I stop in while in Knott county visiting. I like it because there's a certain amount of nostalgia shopping grocery stores like this. They have a great selection of quality items although the prices are higher than anywhere I've shopped in Lexington.

Since the store is closing soon, they were already running out of items that they usually carry as they are trying to sell their remaining stock. I always bought the spaghetti boxed meal that my son and I like. It is close to what I had when I was a kid. I will have to go to the next town over to get it now as IGA is the only place that carries it.☹️

They always have plenty of people there working. The parking lot and entire store is clean every time I have been there. They have more then enough shopping carts. Every one is always working and busy. Friendly and very helpful if you need it. Everything is always stocked and always have sales going because they have a Save-a-lot close by to compete with. And IGA also honors some of the same deals as Save-a-lot. A good example, the everyday 5 items for $20 deal, IGA has it as well along with a few different name brands and items to choose from. The store has plenty of room in the isle ways to walk and get around. And waiting in line at the check out almost never happens. They have a customer service counter in the very front between both entrances that sells tobacco items and other things you can't get at any other grocery store in the area. They have hand sanitizers at the end of each check out line and entrances and have the clear plastic shields in place at the registers to help protect their customers against the COVID-19 from spreading and other germs, cold, flu, and virus's. IGA has always been a pleasant experience for me and I can't say that about any other store in that area.

Love this place I go there to get cigarettes and groceries and they also have a deli that cooks daily meals and they also bake cakes the people that work there are friendly,nice and respectful they really care about your needs if you haven't been there go check them out I'm 47 years old and I can remember when I was about 8 years old my parents would me there with them to shop I think back then it was called food world and still the same stuff for every day shoppers weekend shoppers are monthly shoppers it's all good do your shopping there and keep the money in our own home town

Have had several instances of food being ruined - meat, ice cream, frozen pizza. The prices are high enough that it's cheaper to drive out of town to shop at Walmart. The store has a pretty bad smell, too. The staff has always been nice, though.

Over priced everything. I am a Kroger fan and I can honestly say a majority of the things I bought Kroger was cheaper. I thought independent Grocers would be more competitive. Clean store, Just overpriced
