The staff at LVC is phenomenal! Regardless of my reasoning for bringing any of may animals to them, they take care of them as if they were there own. For a small town vet, they are always very busy, but will do everything they can to see their patients if they’re able too. I’ve had multiple experiences being an appointment and doing a walk-in and each time, I’ve been grateful that there’s been someone to at least see my animal and make sure they get what they need. Every doctor explains things to me in a way that I understand and handles my pets like they’re theirs. Could things be done to make the process easier or faster, probably… but I’d rather go somewhere that I know will do everything they can and will refer me on to a specialist if needed.

Adapted a kitten from Leitchfield/Grayson Co Humane Society. Turns out, 3 days later he was very, very sick and would of most likely of been dead if Vet's office hadn't of gotten us in right away. Minimal wait time, staff extremely helpful, caring and knowledgeable. The Veterinarian was AMAZING and so gentle with our little boy even though he was a wild thing that day. New patient but now forever patient. If your animal is important to you, I highly recommend trying this clinic. Thank you for saving our BB!

I was thrilled when I thought I found a reliable vet close to our new home in Clarkson - man was I wrong! I first took my dog in when he started to develop "bumps" on his skin and coat, I was told it was nothing to worry about, gave him his vaccines and away we went. Went back a few months later when my bully pulled his ACL (whatever it is in dogs) and after x-rays found he had hip dysplasia too - started meds but was told they were not a long term solution. Tried to get back in to see the vet we like, she was on leave. Finally couldn't wait any longer, booked appointment, arrived 10 minutes early like good clients do, and sat in the waiting room for 72 minutes before finally asking to reschedule, no one at any time told any of us waiting in excess of one hour that they were that far behind schedule! Rescheduled for 0900, FIRST am appointment, how could they be late for that. Sat in the office in an exam room for 45 minutes before abruptly leaving - all I got was, "she hasn't been in yet"... I am not sure if my cash isn't good enough for their establishment, if they don't want to do business with me because I am not a "local" or if they have some bias against my bully breed. Just consider this a note, that if you book an appointment, clear your entire day because you could sit there for HOURS and never get your pet looked at. I have shared my comments with the office and they don't seem to care -

Dr Brittany Grimes did an amazing job with my cat. The staff were super friendly and courteous. On a previous visit my girlfriend had to have her dog euthanized and everyone was amazing on that visit too.

Unfortunately this is the second time this vet has misdiagnosed a pet in our family and said that a dog needed a total hip replacement. I made an appointment to get a simple xray on my dog because she was limping. Said it was no problem and made me an appointment. Dr. Felicia performed the xray which appeared to be blurry from where my dog wasn’t even being still and she proceeds to tell me she recommends a total hip replacement that would range from $20,000-$40,000. Of course I am frantic, call for two other opinions from orthopedic surgeons and both verify that this was absolutely incorrect, her hips are fine, she has a torn CCL in her knee and needs knee surgery which costs $2,500. At the second vet I went to, they even sedated my dog so that they could get ACCURATE X-rays, they spent the time reviewing them, and gave me recommendations on what to do. Both vets I went to could not believe that leitchfield told me it was her hips. I understand that they have new vets, but when I pay $256 for a visit, I atleast would love to have accurate information, or atleast tell me that you don’t know what’s wrong and it would be best to get a second opinion. I was also given pain meds for her (which I was fine with buying) but given NO background on why or even what meds I was being charged for until I asked!! I think this vet has many great workers, but they have time and time again failed when it came to X-rays. If you need anything other than simple surgeries or basic medicines, I would save my $250 and go elsewhere so you don’t end up paying three vets just to be told that leitchfield was wrong.

Go anywhere else. These guys force you to get a kennel cough vaccine if you are going to get your dog spayed/neutered,they also charged me,and vaccinated my dog 2 times for parvo,and rabies when I clearly put on the paper that my golden was already fully vaccinated. I utilized my county's 35 dollar spay/neuter voucher program,and was forced to use these guys, because all of the vouchers for my vet in munfordville were sold out. The whole point of the vouchers are to help the public,but these guys tack on so much more that's it's not even worth it. Better off going to my reg vet and paying full price for what I paid with them. Very money hungry. Stay clear. Zero stars if I could.

They don't care about taking care of livestock. They barely want to give a dog a shot and that's about it. They are over priced for livestock emergencies for like I brought one of my cows that was having a difficulties trying to have a calf and I thought she was trying to have it and I took her there to see if it was stuck in her and there wasn't a calf in her and they charged me $50 for that. That is ridiculous. That's why im going over to roe-burke veterinary clinic because they are just femnominal with animals small and large.

Their medicine is way too high. Don't ever pay them with a check they take months before they cash it then when you get on to them about it they get rid of you as a client. he is a bad business manager the owner of this place

The front staff was very friendly. Our vet was very soft spoken, caring, friendly, I can't say enough. He didn't just rush in and out of the room. He actually took time with our Chief. Would highly recommend them. They actually care about you fur baby!

