I've been going to Pet Paws for many years and have always loved it. With the move to the new space, I had a bad experience. The price went from $170 in July 2023 for 2 dogs to $295 in March 2024, yet I asked for the same grooming I'd asked for for years. And, the dogs didn't receive the haircut I asked for (I wanted close to a shave). The topping on the experience was the long wait (7:15pm) with promises of "20 more minutes" that turned into 2 hours. I wanted to let the owner know of the experience I'd had, and went in person to see her the next day, but she wasn't there. The receptionist was very kind and took my number and said she'd have her call me, but instead the groomer called, and gave me the same spiel I had received the night before (she needs some training on how to make a customer feel heard).I was disappointed the owner didn't want to talk to me. I actually wish for her success, and wanted it to be a constructive and helpful conversation. And I wanted to be heard. I was also disappointed the groomer didn't look for the dogs' card that contained info on the grooming they received in the past.All that to say, the most of the folks are kind and love the dogs. However, go in knowing prices and how best to communicate what you want to the actual groomer.

Marquanna was such a delight to meet and she took such great care of my Nova girl. 10/10 definitely recommend. If I could give more then 5 stars I would. I had never taken my dog to any groomer before and she made me feel very comfortable about the whole situation. Will definitely be back!!!

Highly recommend 10/10 Marquanna! She was amazing and took the time to get to know our baby! He is usually very skittish around strangers but she took the time to let him get comfortable with her and he absolutely loved her!! She took the time to ask questions regarding the type of cut we wanted and he looked absolutely amazing when we picked him up! Prices are very reasonable! I highly suggest booking with this wonderful lady!

We took our 2 goldendoodles here for grooming. They turned out better than we could have ever expected. The staff there were very pleasant and welcoming to both us and our furbabies. We were beyond pleased with how our babies turned out. Not to mention some of the most reasonable prices as well! Thank you so much for treating our babies so well and doing such a great job. We plan to be life long customers now after our great experience here. 🐾

The staff are really friendly and professional. Plus, they don't lock up your dogs when grooming but allow them to roam freely indoors. The place is clean and your pets smell wonderful afterwards. This is by far the best grooming place I've taken my pets to!

I cannot recommend Pet Paws grooming enough. They were referred to us and I’m so glad they were. Although a wait to get in, well worth it. Our dog Cooper had a terrible experience at our last groomer and Pet Paws made him feel comfortable and he had himself a day with the other dogs in there. Cooper looks AMAZING and smells amazing. This is the best cut I have ever had with him. Thank you all so much. We love you guys!

Where do I began with how happy I am with the way both my dogs turned out, this was my first time coming here and it is by far one of the best grooming places I've ever taken my babies. Out of all the groomers I've been to my long hair border collie looked the best here. The people here are also so friendly and very professional!

Amy does an amazing job grooming my poodle. He’s always excited to see her and he comes home looking and smelling like a million bucks. Pet Paws is the only place I would take my pet for all it’s grooming needs!

Marquanna did an amazing job with my dog Moose! His previous owners had let a good amount matting develop, but she had no problem keeping his coat fluffy and beautiful. Whether you’re a new dog owner or just looking for a groomer, I highly recommend you take your dog to Marquanna!

After a traumatizing experience elsewhere, we weren’t sure how Knox would do back at the groomer. We certainly didn’t have to worry with the wonderful staff at Pet Paws - he came back happy, looking sharp, and wore out from playing with all the other dogs during the day! Would recommend to anyone

I am terribly upset about my experience with Pet Paws. Today was my second visit, and there will definitely be no more in the future. I took my dog in and asked that they not pluck his ears as requested by my veterinarian due to the excessive amount of hair growth he has. When I picked him up today, not only has ALL of the hair been pulled from his ears, I can tell at least two of his nails were cut into the quick. He has a cut on his belly which I assume is from a clipper blade. His bottom has been shaved excessively and he smells of anal gland. When discussing haircuts, I explained that I like him shaggy. The attached photos speak for themselves. It is not the cut that I am so upset about, but I am furious that my animal was harmed while in their care.

