My boyfriend wrote this but it wouldn’t let him post through his account: My girlfriend and I brought our 8 month old Aussie here for the self-serve pet wash. Upon arriving there were 2 employees and a man standing at the register, I began speaking to the cashier about the pet wash so I could get some towels for my dog but the man kept staring at my girlfriend making her uncomfortable enough to leave and walk to another section of the store (she also made it apparent that she was uncomfortable). I asked the cashier for 3 towels because our dog is bigger and the man, who happened to be the manager or owner, took over the conversation immediately and handed me 2 towels while stating that they only give 2 away on weekends because they don’t have enough clean ones. Once I took my dog to the pet wash and began washing him, my girlfriend noticed that they brought out fresh towels from the back. The pet wash was one of the nastiest ones we have seen, I understand that everyone is bringing their pets there but there were gnats constantly flying around biting us and there were bugs all over the floor, not to mention the water had an foul smell. My girlfriend noticed the manager walked by the aisle multiple times and just proceeded watching us for no apparent reason. We finished washing our dog and when I went to grab the towels, I noticed that they were filthy. They were stained, smelly and had hairballs all over them from other animals. They were disgusting. My girlfriend went to ask for cleaner ones but the cashier was very snarky and rude and just said “it’s probably because all of our towels are old”. Old towels I can understand, but hairballs and stains from other animals are unacceptable. She handed her another towel from a bin(that looked just as nasty,if not more) that was just a ragged cloth at that point. We always go to feeders supply on Harrodsburg road(LOVE THEM) but pet supplies is closer so it was more convenient and we thought we should give it a try. I once again, DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

Just close this location. Someone was trimming a dog’s nails in the middle of a shopping aisle, employees were no help what so ever, and the place was a wreck. I found a bag of treats my usual pet store doesn’t have so thought I would get them and leave. I walk up to the counter to find this sign so I go to fish and tell them I’m ready and no one comes to the register. After a good five minutes at least of waiting, someone (not either of the two employees in the fish department) comes up there to help. Then the treats aren’t ringing up at the correct price so I had to wait for a price check, as well. Definitely will not be going back.

The selection isn't very wide for cats, it looks like theres a lot for dogs, and things are usually a bit more expensive here than other pet stores, but it's conveniently located and fun to browse!

“I took my dog here and they returned him like this, which is completely unacceptable. It look like it was on purpose. They still charged me and he smells like they didn’t even give him a bath. They also didn’t cut his nail and I paid $70. This is very sad. Do not take your dogs here”

Good location and a lot of good options. I feel like the cat food selection might be even bigger or a wider variety than other places? The staff is always kind, friendly, and attentive. Learned about their brand of kibble that is comparable to Science Hill and I'm excited to try it next time we need kibble.Always love seeing what animals they have at the front of the store for adoption, so cute!

Their stock seems fine. Somewhat overpriced on certain items, considering you can get them cheaper, literally, 100 yards away. But, they were adequately stocked on most items.The one thing I found lacking was customer service. I was looking for a particular item and had two different employees, pass by, (one of them twice) without asking if I could use help finding something.And that wasn't the only bad service experience I had THAT visit.Not in a hurry to go back. There ARE other stores that sell the pet supplies my cat needs.

I have had many good experiences at this store and back in august- October had a couple bad. I emailed the new store manager Jenn back In October after what I thought was my last straw here. But she wrote me back and apologized, assured me she took care of the employee who caused the trouble and offered me a discount for the inconvenience. Today I went In the store and had the pleasure of meeting her. She is kind, caring, personable, attentive and seems to love what she does. A rare trait these days. This store will be fabulous once again with Jenn running the ship. I have already set up my autoship order and will recommend to others. Thanks Jenn and pet supplies plus in restoring my trust! 🙏

I like this place but they make me angry never having my dog's food, especially expensive brands that they recommend. I go through the process of changing his food, only to have to do it again! The last time I changed his food (per vet recommendation) I asked multiple times if the food we went to would be carried. I was told "Yes!", "Absolutely!", "It's a major brand and we always keep it!", "After your 10th bag, you get one free!".... Lies. They don't keep food in stock, so it's impossible to get a free bag. I also get my hedgehog's food there, and it was out of stock for almost 2 months several months ago. I was specifically told it was ordered. Nope... sure wasn't. I love the convenience of the store's location, and they do have decent deals on toys. Staff is always pretty nice, but food stock is terrible.

Friendly staff, but every time I order something online it takes them all day to respond, despite giving me an hour window for pick-up. Half the time they wait until right before the store closes to call me and inform me that they don't even have the correct product in stock. Online pick up needs serious improvement. Outside that, I still shop here, just wish the online service was better.

