now, and she is doing her best, but she seemed way overbooked even though she took our dog very early in the day, before her other appointments. Also, a set-up voicemail would be beneficial as well. If you aren't in a hurry, give her a chance. I hope she gets some staff soon.Thank you for making Molly look cute.

My dogs appt was at 8:30 in the morning. They were there until 7:30 at night. They did not anwer the phonewhen we where calling. The door was locked.and not answered until the baby sitter told them my husband told her he was going to bust the windows out to get our dogs.Their baby sitter went to the back and was let in. My dogs were not bathed. My husband helped finish one dog. The worst by far groomer I've ever encountered. The photos are of the hair cut one of my dogs.I would advise you not leave your pets.

I just had the worst experience with Bullitt County Pet Salon. Just wanted to warn anyone. She was 30 minutes late to my 10:30 appointment. She gave an estimated time of 2-4hrs. After 4hrs I started to call and heard nothing. Straight to VM & text wouldn’t send. So I got so worried!!! After 4 hours she told me “my phone was dead and just charged it to tell you she’s ready.” So I paid. Then after my dog was already back home she texted me to say her feet weren’t finished and nails weren’t trimmed!!!!! Just save yourself the huge headache.Her response—“Dog don’t call me on the phone”BUT THEIR OWNERS DO!!! 😡I see she responds to every negative review w more excuses and 0 customer service so can’t wait to see what she responds to this one

I started a review on here yesterday and just couldn't come up with the right words. I didn't realize I had left one star which isn't a fair rating at all. So I'm updating now. The groomer herself Samantha did a wonderful job on the cut and style. My dog ended up with exactly the cut that I wanted. It seems she is having the same issues most businesses are having and that is getting good quality help/employees. Getting people in and getting them trained is tough. We had a few issues with misplacing a collar and leash but she was prompt to contact me and let me know they had been found and even offered to drive them to me. No harm, no foul.

Before the owner comments (not a customer of ours), her and her son hurt an old lady (her son admitted to this). Her son tried to get this old lady’s dog to run away so that this lady would leave their shop, putting that dogs life in danger. When I questioned her about this (since her son ADMITTED to it), she literally blocked me. That is NOT professional. It is not how you run a business. You don’t block people for leaving bad reviews. I find it baffling that you’ve not once owned up to any mistake on your end with all of these complaints on your reviews. Pathetic. You have lost so many customers and I hope you never have another one.Edit: like I said “not a customer of ours”. And no ma’am it is not illegal to repeat what your son told all of us. He said he pushed the woman down and let her dog run away to make her leave.

I had the pleasure of having Samantha work on my baby Zeus( great pyrenees mix). She did such a great job! Great with communication, great with him. This was his first time doing something like this. Friendly staff, best prices in town. This is the only place I trust to groom my fur baby. My 4 year old long haired Chihuahua, Vega Sue is very skiddish around new people. They did an excellent job at making her feel comfortable. Her nails and coat never looked so good. Thanks for taking such good care of my baby! Definitely recommend!

My friend took her dog there for the first time. She called to check up on her pup and no one answered the phone. She decided to go over there and the door was locked. She knocked and knocked and no one answered. She went to the back door and finally someone answered. Her pup was very nervous and crying. She said the place was very dirty and the manager was very rude. Do not take your animals there if you care about them
