Dr. Birky is gentle and patient with both the pets and the pet parents' concerns and questions. Our new kittens are in good hands!

I tell everyone to go to Brighton. Everyone there is so kind, and they treat my cats like their own! Some of my cats are skittish and the vet is always so patient and doesn’t force them to do anything. Definitely the nicest vet I’ve taken my babies to.

We absolutely love Brighton Animal Clinic. We’ve been coming here for years and the care and love towards our Bear is unmatched! The staff is so friendly and caring, and the groomers always do a wonderful job. We live outside of town now but still make the drive here because there really is no place like this around.

Can’t say enough good about our Brighton family! Carson is always so excited to see all of his girls and I trust that when I have to leave him, he is in the very best of hands! They are also very patient with me and all of my questions and concerns (especially Dr. Walden, his primary Vet). I never feel rushed or dismissed, even though they’re always so busy! Cannot recommend Brighton Animal Clinic enough. While my husband and I were in town over Christmas, our sweet 7 year old yorkie went into kidney failure after rapidly progressing kidney disease. They squeezed us in in 30 minutes, an hour before close, despite having no appointments. They were beyond gentle and understanding. Our vet offered us wise counsel and advised regarding potential intervention options as well as what would be best for our girls quality of life. The vet listened to everything we had to say about our girls behavior and was not dismissive whatsoever. After lots of consideration with the doctor, we scheduled an appointment the next day at 4:30 for our girl to cross her rainbow bridge.She took a turn for the worst before her appointment and they told us to call them if that happened and we could come in whenever we needed. They were so accommodating and understanding. They genuinely had her best interest at heart. When we walked in their waiting room, they had a candle lit for us next to a sign that read “If this candle is lit someone is saying goodbye to their beloved pet, please speak gently and with respect during this difficult time. We appreciate your patience and understanding.” I was blown away by the consideration and kindness in this action.They were very very communicative and explained the process to us in detail every step of the way. They allowed for lots of privacy and lots of time, we never felt rushed. They offered our girl some treats they had in the back as a send off moment. They gave us a door bell ringer to push whenever we were ready for her time to come. Once we pressed it, they came in and put in the IV catheter and left to give us more time. When we pushed it again, the doctor and tech came in and allowed us as much time as needed before giving her her sedative. Once the sedative was given, they allowed us to let them know when we felt ready for her overdose.After her passing, I held her for as long as I wanted with no rush. They asked if we would like a lock of her hair and we declined but it was a very kind ask. We brought clay to take her paw prints and the tech was so accommodating and helpful in getting her prints. She even trimmed her nails and her paw pads before getting her prints. They put us in a room with a side door to provide some additional privacy in our exit. We had a couch and rocking chair and lots of tissues in our room as well, to provide some extra comfort. They are very thoughtful and intentional in all their little details.Unfortunately, my husband and I live an hour and a half from Lexington so it won’t be feasible to make Brighton our regular vet for future dogs. However, I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Brighton to anyone in the Lexington area, especially for older dogs and their end of life care. Brightons visit cost is very reasonable, especially compared to other Lexington offices. My family is very thankful for such a kind office to care for our sweet girl when her time came.

I am very happy with the care and service Griffin and Willow receive at Brighton Animal Clinic. I never worry about them when they are in Brighton's care. The staff members at the front desk are always friendly and provide easy communication. Susan, Isabelle, and Hannah do a wonderful job with grooming and bathing and are very thorough. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and very thorough in their exams and care for my pets. I couldn't be more pleased.

Just a wonderful experience at Brighton Animal Clinic. It is clear that all of the docs, nurses, and staff really care about you and your pet. I could not find anyone else to treat my 19 1/2 year old dog's cancer, and Dr. Montgomery and the others at Brighton helped me find specialists and did the best they could for my little old man. I'll be forever grateful and will take the rest of my furbabies here.

Groomers and vets are excellent. My 3 dogs are always happy to go for their appointments - so they're obviously well treated while there. The groomers do an incredible job; the dogs always come back looking and smelling great (and one is a fine, long haired Spaniel and the other who is a challenge to groom is a 97lb Great Pyranees with a major undercoat). The third, a lab mix probably requires less effort to groom but they get her looking great, too. I'm very appreciative of their efforts and the kindness they all show my dogs.

We have been with Dr. Montgomery for over 20 years. She has provided excellent care for all of our dogs, including saving the life of one suffering a heat stroke (who is still with us 10 years later!), and crying with us as we had to make difficult end-of-life decisions for others. We can't imagine going anywhere else for our primary vet care needs.

Friendly, caring and efficient staff and veterinarians, especially both Lisa’s , Ashleigh and Dr. Montgomery. I highly recommend this clinic. They have been taking care of all my animals for 14 years. Saved my cat’s life by removing a cancerous fibrosarcoma tumor with clear margins 5 years ago. Dr.Montgomery spent many hours after her busy clinics discussing the plan of care, arranging consultations and seeking advise for my beloved dog for 1 yr before he passed. She loved him and helped me throughout a very difficult year. I will never forget her kindness, compassion and expert clinical skills.

Dr. Montgomery is God’s gift to my animals. That isn’t meant to be glib. It’s accurate. She is knowledgeable, insightful, experienced, professional and articulate. I came here for my cat. She had a swollen lip and was not eating correctly. I had another vet across town that was becoming super expensive and had to do all these other test before we even reached the lip issue. So I set out to find a new vet. I had called 2 others before here, one was closed for some reason for the week. The other never returned my call.Finally I found Brighton, and boy am I glad. They called me back in within the hour I called (I didn't have a life threating issue with my cat). Got me in that day. They didn't push anything on me. They were nice welcoming, and knowledgeable. They got my cat back to her old self within an affordable budget. They even called to make sure she was doing fine after she came home.My old vet actually gave me trouble moving my files over (just confirming I made the right choice). I am so so glad I found Brighton and I will take my pets here from now on.

Always been very accommodating, easy to make a convenient appt. Staff very friendly & knowledgeable, incl. Doctors. Facility and rooms are always very quiet, clean and calming. The most recent appt I was glad they did everything in the exam room and explained what they were doing, allowing me to tell them what I have found works best for her restraint-wise so Pearl would be more comfortable! (I've been to some clinics where they whisk them off to the back & return w my dog very panicked & panting and I had no clue what they had done or how and it's very distressing for both of us). I am very happy to have found somewhere my dog enjoys walking in & don't have to coax her thru the doors! Overall great experiences each time! Thank you!

I love these people most importantly my puppies love them. They make you feel like your family. My dogs had there teeth cleaned there. One of them does not do well with anesthesia and they customized her treatment plan to meet her needs. They go above and beyond to make your pet relax and have a pleasant experience. My dogs start barking in excitement as soon as we turn the corner they can’t wait to see them. They offer a grooming service that is great too. They have a special cat day which is great because one of my babies likes to chases cats.....so we don’t go on those days lol. They make house calls too the list is endless

Brighton is fantastic. Our fur babies have become quite needy in the last few years and Brighton has been great through it all, they know our dogs by name and they know how to make them feel comfortable even if they aren't feeling to well. They know when to refer out and are constantly up to date on new treatments and ideas. We absolutely love it here.