Updated review:Still 5 stars, too bad I can't give more. I started coming to pet paws for the self service dog wash, which is great. Over the years they have continually improved the experience through providing better supplies and a recent renovation. It's a very nice place.Within the last few years I've gotten lazy and started letting their groomers take care of my dogs. My only regret is not doing that sooner. My dogs both love Victoria (she loves them also) and always come home clean, happy, and best of all tired from a full day of playing. They look and feel far better than when I wash them as well.Victoria's schedule is usually booked a few weeks out. She's that busy because she's that good.Original review:Nothing fancy here, but its a great alternative to pricy full service dog salons, and it certainly beats washing the mutt in the back yard with a garden hose! They have everything you need, shampoos, towels, blow driers, brushes, etc.The $20 they charge to wash a big dog is a bit steep, but again, it's better than the alternatives.

We took our big dog here for a self-serve bath. We loved it! It was clean, the employees were friendly, and our dog was calmer than he has ever been while we dried him. It’s a wonderful atmosphere. If I did not love my groomer so much, I would take my little dogs there to be groomed!

From the reviews I was expecting something out of this world. The shampoo is so watered down that you have to use half the bottle to wash it. Customer service was nice. Overall, K would suggest going to PetValu as their offering is in a cleaner environment and cheaper ($10 vs $15). The owner does offer a grooming area with lots of tools to groom all kinds of dogs. Unfortunately, will not be returning as it was a bigger than washing at home.

I absolutely love using Pet Paws for all my dog grooming needs. They have several wash stations to accommodate multiple self-serve clients at one time. Everything you need to wash your dog is available right at your fingertips. I also use their groomers when it's time for my precious pooch to get a hair cut and he always looks so handsome!

Helen at Pet Paws is Amazing! She works her magic with our German Shepherd, who now sheds less, and her coat is so soft. I never knew it was possible. And to top it off, our dog enjoys her spa day, because it is a fun play day as well. My only regret is I didn't find Helen sooner!

My dog usually is pulling me out of the door when I pick her up from a groomer. When I picked her up from her first visit here, she didn't know if she really wanted to leave. She enjoyed playing with the other dogs too. One of the best parts of this particular grooming business is that they don't cage. They have excellent groomers. I highly recommend giving this place a try.

It's was so quick and easy! Was my first time at a pet bath business and the staff and owner could not have been more helpful, friendly, and just nice. I would absolutely reccomend them to all dog owners. It cost $15.00 and they supply everything you could possibly need. After your first visit the rest our $10.00 if you give them a review. Trust me you would not have a negative word to say upon leaving with your clean, happy, heavenly smelling dog.Today 5-22 they told me 25 to groom him and they charged me 65.00Bull s***!

My wife Sierra and I have a Weston and a rescue and we love the idea of self service and they also have great groomers too.. The Staff was very nice and welcoming.. Pups aren't caged here either which is nice too. We will definitely go back!

I will never set foot in this establishment again. Made a Friday appointment for premium grooming service. Arrived on time, filthy dog in tow, only to be told my appointment was for Saturday. Staffer had clearly been looking at the wrong date when she put me in the book.I was willing to reschedule, but I had to do something immediately about my filthy dog. She told me I was welcome to do the self-service wash, but I would have to pay full price for it, as well as the appointment the following day. She was unwilling to comp me the self-service to make up for her mistake. Nor was she was willing to credit the cost of the self-service toward my bungled premium grooming.And... she repeatedly blamed me for her schedule error! I asked her, "What ever happened to 'The customer is always right?' " Her response? A sarcastic, "I think I'm pretty good at keeping track of the schedule."Well, she has one less customer to keep track of.

This place is AMAZING! I had a foster pup that was in desperate need of a really good bath and after failing to get her smelling good at home I took her to Pet Paws. The ladies there were so sweet and helped us get started making sure we had everything she needed to get her confidence back. We got her all cleaned up and her toenails trimmed. They were so kind to us and when I went to leave told us fosters are on the house and to make sure to get the pup a treat. These ladies made my day. They truly love what they do and it shows. I can't wait to go back.

They did a great job grooming my Australian Shepherd mix! I loved that they do not kennel your pet (unless requested), so he/she gets plenty of playtime with other friendly dogs. The groomer was very nice and you can tell that she loves dogs. Also, VERY AFFORDABLE!

I’m able to drop off my Woodford before I go into work and they are super accommodating about me picking him up later. He doesn’t get caged and runs around like a maniac all day so he’s good and worn out when he gets home. On top of the Ms. Helen does an amazing job on his cut. You can not beat the price anywhere in Lexington for the service. Can not recommend them enough!!
