This store is AWESOME, outstanding customer service. I can aways find what I need. The staff is amazingly helpful and informative. I visit this store several times during the week and couldn't be more impressed with the level of help and hometown friendliness. They sell and service Stihl brand power equipment and their product support is world-class. Keep up the great work Ace!

Horrible experience two days in a row. First day they made a mistake at the register and I had to wait approximately 15-20min so they could refund what they overcharged, I am patient so I let it go. I called in the next day to see if they had drywall, they said they did so I drove there expecting to buy drywall… when I arrived the guy said they were all out. Waste of my time.

The most expensive hardware store in NKY - especially for Stihl equipment repair. The prices on hardware items are inflated - even the ACE brands are high - I'd love to hear what the average margin/item is in the store.But the Stihl repair pricing is pretty ridiculous IMO. First - I wasn't consulted on what the all-in cost would be before the work was done. Then, after the work had been completed I was quoted the price for parts - the all-in cost including labor was 3x the price I had been quoted. Just a TERRIBLE service experience.What a joy to find the actual price AT CHECKOUT! There's inflation - and there's gouging. I feel like I just got gouged.I would recommend Crescent Springs Hardware instead - great service, work quality, and less expensive! Even with the drive you will save money!UPDATE: SIMILAR REPAIRS PERFORMED AT CRESCENT SPRINGS HARDWARE FOR $25 LESS. NO $50 SURCHARGE MAKES A HUGE DIFFERENCE!

I needed car key copy for Subaru. The staffs were very helpful and friendly, and they answered all my questions. The customer services they provided me were excellent. They've done their job quickly and cost of car key copy were great. My car key has teeth both side and I couldn't get enough help from other stores until I came to Great Lakes Ace. If I could, I want to give them 10 stars. Thank you so much for helping me!

My favorite local hardware store. Everyone is always helpful and friendly! If I can't find what I am looking for or I am not sure exactly what I need, there is always someone willing to help. Sure, some things may cost a tiny bit more than the big box stores but the staff knows their stuff which is rare at big box stores. Always my first place to look for my hardware needs.

They have different stuff that normal hardware stores don't have for instance I got this little live plant and a glass jar with a cork on it that takes care of itself I mean that is the coolest

This store is the best and the staff is even better. Tony, who works for them is a great employee and went above and beyond to help me. Whenever I go there I am pleasantly greeted, but better yet, someone is always there to help me find what I want. I would rather shop there than the bigger hardware stores. The personal service is priceless!! Great job Hebron, KY Ace, you have great people and store!

Andy was great! Walked in with a key and needed 10 more but he wasn't sure of the size or if they had any on hand. Made me 3 and said take these make sure they work and I will get more in by Monday. Went in Monday they found an alternate key got them made and out the door in 10 minutes.Great job ACE Hardware!

I've visited 3 times. They're very convenient and, although not as big as the super stores, I've been extremely satisfied, (even surprised), with their inventory. They've saved me miles and many minutes. I'll always shop here first!

Great little store with competitive pricing. But I felt like the clerk was judging me. My car had broken down in the SpeedWay parking lot next door and I was sweating pretty good although it was 56° outside and the clerk was very quick to find another CSR to assist me. Oh well... Still a great little store.

Great service and selection. They'll sharpen all sorts of blades for you if you go to the back counter. I got my brand new machete with no edge sharpened there for my own ease. He did a great job, but they keep it overnight.

Best customer service I have ever had at a hardware store!!!! Larry was 10/10 amazing. I was buying plexiglass for a home project and needed 10 sheets in an odd size. Larry only had 8 sheets that where close to my size. He cut those sheets down to exactly what I needed and even sanded down the sharp edges. When I went to the Florence location to get my last two sheets of plexiglass, they refused to cut the glass, so I brought it back to the Hebron location and they made it right. They cut it down to size at no charge. This is now my go to hardware store. They are amazing.

There are a lot of reasons why I prefer Ace over the bigger hardware stores, but most of all: CUSTOMER SERVICE!. Something that Ace provides each and every visit.. I visited the Hebron store on 237 today and not only did Ed put the products I called in about aside for me, but took me back to check out more options when I arrived. Now THAT, folks, is quality customer service. It's rare these days and I'm a loyal Ace shopper because of it.

On Nov.19th I went to Great Lakes Ace. I needed a coded chip key for a Jeep Wrangler. The staff at Great Lakes had the chipped key blank and the equipment to encode it to my vehicle. The staff was very friendly and helpful and got the job done (it was pretty complicated) in about 20 minutes at about 1/3 the cost of having a key made at the dealer. A well done to all involved.

This isn't a very big store compared to the size of home Depot. Sometimes you don't need a large store just for a screw or a hinge. This store is a tad more conveniently located than the competitor. Staff are friendly and helpful. With a store like this you don't have to look for someone to help you find the things you need.

Ace struggles against the big chains so prices are higher...but the people are way friendlier then the big stores. Do NOT have them try and "match" a paint color. They lack the equipment and its always way off...go for all your other needs.

Went in to buy a few items and forgot my coupon. I suggested that they have a software program that stored the discounts for the customers. They blew me off for suggesting such a good idea. Every other store offers that service, why can't this store?