The vets and workers were having a good old time laughing and cutting up while I waited 20 minutes beyond my appointment. They put me and my sick dog in a room and left us waiting while they told jokes and took lunch orders. I was the only person there at the time, and it was very unprofessional. So disrespectful.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. I would like to give a higher rating, but the place was in need a heavy cleaning. There are normal vet smells and mess, but this was much more excessive. Even the chairs in the exam rooms were filthy.

Called and asked how much puppy shots were they said $34. After the visit I had paid almost $70. I have a German Shepherd almost 4 months old. Overheard them saying she's malnourished but she's 31.6 lbs. A 4 month German Shepherd is supposed to weight between 31-35lbs. Not only is she 3 days and 1/2 lb ahead of schedule she literally has an unlimited supply of food which I know isn't recommended but with her metabolism and our high energy exercises with our kids it's recommended not to try to keep them from "getting fat" at such a young age. As I watched many walk-ins come and go her and I enjoyed my day off in their lobby over their ignorant bias (literally 4 hours). Luckily we did make it to the park for an HR or 2 but not the day I had planned to enjoy with my pup. Which makes me wonder if I was overcharged over the same ignorant bias as well. Should've listened to the guy tell me to get puppy shots for $15 at tractor supply instead. 10/10 DO NOT recommend. I have receipts and this copied to my clipboard if need be. It will be heard.

While visiting our cat became very sick. When we called we were told if we could be there by 10:30 am they could see us. We made it just in time! Dr. Ray and the staff were amazing, tried very hard with Blackie but after 2 days we decided to let him go. I highly recommend!! 10☆'s or more.

Over priced for a vet clinic. I understand that this is a place to bring animals but it shouldn't smell like a barn as soon as you walk in. Every other clinic I have been to was still clean at least. Waited over an hour to be seen while others were coming in and being seen in the lobby while I waited in a tiny, dirty room. Had a bill for almost $400 for nothing. No thank you. Will not be bringing my pets here ever again. I'd rather make the drive to Shepherdsville to see their previous vet. Much friendlier staff, cheaper pricing, clean facility, and overall just better care.

Took my dog in for a second opinion. The staff was excellent!! I had a certain budget I had to stay within, and to my surprise, my dog was treated as if she was the President's dog and Dr. Todd Ray was awesome!! He actually listened to what the problem was instead of just giving my dog a script and out the door we go. For the 1st time I can honestly say I felt a million% confident that Dr Ray and his staff really are in business for the best wellbeing of your pet and you and not look at or treat you like a 💰💰 we are most definitely coming back. Thank u Dr Ray and your team you all are amazing!!

The veterinarian is good, does a good job. But the staff there....showed up soon as they opened was told come back at 1:30 for a walk-in because they were booked with appointments until may sometime.So I call when I get there (like the sign says) the one whom answered the phone was kinda rude. She asked what vehicle I was in and said someone will be out in a few minutes to get us. 2hrs. Later... nothing. My opinion it would be pointless unless you can see the future and tell when something is going to happen with your pet.EXAMPLE 2:neighbor dog attacked mine the owner drove us to vet I came home and before I made it they had released my girl to the someone else!Now I love this girl more than anything! Saved me from myself 100x!.....thumbs down!! But the dr. Is good and nice....communicates well

Unfortunately we had to put our beloved COWBOY of 15 years to sleep. He was not only a great dog but was very much a part of our family he had a good life and he was world traveler he went everywhere with us. We miss him everyday but take comfort in knowing he is at peace. The employees at leitchfield veterinary were so kind to us and cowboy. Thanks ever so much!!

I'm a first time petowner and was calling about cost. They don't know how to answer the phone and it's like an automated message that puts me automatically on hold. I was put on hold 4 times just to be hung up on. Do not recommend. If they can't treat their patients owners with the respect of answering their questions, they won't treat your animals with respect. Will be finding another veterinarian that is unfortunately out of town.

Pros and cons.Pros was that I did not have to wait when I brought our cat in to get fixed. They weren't busy and the place was easy to get to and the staff mostly friendly.Cons- it was more money than quoted. A cone was extra. Pain meds extra. Staying overnight extra. And they were pretty lax when it came to cleaning or taking care of the incision on our cat. Just kinda, 'heres the cat, now leave' mentality.Won't be going back unless it's an emergency with any other of our animals

HIGHLY INCAPABLE! We moved to the area and transferred all records and made an appointment for a wellness check and microfilaria test. 1. They cut my dog's wick so bad she cried like I've never heard and bled a lot! 2. They don't know how to send a microfilaria test out to a lab. They think if they look into a microscope and don't see adult worms then there aren't traces of baby worms in the body. 3. They won't approve a prescription electronically or paper direct to another company. This one makes me the most mad of all because they are supposed to help with healthcare not compromise it. I called 3 times and was told something different each time and ultimately they wouldn't do it so I had to go back to my previous vet to approve and my dog will be late in getting her routine heart worm medicine.

Three HUNDRED STARS!! They saw us without an appointment; fixed my sweet kitty right up; and stayed past their closing time to make sure he was ok.They're professional, explain everything, and offer different options for care.I strongly urge you to get an appointment, if at all possible, but if it can't wait, then they'll see you as a drop-in.They were great.