Worst grooming service in town. I had been bringing my dog there for grooming since 2020. The staff had always been nice and professional, as well as proactive on anything that was needed prior to an appointment. They would even go so far as to text if they had any cancellations to see if I wanted to come in earlier than my appointment.Then I scheduled an appointment for 11/05/22 for a bath, brush, nail trimming, gland expression, and hair trim. The groomer was listed as someone named Samantha, who I was not familiar with. The appointment had been scheduled for well over a week. I took extra time off work to take my dog in only for "Samantha" to tell me she wasn't trained and could only give a bath and brush. When I asked why no one bothered to call me to tell me that they couldn't perform the services that I scheduled on their website, she just shrugged her shoulders.I decided to give them a second chance by scheduling an appointment for a simple bath, brush, and nail trim for 01/06/23. 3 people were working in the grooming area when I arrived and a young lady asked me if I had updated shot records. I told her vaccines weren't due until Feb. So she asked me to call my vet so she could "hear it for [herself]", as if I was lying. When I couldn't get through to my vet's office, I asked why no one called me or notified me that they needed proof as I could've easily brought the reminder card my vet sent me to show vaccines weren't due until Feb. Another girl chimed in with, "We send reminders!" When I told them I never got anything except an appointment reminder, they asked me to verify my phone number, which I did, and got, "Well that's the number we have on file." When I mentioned my experience back in November, an older woman decided to interrogate me with "who was it" and "what did you schedule", finally pointing out that the girl behind the desk was evidently the "Samantha" from my previous appointment.I recommend Feeder's Supply and Pawlished Pets for grooming bc this place neither cares about wasting their customers' time, nor retaining business. This location and its grooming employees are a 100% joke. Also don't bother calling their corporate office because nobody ever answers.

1/2 a star! First time user. Had dog groomed and never received call only text(which does always go thru right away). They charged me a $15 late fee. Never said there would be. Talked to groomer who was rude and wouldn't consider taking off. Talked to suoervisor & she gave 0 f's. I asked her. So, u don't mind losing a 1st time customer over $15? She shook her head and said no, not really. I paid, left & won't ever go back.

I really love how many options there are, when other 'bigger' stores in town have fewer overall options for things. Need a harness for a small-almost-medium dog? They've got a whole aisle for that. Need a specific kind of small animal food? There's half an aisle of different dietary blends where you can fill your own 'pay by the weight' bag for that too. They've got dubia roaches, super worms, meal worms, and many other specific reptile need items, they've got a whole row just for bird toys, and another for fish supplies (some of which are really specific!). Your dog needs a special diet? That food is almost definitely in stock, both dry and wet. Same for cats. Even some of the more minor remedies for exotic issues like calcium-rich gut load food for feeder insects or UVB lights to help avoid metabolic bone disease in reptiles, or treatments for ich in fish tanks.Staff is phenomenal, and I've yet to meet anyone there who wasn't just as willing to talk to me about rats or snakes or spiders as they were about dogs and cats- And that includes the groomers.Staff is just. *chef kiss* Wonderful, welcoming, and very engaged with what they do. It really shows when someone enjoys what they're doing, and I haven't met anyone who works at this location who didn't enjoy talking about animal care, and how to do it well.

Have been going here for a bit and their curb side and delivery has been great. Recently had a very rude Uber driver who delivered for them and they personally apologised for his behaviour even though it wasn’t their fault. Mark was so helpful with the situation. The stock in their store is sometimes eh but honestly haven’t had too many problems. Also bought two fish from them, one who lived for a good few years and another who is thriving now. Pretty good place overall.

Prices are super high compared to other stores. The selection isn't all that great either. The employees are rude. They act like they don't want to be bothered. The only thing I seen worth getting is the self serve dog wash with teeth cleaning and nails clipped added on. For supplies feeders supply or petsmart is better on selection and prices.

I have been looking for a dwarf catfish (otocinclus) for a long time. Several stores said they couldn't get them. Tried Pet Supplies + on recommendation by another store. And they had several.

I started going there to buy my cat food, the second time I was there the employee with the piercing on her face was really bade rude I was looking at buying a cat. I open the door and the black cat almost got out. She treated me really disgusting like. Buying my products from Amazon from now on!!

I stopped around before purchasing a parakeet. This petshop has cages that are very clean and sanitary. When I requested they hold a parakeet I liked, they obliged. I was really impressed by the knowledge and kindness of the staff here.

