The outside entrance and overall appearance of this small grocery store is rather dingy, no doubt because of the old building. However, the inside is what matters most for a grocery store, and the inside was clean and organized. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the freshly-cut steaks that day; none of the meat looked old or gray. That's impressive for a cheap grocery store. However, the $7.75/hr minimum wage for most of its employees and this establishment's near-total prohibition against most visible tattoos on its employees are both concerning issues in this modern day and age. Get it together, Houchens!

I'm actually starting to like this place, it's not too big I can find my stuff without too many problems. They don't carry the stuff I'm used to like Velveeta cheese uncut and there's other brand names that things they don't have like mac and cheese but all In all it's not too bad. They usually have a really good prices on meats too.

They have remodeled and painted the outside, changed things around and moved things for easier access. Very clean store and easy to find what you need.

The staff is always kind and helpful. You can't beat having a in house butcher either and affordable prices. Love the new store layout as well.

DON'T GO THERE. They never gave my milk and 6 pack of juice. Said I left with it. Had receipt still got me. Came straight home. No milk no juice. I guess they lie a lot. I couldn't have lost a gallon of milk. Stupid liars

my younger brother and I came here to pick up some items to bring home since we were hungry from getting off the bus and, as always, greeted by friendly and courteous cashiers and other customers. My ONLY complaint is that the prices for some items is getting a little too high, but i'm not that bothered.

Reasonably priced food but some items its better to pay a little more for. You will have to visit a different store for better quality of some items. Otherwise a good place to stop if you're budget is getting thin.

I always have had positive experiences at Sav-a-lot. If you just need groceries, these stores are hard to beat. The prices are great and there's always a great selection.
