NEVER AGAIN!! I've been a loyal customer of PetSmart Grooming for years, but will never return again. The girl that cut my adorable little Shih Tzu butchered her & needs to go back & retrain on how to groom dogs. A 5yr old could have done a better job. Now I know why she insisted that I pay before she brought my dog out to me. In all the years I've went there, I've never been made to pay before I saw my dog. The lady was extremely rude & another lady let another dog come completely off the table, because she was too busy watching & listening to another person's conversation, instead of tending to the dog on her table. When the dog fell, she scolded the dog & yelled out how she was over it. Well, I'm completely over PetSmart & will not only never take my dog there to be groomed, but I will not spend another dollar at PetSmart, period. As a pup mom of two this is a go to one stop shop. I have used their grooming as well as purchased many items from the store. I have not used the vet located inside the store so no comments. The do have a satellite adoption center for Lexington Humane Society (at the back) as well as the Paris Animal Shelter (on the right side of the store. (Days depending) They also have some unique animals such as birds and reptiles. Service is always friendly and they have reasonable prices. I have volunteered at the Lexington Humane Society Satellite (Everyday Adoption Center at PetSmart in Hamburg) in the store and the employees were obviously very caring and loving towards the animals. Personal comment: Adopt don't shop.

PetSmart cut off a chunk of my boy’s ear! 🤬 He was scheduled with a DAWN B. I got multiple phone calls from different people trying to downplay it like it was just a skin graze but then I got a call from the in house vet saying she’s sending him home with medicine and a cone?! His services were free and they have also offered another free haircut but I don’t wanna send him back!! I’m pissed! This is unacceptable and more than a damn skin graze! **First pic is what his ears usually look like

Grooming department. I had an appointment to have my dog groomed when I showed up the lady at desk finished up with customer in front of me then took her dog and walked to table and started on his nails. Three workers visible in grooming room. None of which even smiled, or acknowledged my presence much less spoke. I stood there waiting for 15 minutes being totally ignored. I just walked out.

Me and my daughter love coming in just to "look" at all the dogs and cats up for adoption. The animals are sweet but they will not let you interact with them or pet them with out an employee supervision and how dare you put your finger up to the cages for a friendly pet. The last time we were at PetSmart, me and my daughter were giving treats to the dogs that they provide for you to do as such. We got in trouble for putting our fingers up to the cage lol! I mean, how do they expect you to give them treats? Aside from that, they are a bit pricey on their food. While they do provide a lot of options, everything is on the high end of the pricing scale. The pet hospital/Banfield that is inside the store is truly a Money racket and they charge 2 and 3 times the amount other vet clinics charge for the same services. They tried to charge me a fee for my kitten to be fixed because he was 6 months old and then tried to guilt trip me into getting him fixed using the laser method which was 500 bucks with the pet insurance they conned me into buying! The pet insurance was truly a waste of money and they charge you sooo much and it doesn't cover but very little of the services they provide. Getting him fixed the common way cost me 350.00! I was young and dumb then but now much much wiser to scams and money rackets! With this said, please please please don't let this deter you from adopting from them. It's not the animals fault, they can't help it. Hopefully this will make you want to adopt them to get them out of their situation.

Ariel has been my beloved gigantic German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees, Laken-Wolf's groomer, for several years. She has gotten his coat in top-notch condition, and he's always so excited to see his "Aunt" Ariel. She is gentle and so professional. He's always in a great mood when we are back home!

Staff are very knowledgeable. I purchase all of my pet supplies there. My dog goes to the vet there also. I wish they would bring the treat trail game back to the app. I miss those coupons. It makes it way easier on the wallet.

Went in to browse the Lexington Humane Society puppies. We ended up leaving with one and all the supplies needed to get started. The bonding room was a nice way to get to know your puppy. Associates were very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all our questions and it took us a little over an hour from start to finish. Store was clean, organized, and well-stocked too!

Place is nice. ..but.... I went to get cat and the people adopting them out make it dame hard to give a cat a home ....they called my landlord for "PERMISSION " nutz right? But ya they made it real tuff to save a kitty's life but store was very very very OVER PRICED.......go to tractorssupplies it's got best prices on letter and some food

Petsmarts are notorious for animal mistreatment, but I feel like the employees here actually care. They're all very nice. This is also the Petsmart that has adoptions available. This pup stole my heart, but I can't have anymore pets lol

I went up there to buy fish. I was told by a sales person that she was not going to sell me, the fish. So I asked for manager. The manager sold me the fish. I asked the manager that I wanted to put a complaint about this sales person. and they ignored me.

Went to try to adopt a dog from here. Guy would not even let us do a meet and greet,said it was because we had a dog that wasn't good with other dogs, this is not the case since the dog we have came from a home with multiple dogs. I DO NOT recommend this site for adoption!

Even though the associate at the register was stretched thin due to lack of staff, he pointed me to a much better choice of e Collar when I told him my pup was a Houdini when it came to Velcro and other fasteners. I really appreciate the help. My pup would give him 0 ⭐️ because he can’t get out of this eCollar.

I love the store and all of the employees seem legitimately interested in pets and the products in the store. Everyone is so friendly. My only gripe is that the prices are laughably high when compared to the likes of Amazon and other online retailers. Beyond that, the place is awesome :-)

All I can say is WOW. We picked up a husky with some matted fur and really wanted her to be helped that day; we’re out of state so didn’t want a 3 hour ride with a dog that was uncomfortable. They got us in and completely transformed this dogs look! She went from scraggly cutie to Gorgeous Gal!!They got her done quickly and were able to save a lot of the matted fur from being snipped. Simply amazing team.

I shop at PetSmart because they carry my dogs brand of food, that was recommended for her since she was a puppy.They are high priced for most items, in my opinion, especially dog treats. There are some treats I purchase, only because my dog has her favorites that I can't find elsewhere. It's usually a fun visit for my dog... she loves attention from other shoppers and occasionally meets a couple dogs where there's a mutual approval and they prance about to play.It's nice to shop where your dog can shop along side, with you.But, the only downfall are their high Prices!! ...ridiculously high, if you can find the same product elsewhere, do so.They also have their own vet service and a grooming service. I, however, have never used those services.

I adopted a wonderful 8yr old orange tabby from Lexington Petsmart. He needed a home and I have a good one to offer to him. Thanks Petsmart for allowing the homeless animals in your area to be given the chance for an adoption. This is my Sam!

Most of the time when I've been to a PetSmart, I feel comfortable. The employees smile and welcome your pet wherever they may be around the store. Today, the attitude and helpfulness of the employees were lacking. Simple questions were met with "no" or "I don't know" and simply had a back turned on. I was not impressed with the Hamburg PetSmart location. Banfield Animal Hospital, on the other hand, was amazing! I do recommend these doctors!

Very friendly staff! Took our dog to the groomers yesterday. It must have been a tough job, since our dog is not used to other dogs. They did their job like we expected them to do it. He came back smelling good and his fur looked really clean! I would definitely recommend this place if you need to get your pet groomed.

I just got home to test out my new, Mister for my reptile and it’s missing the nozzle I’ve had one before and it lasted me two months before exploding on the container and this one is now brand new and missing the nozzle