I'm start off by saying how much I love this pets store. I've lived out tates creek for now 3 years and I ran into this little pet store bc I frequent Fan outfitters. When they took it away I had to see what was go I ng to replace it. The grand opening this pet store had a pretty good sale going to the point my mom went to get a harness for her little dog and I ended up leaving with a 10 gal tank and couple gold fish. From that day forward I'm in there once or twice a week. I've bought about 8 fish from them, and I now have one 10 gal. Tank, one complete 20 gal. Tank, and another 20 gal in progress. There employees have been very helpful and knowledgeable about any question I've had, or my mom has had. Of course they know more then fish. It just happens to be my soul purpose for going. At the moment there having a sale for a $1.00 per gallon on fish tanks. How can you beat that? All I can say is I love this place. They have become my get away, my out of this whole quarantine situation. Being why I've managed to start 3 tanks. Overall it's all been fun, and exciting. I have felt like they have been as excited as me to see the out come of each one. There great people. I consider them to not only be friends, but new family as well. So long as they keep it up I'm never going to shop at another pet store as long as I live.

I was not happy with this place at all. I took my 5 1/2 month old Shih Tzu here for a shave and the works. Only to be told that they could not shave him because he was scared of the clippers now I understand that if he was scared that it makes it a little harder but at the same time this was not his first time at the groomer and he is scared of the dark as well but I still take him outside at night to pee. So then I proceeded to tell them that I understand that he’s scared but that a lot of dogs are scared of the groomers and that I still wanted his haircut so they tell me that they’re not doing it and they didn’t, and told me I could bring him back in 2 to 3 weeks for a puppy cut which is only $25. No thank I wanted him to shaved down not a puppy cut. Then I told him that I was going to be taking him to a different groomers and they told me to make sure that I let the groomer know that he was scared of the clippers so that they could schedule him accordingly so I believe that that was the whole issue is that it would’ve took longer to groom him to shave him because he was scared and they didn’t have the time because they were booked for weeks. But I’m not understanding how that’s fair for me or him to not get the services that I had booked and waited for two weeks on all because it would’ve took longer. I did not know that I was going to be paying $40 to do the same exact things I could’ve done at home so I’m not happy and I will not be going back.

Have used the place a few times since it was around the corner from our house and covenant for our dogs to get groomed. The last appointment we had the groomer overslept so we waited for 30 mins for them to have someone show up . We tried for weeks trying to get ahold of someone so we could make an appointment and kept being transferred and No one awnsering the phone or returned phone calls . Finally my girlfriend was able to get a appointment and thought her appointment was at 10:30 but it was 10 so we showed up 15mins late and was told sorry we can't get you in . Although the previous time we waited on this companies employee that was 30mins late . I'm not looking for or will I accept a discount I will find someone else to do business with

Had to revise my review after a recent experience. I am generally really happy with the staff here. They are always really helpful. We love bringing our pup here to use their self washing stations. So we thought we would try to use their grooming services. When we first got there, we waited till they were ready for is and then explained to them that our dog does not do well in a cage or kennel, she had previously hurt herself that day trying to get out of our kennel at home. When we came back 2 hours later our dog had only half her hair cut and was sitting aside while the lady worked on another dog that came in after our dog. We believe they double booked this session and this dog comes in here more often so they got priority. So our dog was only half cut and waiting to the side. When we asked the lady doing it she said she had her in the cage AFTER only cutting her part way and our dog was freaking out. Well duh, we told you. Anyway. Why would you only cut our dogs fir half way and than start on another dog? It makes no sense. Just get it all done at once than she doesn't need to go in the kennel. Anyway, after that we asked when she would be finished with our dog. Keep in mind our dog was only half cut. She tried to push us to come back the next day with our half cut dog. Well we both work so that wasn't happening. She was basically trying to push us so she could go home early. Anyway, we asked her to finish that night. After she was finally done 45 min later, so our dog has been there for almost 3 hours and a half hours all together, we finally got to go home. After inspection, our dogs fur was cut very poorly, was long in places and short in others, didn't get her paws done as needed, and none of it was blended right. Her nails were also done incorrectly and came out sharper than before. After examining the receipt we found they also unchanged us for a more expensive package without telling us first that the amount would be more than we were originally quoted. We will keep going back to get dog food. But never to have grooming services done other than giver her a bath at their self service area Which myself will do.

Wasted a day! I had one day off, arranged for 2 baby sitting sessions for my child so I could get my dog vaccinated and groomed. I had been asked multiple times if I could provide proof of vaccination, which I could. Only after getting the second sitter if the day, and getting my dog, was I told they wouldn't groom her because they needed 48h after vaccination! This was not on the website, texts or phone calls to confirm the appointment.

I really wish they had a better selection of small animal supplies and toys a lot of stuff for the rabbits is out of stock. they need variety they never have anything new. It’s very boring going in for the small animal section. I always see new things for dogs!

I go here to get cat treats and feeder fish every week, employees are very rude, I was even asked to wait to check out so a young employee could help another employee outside with her car. Also, FISH TANKS HAVE ICK . Be very careful ick will kill a fish if untreated and also if you get feeders can kill a fish from the inside .. I have got ick the last 3 times from this store, fish are very sick with lots of spots !
