Love steak and shake! ❤️🖤 Wish there were more of these around... The waitress was super busy, but very attentive to all the customers!💙 Same server today, as before, only this time she was even busier. It's like she's the only server they have, but she's really good at it. The best part of my visit today, was the red velvet & Oreo shake that's back on the menu, if only temporarily!!!!!!❤️🖤❤️😳😄😃

Stopped to get some lunch and got 2 value meals. The board said 4/5 dollars a piece. We got drinks because most "meals" come with a drink right? Well our 2 "value" meals were 20 dollars. When we asked why, the drive through worker, meal preparer, and management treated us awful. We were only asking why it was 20 dollars. I know places are understaffed and may deal with some rude customers, but that's not always the case. That ultimately hurts the business and customers stay away from that type of atmosphere. Calm down girls, we're all in the same boat these days.

Today makes twice in the last 3 months that we have tried to dine in. Both times we were seated and the server appeared not so happy to see us. We waited 20 minutes before a menu brought to us and 20 minutes after menu brought and we chose to leave without placing an order. One server yelled at us as we left " we were getting ready to take your order." I understand being short staffed but our times going thru drive through we got those meals very quick. Advise to eat in your car .

Don’t do it! They rush you through the drive through, don’t give you napkins, didn’t give us spoons and then their large fries are more like a small! When I asked for 2 spoons and some napkins I got 1 spoon and 2 napkins. This is not how customer service should be. I know this because I’ve been in customer service for 12 years! I’ll go to Fazoli’s next door on my next trip out.

Stopped for lunch on our way home from visiting my parents. I've been a fan (and a critic) of Steak 'n Shake for 30 years. If you search my reviews you'll find one we stopped at in GA that should be closed, it was poorly run and nasty. BUT...on the opposite end of the spectrum is this exceptionally clean (albeit a newer restaurant) and we'll run restaurant in Hazard. We were greeted immediately by an incredibly friendly young woman, our lunch was fantastic (doubles) and we two perfect peanut shakes to go.

First off I have been to a lot of Steak and Shake restaurants across the state and I have loved them all, but this one has no standards.The food is good but after two bad experiences in two weeks I will never go back. To see why I'm hopping mad see my review on yelp.I will not be treated like this again, I will eat at SaS again in London, Richmond. Elizabethtown, Lexington but never here in Hazard again.

The food was great and our waitress was amazing going out of her way to make sure my niece was happy with her shake and food. She also made my own drink which is quite a complicated order of tea. I loved her and will happily go back just to have her as my waitress again.

Well prepared food and generous portions.Prices are very moderate especially when you factor in the fact it is a gourmet burger made from real meat.Our waitress was exceptional for such a young lady. 70 years old and I had never been to a Steak n Shake. Until today. We got 2 lg coffees and 2 kids chocolate milk. Waited 40 mins and watched another table, that came in 20 mins after us, get their food. When my daughter went up to pay, they couldn't find our order in the system. So for$8.& change, it was a very disappointing experience. My daughter said we'll go again. No thanks, I'll stick to Arby's.

We stopped in on our way home from camping after a big storm, electricity and water had been off for the flooding all around. Drive thru was a mile long but we were pulling trailers so we went inside. No soda, no water, and cash only since the card machine wasn't back online. These people were Makin it happen for the rest of us! Aleya (not sure if I spelled it right) was very kind to us and definitely helped us out by recommending the best options and explaining the water situation. She was the only wait person in the dining area and still she was kind and friendly to everyone that we witnessed walk through those doors. Job well done under stressful situation!!

I’ll give 4 stars because the food is great and depending what staff is working depends on what service you get. One day I went over there and the waitresses working didn’t ask me nothing didn’t even acknowledge that I was in there if it wasn’t for Michael I wouldn’t have gotten my order taken care of so I appreciate him for that.Another day I went in there and there were different people working and they were the nicest most generous people I have met I was in and out.Then one night I went over there and the door was locked there were people eating people in the drive thru and the workers was cooking I stood there hoping to be told something I mean if your closed at that point I should have been informed but I wasn’t the 3 waitresses was at the register and they turned around and walked where they hang their tickets at I stood there and said okay and left I was highly upsetI get it fast food can be hectic but every customer should be taken care of.I swore I wouldn’t go back but I did I couldn’t stay away because the food is great that last night it was a mix of the workers who didn’t acknowledge me and the nice workers and I was taken care of.Like I said the food is great!!!! Depending on who’s working depends on if you have a good experience or not!!!

This location just opened, so I understand that the wait will be 30+ for food. I just wish I could get it hot? You would think that waiting for so long meant that the fries would be fresh/the burger would be hot. I do really love the garlic burger when it’s fresh. I think this location will be better after some of the buzz dies down and it’s not constantly busy.

Former employee speaking. Just quit Saturday night of this previous week. This restaurant is ran very corruptly. Employees do not get the their mandated breaks but management will go into the computers and change the time cards so as to state that the breaks were taken so that the allotted time is not paid to you.The employees do not get paid. There are currently employees here that still haven't been paid for the first opening week even though the restaurant made $62000 profit in the first week. Hours are illegally cut out of employee checks and servers receive checks for mere pennies and are expected to serve with a smile.You have to wait an hour or more for your food and who the hell wants to wait that long on a burger and fries so customers have been getting up and walking out which again is understandable. However when you do this the management forces the servers to pay for your food and are not allowed to leave until they have done so.The Royale burger is pretty good though, just saying.

The waiting staff was great, especially Alexandria. She did her job to the best of her ability whereas the management was downright rude and the cooks were seen cooking without gloves. The food was cold and half the fries were raw. They had also somehow ran out of shakes. If the people in charge read this, your management could use some new people.

They can be suuuper slow at times. Especially a little later into the night. (7pm or so) Otherwise the food is great and the workers are respectful.One time the cashier took my card and walked to the back of the store... I don't like that.

First and last time at this restaurant. Had to give my order 3 times and it was still wrong when I got home. The buns were old. The hamburger, fries, and bacon looked like they had been fried for hours. The only good part of the meal was my grandsons milkshake.

The table was disgusting when we arrived. It took 20 minutes to just get napkins. At that point I was ready to get a good steak burger. Unfortunately, after another 10 minutes I received a cold meal. The fries were good...

Have the best milkshakes and the burgers are pretty great themselves . The staff have always greeted with big smiles and the overall cost of their meals cannot be beat. Love Steak 'n Shake and will return again and again....
