Whose bright idea was it to replace the carts with smaller ones? Anyone with a baby cannot go to Kroger without pushing a second cart now. Also, I tried to leave and the cart locked the wheels. Guess I’ll need a babysitter if I want to go to the grocery next time.

This place right here is the worst place to shop or even to work at. The manager will steal from you you leads don't care about you and will schedule you pasted you're available. And to be honest this is the nastiest Kroger of all. Rotten meat in dry good open food on shelves even. Like they sure keep it clean.

Moved our pick up time and then boy loading our groceries placed a heavy 24 can case on top of frozen pizza crushing all of them. Can't wait for Publix.

This place is fantastic! They have some great staff, I left my phone at the store by mistake but didnt realize it until after closing time. The manager on duty went above and beyond the call of duty to ensure my phone was located and safely in my hands. Overall a great place to get almost anything you need

Personally, I have never been a fan of Kroger but if I am trying to find something that other stores may not have, or I forgot an ingredient that I need for dinner then I will go here. This location overall is clean and well maintained the few times I have been to this one, but not all the staff is friendly or helpful. I am not saying the entire staff is unfriendly but there are a few that seem to really hate their job and maybe that is due to management. If you have bad management and they treat the employees awful, then you can’t expect much. The pharmacy here is a joke and the reason I would never use it. Someone really needs to work on that aspect of Kroger for sure.Drive thru pharmacies is convenient but there should be guidelines to using them and making them efficient, but that isn’t the case here. The drive thru is great if you are getting a refill, and you want to pick it up or you are dropping off a prescription to be filled. I believe that if they haven’t already requested the refill or they are having a new prescription filled then they should be told to pull out of the drive thru and come inside or come back a short time later rather than hold up the line. Will Kroger do that? NOPE and that is why the pharmacy drive thru is ridiculously long. Pathetic!That is my opinion of Kroger, and some may not agree with me and that is ok.

This place is OK. Comparing this business to others, in my opinion this Kroger is pretty good. All the people who gave negative reviews should ask themselves how others review their work. Probably, thumbs down.

Have been going here for over 20 years and i am shocked at how rude and entitled the older generation acts. They are the first people to complain but yet they are first ones to not say "excuse me "

5 years ago this was the best store around. It was well stocked and the people were friendly. Wow how things have changed. They're clearly focus stocking to please the distracted, rude, aisle blocking students who pick orders for customers who no longer want to shop in the store. The aisles keep getting moved around so often you spend half your time searching for where they moved things only to find they dont have it because they're trying something new.They're clearly marketing to things to a much narrower 20 to 30 year old health crazed group of customers now. Everything is strange choose foods. There certainly is no customer loyalty left at this location.

I waited at the pick up for almost an hour the lady tried to give me 3 other peoples orders. I tried calling and talking to a manager and i kept getting put on hold. The pickup lady finally said i can’t find your order I’ll see about refunding your order and get you a gift card. Eventually a manager came out said my order was given away and canceled and that was all they could do unless I wanted to come back tomorrow and they could repick it. So after waiting an hour I left empty handed. Complete waste of my time and gas. I seen at least 3 other cars leave after that lady couldn’t find their orders either, Completely ridiculous.

While I appreciate some of the other local stores, It's really hard to beat the Kroger in independence for selection. The workers always seem helpful if you need them, and the store is always clean.

Just moved to Independence and have never had so many issues with Kroger before. We have done 3 clicklists since moving. 2 have been pushed past out pickup window. 1 pickup I was missing over $100 worth of items. All I get is an “I’m sorry” with no explanation or way to fix/make anything better.Spoke with one of the managers Andy who was very unprofessional. He clearly does not have very good managerial tactics. Seemed as if he enjoyed being no help and talking back very rudely to myself.

kroger pickup here is awful. pickup is supposed to save time and be convenient. everytime i have ordered pickup, it is pushed back 3 hours+. (time spent i could’ve been in and out about 6 times)

So I don't mind shopping here because they usually have everything I need compared to other krogers. But I only have one issue.. I misplaced my wallet yesterday, I guess I left it in the cart, which you know was my fault for not paying attention. So I asked for help from the customer service desk and was told by the younger girl with red hair and glasses that i had to make a police report in order to view the cameras. Which I also get. She was not sincere about it, wasn't nice at all.. then someone turned it in as I was about to leave and when I asked if she seen who it was she nastily replied no.. as if I was being an inconvenience to her. I would like to thank the cashier who was working the self checkout for being so nice and understanding and helping me look. She also purchased a lighter for me because I did not have one. I wish I would have caught her name but I was so upset about everything I didn't. I hope she reads this and I just want to share that this is what real customer service looks like!

My wife and I went to kroger independence on Sunday July 23rd around 4:45pm. There were zero carts available at both entrances to the store! Ridiculous!

They had the isle lights lit up with only a couple cashiers at the registers. An employee motioned me to come to the next register and then walked away. I ended up going to a self serve register. The monitor thanked me and as I was leaving they locked the cart wheels as if I were stealing. If they do not trust customers to ring up and pay, they should not have self serve registers. I resent being treated like a thief.

Terrible customer service, I was overcharged $10 because items did not scan the advertised price per the shelf tag and I was told that the price couldn't be adjusted because the service desk was closed at 8PM. Items frequently scan incorrectly at my local Kroger and it's never been a problem adjusting at the checkout.

The pickup service is so bad the customer service people tell you not to use it. 2 seperate attempts to pick up a clicklist order over 2 different days, and am told I need to come back in the NEXT hour, which I do, and then told it'll be ANOTHER hour and to come back. They don't have enough pickers.

As usual went in to get sugar-free stuff and they didn't have it because apparently they've never heard of diabetics. I would have given no stars but that doesn't seem to be an option. I see a lot of people on here saying this store is always well stocked. They must be getting paid to say that because that is a complete lie. Every time I go they're out of at least one thing that I go there for, most of the time more. There's a lot of times I go there and leave with nothing because they don't have a single thing that I'm looking for. And no matter what they're out of they will blame the vendors for it. Which is a complete lie also because other stores don't have that problem. The independence Kroger's is a joke, not a store.

I often come to this Kroger. They make miner mistakes all the time the are easy to overlook. Usually it’s not a big deal. I recently put in for a quick list and everything looked fine. I later noticed i didn’t receive an item. I looked and made sure it was on the receipt And it was. I called and the lady was rude when I told her the story. I then came to pick the item up and talked to the same lady. Was rude again and told me the would bring the item out when they get a chance. Kept me waiting for 35-40 min. Extremely unhappy.

Usually a pleasant experience. However, the click list employees with their carts clutter the isle ways causing “pile-ups.” (Only if it’s a busy time for regular shoppers). Also, not a very large selection of care products for men (I.e. deodorant, etc.). Other than that, great place!

Shop here on an off usually have decent deals but after I went up here an got dinner to cook got some fresh cooked shrimp outta the seafood area got home an cooked it all together ruined my whole dinner the shrimp was completely nasty like it sat for a few days or something if me an my family would have ate that would have gave us all food poisoning tried to call up there about 4:07 pm today an the lady who answered the phone though it was funny recommended to anyone do not buy seafood from this krogers it will make you sick
