First arriving to the clinic the entrance is different than most because it is around the side of the building but that’s alright! The staff are all so quick to help and friendly and a special shout out to the receptionist! She is one of the kindest and most patient people I have ever spoken with when it come to me asking my millions of questions about my animals! The veterinarian Dr.Godman is also a very kind and patient person when it comes to animals and I will always trust bringing my animals to this location for any services they may need! They are also all willing to take their time and call you to let you know when your animal is finished with surgery and how they are waking up which is a big plus for me as well! Thank you Locust trace veterinary clinic!

The staff and vets are very nice, friendly, and professional. The visit took a little longer than expected. About 2 hours for two cats, but we had not been to the vet since before the pandemic and they were overdue for shots and checkups so I'm hoping the length of the visit was because they were being so thorough. They took each cat to the back to check them and give them shots, which I have never experienced before. Usually, this is done in front of us. When the vet came in for the first time, he immediately started talking to us about our cats without introducing himself, so I didn't catch his name, but he was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. All in all, a great first experience and we look forward to going back annually with our fur balls.

We have been bringing our kitties there about 7 years and recently added a dog. Dr. Godman is Very caring and thorough and explains everything to us. The entire office staff is friendly and helpful. We wouldn't take them anywhere else.

Our pup had his 1st visit at Locust Trace. Although we had to wait in the care due to Covid-19 restrictions, Dr. Goodman came out to explain everything to us before and after. He and his assistant made sure we understood everything and gladly answered any questions we had. Excellent customer service!!!

My poor little Hope was feeling so bad! Dr Godman was great and explained thoroughly everything he recommended for her. I left feeling comfortable that everything that could be done for her at that moment had been done. Surgery is next for her and I am very much at ease knowing she will be in good hands!

My 13 year old cat Izzy was limping and having a hard time getting around, she looked very stiff in her back and her hair was getting a bit matted there. We were worried she needed surgery, but the vet started her on a monthly injection for arthritis and now she is jumping up on the furniture and acts a lot more comfortable and happier, which makes me happier

This place is amazing!! The staff always treat me and my furbabies like we are family!! Katie is the sweetest, friendliest, most helpful and knowledgeable receptionist ever. Not to mention Dr. Godwin, who went out of his way to help me get the treatment my Yorkie needed, when I would never have been able to afford it elsewhere! Dr. Godwin is very knowledgeable and always explains things in a way anyone can understand. He has never pushed me to have expensive tests and treatments if he thought we could try something less expensive without compromising my dogs health. I always trust Dr. Godwin to make the right decision for my furry friends because I know he will always try the least invasive things first! Treatment here is always top notch and quite a bit more affordable than other vets in Lexington!! I would never take my dogs anywhere else!

I had just adoptedaa rescue from LHS so I didn't know what to expect when taking my new buddy to the vet. The staff was friendly and patient with us, the vet made my pet and me both feel very comfortable and was great with educating me on the beat ways to take care of my new pet from skin and having issues, to food choices and immunizations. Very happy with my choice and would highly recommend them to anyone!

Amazing and very impressed. Went to Dr. Godman for a second opinion and I decided to move the care of my 3 animals to this clinic. He spent 1.5 hours with me and Skippy after a tumor was found which could be malignant. He was very kind and understanding and did research for me on our options. Highly recommend!!

Today was my first time visiting Locust hill. They helped me get my cat in, who I could tell was very ill. Unfortunately I had to say goodbye to him today, but the staff were incredible. The doctor explained everything plainly and laid out all of my options. They made a horrible situation bearable and we're so compassionate. I would definitely return to this clinic.

Our Maltese had to have some teeth extracted. Dr. Godman took the time to patiently explain everything and answer any questions after the surgery and what we should do post recovery. Staff was friendly and caring. Our pooch is recovering well!! Very pleased and this is our new veterinarian office!

Both of our long haired dachshunds needed to be seen for non-routine care this past year. One was for what ended up being a mass removal. Dr. Godman and the staff were always so helpful and understanding. As providers my husband and I also really appreciated the in depth explanation on treatment options as well as consistent follow ups by phone to check on our pups. Nothing but great experiences here. They really love animals and it shows. I called because I thought my small doxie who is a patient had eaten garlic and they spoke with me for 15 plus mins and even handed me off to the vet for further questions.

I am a first time pet owner and my Yorkie, Ms. Tiffany, had gotten sick immediately after I brought her home; I was a nervous wreck. I found Locust Trace online and it was a godsend. The staff was extremely professional and helped to alleviate my fears.Dr. Godman and staff spent time explaining what was wrong with my little girl and answering a battery of questions. Ms. Tiffany received excellent care, and seemed like a different puppy by the time we got home. She has found her fur-ever vet.

This place is so caring and thorough. Prices are great. I don't leave my dogs unless my heart and instincts are at ease. And I instantly felt comfortable here. They had dentals done and for 2 dogs it cost less than 1 dog dental I had at their previous vet! Love them all here.

Finding a new vet after our move to Lex was a worry, but when our dog became sick, it was stressful. We had a great experience today. Dr. Godman was awesome, taking a lot of time with us and truly explaining things. The tech, Liz, was awesome, too. You can tell they love animals and love their work. Very professional, very knowledgeable. Thank you.On a side note, I noticed a negative review from three weeks ago concerning someone named Shannon. Looking at their website, it appears there is only one Shannon who works there. Seeing the display they had on the desk there, Shannon has breast cancer. Maybe she had a bad day that day. Sometimes we need to take into consideration that those we find rude may be dealing with some significant issues that they just can’t overcome that day. A little charity goes a long way. We will pray for you, Shannon.

I take both of my elderly cats to Locust Trace. One of my cats has kidney disease and has to have blood work done regularly. She gets very stressed out when she goes to the vet. The first time we visited Locust Trace to have Daisy's blood work done, I was amazed out how calm she was when they brought her back to me after the blood work. This was a first. I knew then this was the place I could trust to take my precious fur babies. They obviously care very much for animals. I would highly recommend you take your pet here. Oh and the prices are also very reasonable...this is from someone who has to take their cat to the vet on a regular basis!

I never do Post I'm older and this electronic stuff just doesn't seem interesting to me but these people know their business love animals they're Fair on pricing and I've had two of my dogs taking care of by then and I'm going to drive from Somerset next week to have them take care of my other dog it's worth the drive no matter where you live they're phenomenal

I've been going to Locust Trace Vet for 5 years. They are all great in this office. Dr. Godman is a truly caring and has called me on the weekend to check on my dog after he was diagnosed with diabetes. I happen to think they are the Best in town!!!!

I've went to several places and I liked this one the most. I love that it's easy to get to and have lots of parking places. My dog didn't like it at first but the workers were so kind that he actually calmed down for the rest of the visit. It's not crowded and they usually take you back at your appointment time. I would recommend this place to friends.
