Buyer Beware:The prices on the used tack are absolutely insane.While the selection is huge and that’s nice, $275 for a nasty, crunchy girth cause cause it’s a brand name? $15 for cloth reins with holes in them? $15 for rubber reins that are literally melted and crumbling in your hands?I feel bad for people who don’t know their pricing & come in here.

At first looks kinda small but they handle a lot of products and do some customization work. Also if ur from out of town, like we were, they offered to ship product if we couldn't wait. Very friendly staff.

I go here for almost all of my equine needs and everything I have gotten from there has been more than outstanding. The employees are some of the nicest people I’ve met and were one of the first introductions I had into the people of Kentucky when I first moved. Their consignment tack and gear is my personal favorite place to start when I first get there. I have a strangely shaped pony (he fits in both cob and pony sized gear) so having bits and pieces of bridles, saddles, girths etc. in the cheaper consignment area makes shopping for him so much easier and less costly than shopping on Dover for a brand new or even used noseband for example. If you want a small but incredibly effective tack store to go to, this is the place to go.

Lovely place. I especially love the consignment basement, as it appeals to my inner penny pincher. Clean, well stocked. And the added bonus of meeting Mr Paul Newman. (He's more handsome in person.)

I bought an Equation Dressage Saddle by Custom Saddlery in the consignment section. The employees at Wise Choice helped me pick out this saddle - fit it to me etc and I was overall very impressed.I got a great deal on the saddle and was very pleased with the saddle buying experience.Until I had a saddle fitter come out and tell me I need to throw this saddle away because it has a twisted tree.So thanks Wise Choice.

Very polite people! Clean store. Lots of different horse riding items to choose from. They have footwear, some horse cleaning items, clothing and belts. They even have an area downstairs with second hand clothes and saddles, etc.

My experience at Wise choice was fantastic! It`s a fantastic place with everything from bits to breeches. It is clean, and every saddle is neatly placed on a rack. They have about 75+ saddles in stock, maybe more. Most saddles are previously owned and in perfect condition. I bought my Wintec 2,000 all purpose saddle there for 350$. It is normally priced for around 900$. It is spotless, and wonderful. Every bit of it is perfect! They have a nice selection of Kensington apparel and many fine blankets available. They have a good selection of riding boots. I got a pair of Dublin dress boots for 60$.Overall, I absolutely 100% recommend Wise choice.This text was not endorsed by Wise Choice Tack and Trailer. DO NOT SHOP HERE! Had a friend that needed some last minute show clothes stop by here. The lady told her she was required to have a specific helmet, after she bought it (all of 10 min later) she found out it was not what she needed nor required to have. Once home she called the lady back and told her she would like to return it, her trainer said it wasn't required. After arguing about how her trainer was wrong & telling her she couldn't return it she finally agreed to take the helmet back and banned the client from the store. What an awful & rude place. Not that the quality of stuff was that great at the store anyways, we certainly will never be back there again.
