It's a simple, cheap, good market for your basic needs (and then some). I really do like it, my only problem is that a lot of the perishable goods have already perished, sometimes months and months beforehand. Just make sure to check the expiration date on whatever you buy and you'll be A-okay.

D&D never ceases to amaze me at the products they have. I usually just go for hygiene products and toiletries. They have a big selection of mostly natural products which I love. They are always extremely fair in pricing and not too far out of town.

Though they do have a couple of perishables that are a bit older than we'd prefer, but it's fairly neat, prices are very good, the Manager was working one of the registers, was very polite and pleasing!

Prices are often more than the regular stores, damaged and expired on 90% of the items... when brought to the attention of the workers they say... i know im sorry.If i can buy new for less money guess where i won't be shopping. And lately there are no amish working there..1.99for a box of cake mix that dollar general has in the same size unexpired for a dollar... just pointing that out

This store offers tremendous value to those of us who have been overwhelmed by the recent increase in prices at the grocery store. They may not have the largest selection in town, but if you can find even a few of the things that you normally buy, you can save a significant amount of money. Sometimes the packaging may be a little worse for the wear, but it's all wholesome and sanitary. Here's just one example that is typical of the savings you will find: Kraft Real Mayonnaise: 1 quart jar, Kroger: $5.95; D&D: $1.99.The staff is super friendly and you walk away with money in your pocket feeling like they truly appreciate your business.

I used to love this place you can find so many good deals and with the economy going up and prices it was the place to go. Here recently all the prices have skyrocketed everything's out of date there's no toiletries hardly ever and if they are they're just as much as what you pay in store they got a Target palette which was very expensive. The people there are so kind and so sweet I just like to see the old store back.

Great grocery selection at reasonable prices. Many items are at , or just a bit past, the " best buy date. " remember, best by date is just that. It doesn't always mean the product is out of date and no good. If your watching you pennies or on a tight budget check out D & D for many of your grocery, dry goods , needs.

I found items at D & D for a third of the price that you would pay any place else. Yes items may be close to expiration, but most expiration dates are just suggestions. Everything I bought taste and works great for me. Just like most businesses prices are on a rise. Thanks D&D.

Prices started increasing before covid once word spread that deals could be found, now prices can be compared to other major stores yet these items are salvaged meaning they bought wholesale in bulk super discount. Prices recently are same price as regular store down the road yet D & D products are dented/crushed, previously opened and taped shut (is this ethical or legal for items of consumption.) near outdated or outdated merchandise. If you want a good deal and good merchdise at great prices for unusual products, try bi-rite or r & s grocers in Horsecave. Just a few more miles down 31w and well worth the visit.

Very, and I mean Very clean! Products are easily organized in an excellent format. Aisles are clear no junking at all. It is a salvage grocery so alot of deals are hit and miss. If you are looking for specifics always get what you if it's in stock because things rotate and change. Depends on the product received to the grocery which is different every time. But if you like a great deal and a little adventure. I would highly recommend!

You really have to watch what you buy here the prices are almost like new from Walmart, the makeup and nail polish/accessories. They use to be a lot cheaper but I guess everything is going up nowadays. I figured with it being a savage store the prices would be a lot cheaper.

Prices are getting higher i have noticed that i can get things at actual stores the same price or cheaper than what i can get a salvage item here. When it first started out it was very reasonable, now not so much. My daughter loved the makeup but now that they have stopped carrying it i really have no reason to return.

This is a great store. I live in Wisconsin and always make a point of stopping when I visit my sister in Kentucky. It's always fun to see what bargains I can find. The employees are always so nice and friendly.

They always move products to different locations of the store. Which will help in keeping the dust down and make the store look clean. The parking lot & ladies restroom was pleasant as well. I never know what I might find, but I have found some great brand names at a deal. I always check the dates on medicine, vitimans and food items mainly. Store hours are convenient as well. Overall my trip today was a success.

They restock on Thursday so there is plenty of products on Friday. It's a salvage store so you could find anything from what you're looking for to surprise purchases. Very clean very organized very nice people working there and the best shopping carts anywhere.

I can't even describe this place! It's the best store that I've ever been! My wonderful friend showed me this place, and I got over $600 worth of stuff for $60. Well worth the time. I'll definitely be coming back very soon

D&D is a salvage store where you can save money on something's. Medical equipment and supplies are your best deals.I do not see that savings that I used to. They have raised thier prices to where you can get some items at your regular grocery store at the same price or if on sale cheaper.Employees do not ware masks.

D&D is awesome! Prices here are 50% or less, compared to average grocery store costs. I LOVE the friendly & helpful staff. I’ve noticed the comments of others warning about “expiration” dates. They aren’t actually expiration dates; they’re best by dates - simply meaning the manufacturer is willing to guarantee factors such as color, texture, flavor, etc. only up until the printed date. Beyond that, the food is still approved for consumption for government-specified periods of time, and I’ve learned that D&D is very careful to follow government policy regarding the time limitations. D&D, keep up the good work!

Great scratch n dent prices. Great clearance prices. Stock changes frequently. Only drawback - you need to watch pricing on bulk items like water and dog food... Their prices are not the cheapest... Try dollar general.

It is clean, bright, and fairly well organized. It doesn't always have the same products, but that is to be expected with any salvage grocery. We've never brought home anything grossly beyond expiration date or that tastes stale/spoiled. Everyone who works there is friendly and helpful.

D&D Grocery is a nice enough grocery. Especially for a salvage store. The store itself is clean, and there are some good deals to take advantage of. The Amish that work there are friendly enough, and the selection is pretty good. The problem I have with the store isn't so much the store itself. And I wanted to leave a summary review to explain my 3 star rating. I work in animal rescue. My husband and I take in and foster abused and neglected animals. Mostly dogs. The Amish are sadly known for backyard breeding, and not treating their dogs very well. As we work more and more with local rescue, we keep hearing more and more horror stories about the Amish and their poor treatment of animals, especially their breeder dogs. As much as we have enjoyed the deals and the shopping at D & D, we are likely to stop shopping there, as we cannot, with a good conscience, support any people that mistreat animals, amd exploit them for gain. It is a sad situation all around.

I love their prices. The dates on food items need to be checked closely. I picked up some applesauce and it expired in January 2017!!! Now they charge a 4% for using a debit/credit card; however , if you have an EBT card there is no extra cost. I think that's Bull..... I won't be going as often as I did because of this. Yes I could go get cash but I don't like carrying cash onme. It's just the principal of it.

Not a bad place considering you're buying expired but still good food or items that are potentially damaged. Sometimes you end up paying more for an item there then you could get anywhere else but it's few and far between. Quiet but overall friendly staff.
