I love this store! This Ace Hardware is far more than a traditional hardware store. Of course it has all the normal things a hardware store has but it also has power tools, including chainsaws and many seasonal items. They also offer a wide variety of small and large power tools for rent. This store also has something you do not often find in many stores today. And that is plenty of staff to answer your questions, help you find what you are looking for or offering a solution to your problem.

So helpful and kind. Hard to find that mix in retail ! They even carried my purchase to my car for me. Great place to shop! Had good prices on tools and chainsaws . Cheaper than anywhere else I had checked.

Purchased new Agri-fab lawn spreader here in Harrodsburg Ace Hardware. Store clerk said they have one already assembled and if I would be okay with that one, I was glad not to have to put it together so I told HER, sure. This picture shows the one they tried to sell me as new. After I complained about the rust he said he could take off $25.They found another in stock that was new, still in the box. I took that one and left disappointed at what they tried to sell me like I wouldn't notice the rust.

Revised 1.2.22 If I could rate them 0 stars I would. We spent enough money here that when they make a mistake on their pricing you think they would fix it and make it right for the customer. Especially considering they’re more expensive than the other farm supply stores around the area. Instead the manager bickered with me when they were in the wrong and had their UPC codes and prices mixed up, even though the description matched. Don’t waste your time shopping here as they will probably charge you more because their prices are never what they say they are, like they did to us. Something that was supposed to be $3.59 she tried to charge us $5.99 for. Save your money and shop elsewhere.

I was looking for porch swing hooks. I checked the Ace Hardware website. It said I was shopping Ace Hardware Harrodsburg,Kentucky. So I searched for the porch swing hooks, and I find one that was $5.99. I was given the options of either purchasing it online or have it delivered. I chose to go the store to get it because I was going to get some plumbing items as well. It turns out Ace Hardware not only did not the porch swing hooks I was looking for, they do not carry it. Despite their website stating differently. I was trying to avoid going to Lowe’s in Danville , but I guess I’m forced to.****Posted this review a year ago, Ace Hardware of Harrodsburg Owner finally decided to respond……………… just two weeks ago!Wow, great to see they are on top of customer concerns!! Hey OWNER, THE WEBSITE STATES THE ITEM IS IN YOUR INVENTORY! NOT THAT YOU HAVE “ACCESS “ TO GET IT! Your actual inventory needs to match your website claim! The easiest way to explain this place is a mini Lowes but much much friendlier. Every employee I saw had a smile and a kind greeting. If you want great service, go there.

Took my tiller to have the carburetor fixed after weeks of being told the kit was on back order I was told to come get it because it was missing the linkage and the carburetor. They gave me my tiller back without parts and refused to answer any questions. They can't even find a work order . Last time I will shop here.

This hardware store provides better costumer service than all the big box stores combined. Screw bLowe's and the Home Depot. Sure you may pay a little more but with the help you know exactly what you need and how to attack your project. Unlike the big box stores where the help is either spread thin to make money for the stockholders or they disappear like cockroaches.

Store looked better than most Ace Hardware stores and has much more variety than most but the staff wasn't very helpful. I had to go to another store to get my key cut because they apparently only have one staff member trained to do sidewinder keys. Also they told me they wouldn't be able to use my blanks and that I must buy one of their keys and get it programmed in store. The Ace in Danville was able to cut the keys I had for a fraction of the cost.

Beware if buying a riding lawnmower from this store. We purchased zero turn went to pick it up and the oil has alot of water in it. They tried to tell us was normal to look milky yellow. My husband has been ag mechanic and lawnmower mechanic for over 20 years and he knows the the difference. They wanted to argue. We canceled the sale. Went somewhere else and brought similar with same type of motor and the oil was clear like it should be. These people don't know anything only to lie and when confronted make it seem like you are stupied.

Been looking for a specific Stihl Trimmer & everyone around has been out & on back order. Decided to call & they had them in stock. Drove from Frankfort and was amazed by all the selection! Derryk (I apologize if I messed up the spelling) was incredibly helpful and patient with me. He was incredibly knowledgeable & made sure I had everything I needed, including the best attachment for the additional use of the trimmer. He didn't try to pressure me or try to make me buy more than what I needed/wanted. I appreciate that a lot. He registered it for me and everything. I'll gladly be making the drive from Frankfort for this kind of service again & I recommend you to check them out! Thanks!

The markup on every item here is ridiculous. $5 on a dollar store door hinge... I mean come on. $10 for a roll of green painters tape. That's just what was on my list. Small town hardware stores will be extinct with gouging like this.

My husband and myself have been in the Harrodsburg ACE hardware store several times already and have found what we needed each time but my husband also said that I find items each time that we don’t need lol. Great store and wonderful staff. We needed this store a long time ago.
