My dog Blue, has arthritis. The Librela shot that Dr. Whitley gives him has worked well. My other dog, Zeke loves coming to see Dr. Whitley. The receptionists and assistants always make us feel welcome.

If there was -0 rating, I’d be checking that one!Took my 12 year old Boston terrier awhile back. He was not eating and had extreme fatigue. Dr. Whitley ran test after test and kept him there for several hours as I waited in the lobby. He finally came out and was unable to tell me anything, other than everything he ruled out through tests. We left with no answers and a lot less money, with a charge of little over $800….yes, eight hundred dollars…for nothing!!!!My dog continued to get worse, so I waited a couple of days and luckily was able to get him in with Dr. Ward in West Liberty. In less than 45 minutes he was given a diagnosis and put on medication, as well as a shot to increase his appetite, since he was still not eating. Dr. Ward diagnosed my dog, put him on medication and basically saved his life for all for around $100.00.So thankful to have found a vet who cares about the animals and is not shamefully greedy! Go to West Liberty!

When our baby got sick and we needed her arm immediately our usual vet told me or would be 3 weeks. Bluegrass got her in that same day and immediately started running tests and went time we needed something they worked her in immediately.

They did an amazing job with my cat Lucy. She is a bit of a wild one to say the least 🤣 but they handled her with care and was very helpful and informative when I scheduled my appointment. She stubbed up on me her first scheduled appointment and they were understanding and got me another appointment for the next day. They def deserve a 5star rating

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. I recently moved from Texas, to the Grayson area. I didn't know one veterinary clinic from the next. My senior toy poodle had a medical emergency. It was quite critical. BluegrassAnimal Clinic was recommended. I called the office and they saw him immediately. Dr. Whitley performed same day emergency surgery. My little guy had to stay at the clinic 6 days. Without Dr. Whitley's expertise and compassion, I would have lost my precious pup. "Thank you" doesn't begin to cover my appreciation for the entire staff's professionalism and devotion to my Elvis. We are now on the road to recovery. I don't know how much time my Elvis has left in this life, but, Dr. Whitley and his team gave me more. Thanks to them, this was not goodbye.

Done Bandits surgery. (Neutered) He's done very well. As far as service, everything was great. All the receptionists were very nice. They do a great service to our community by offering the spay/neuter clinic in October for a discounted price. We appreciate Dr. Whitley and his staff very much. Glad him and his wife are a part of our hometown...

DO NOT GO HERE. They completely ignored our wishes for a procedure and when confronted about it, the office manager told me my wife ok'd the procedure (which she did no), and when my wife confronted them, the same office manager told her that the technician didn't write the wishes on the paper. They ignored our wishes and charged us extra for the service that was not supposed to take place. We were also informed that the Veterinarian was out of the office numerous times (which was a lie) so we could not speak to him directly about our complaint.Then they called local law enforcement to wait while we came to pick up our pet and pay for the original price quote as an intimidation factor for us to pay the full amount. They may provide good service (when accurate) but if a mistake happens, they blame the customer. I have used many animal clinics all over the U.S. and parts of Europe. This is the worst one I have ever experienced.

Had my cat Ariel spayed and my Boston Terrier Luna had a checkup and they both got rabies shots. I was very pleased with how nice everyone was there! The service didn't take long at all and I found that they gave me a lot of good advice as well! Definitely a great office, we will be bringing her back when needed!

They were great! My dog of 8 years his name was Jeffery had to be put to sleep he had cancer! I was losing it I was crying uncontrollably and the sweet girl that brought us to the room said I will give you some time. It was about 15 minutes and they came in and took my baby back to put him to sleep! They brought him back in in a box! They gave me a little think with his paw print and some of his fur. They were so nice and considerate about what I was going through! A few days later I received a sympathy card in the mail.

Took my dog there as she was throwing up. They checked her for heartworms and said she had round worms and parasites. It costed me 230.00 for meds and everything. I turned around and took her to All Creatures and they tested her for worms and came back and said she was clear. There is no way in 10 mins everything was gone. This isn't the first time this place has done something wrong. He may be good with some animals or people he knows but all he is after is money. That's a shame money takes over a passion for animals. I will never ever take another animal to this place and this let man touch them. And if everybody that he has done wrong would post their review he wouldn't have the score he does. Just ask around. You'll hear some sad stories.

Absolutely amazing facility! The doctor willingly took our young puppy in right after close in order to preform an emergecy surgery! They all kept us informed every step of the way on her progress! The doctor even stayed very late that night to watch over her and make sure she had what she needed. Our credit wasnt the best for the typical payment suggestions, but they made a way for it to work to save our baby! Absolutely would not recommend any other place. I will always trust bluegrass animal clinic! Their new office building is very nice and clean. All the other clients in the office seemed very pleased and every staff was kind and caring. They went out of their way to make us feel like family! Our little baby even has a nickname there! 100% recommend.

So thankful for Dr.Whitley and all the staff that took care of my cat while he was in kidney failure. Their kindness and exceptional care pulled me through the loss of my beloved furr baby. They always worked him in no matter how busy they were. So grateful for all they did for my cat so he wouldn't suffer.

My dog was taken VERY good care of . She recovered great from her surgery, and the cost was almost 100.00 less than quotes from others. Took her in that morning and she was ready to go home by 3pm. Clean, trust worthy vet. and staff. Highly recomend.

I had an emergency with a cat that needed to be seen ASAP due to ataxia. I knew I couldn't afford an emergency vet, and they were the only vet who would work me in. They saw the cat quickly and even reassured me even though I was an anxious, crying mess over a cat that wasn't even mine. They gave me guidance and got her treatment the same day. I'm very appreciative of them!

I have nothing but amazing things to say about all the nurses & ladies working the front desk. They were all absolutely wonderful & took care of me & my baby. They were so super friendly & caring. Made us feel welcome & well taken care of.The doctor, on the other hand, was awful. I wish I could remember his name. It was a male doctor. He was so terribly rude. It was very upsetting. He was not gentle with my baby at all and when he started to examine her, she freaked out & started crying because she was hurting & scared. He was so mean about it! Acted like he just didn't even want to deal with her. Broke my heart. Then, the remainder of the visit with him was just uncomfortable. He was so rude.

We love The staff at Bluegrass Animal Clinic! We have a pitbull who is extremely anxious to put it mildly. Taking him to any kind of appointment is brutal. The staff are always accommodating to Gunner’s needs and are well trained on dealing with dogs with his temperament. Highly recommended!

Took my little boy Coal. He had pain for 2 days and we couldn't figure out where. He did a very thorough exam and found soreness in his neck. He has arthritis in his neck and only 6 yrs old.

We have a high maintenance Yorkie that requires attention multiple times a day. We have left him at several other places before and this place was by far the best. Both times we boarded him there were multiple animals being boarded and did not see or smell waste. Our dog actually came out in slightly better health than we left him.
