This Walgreens is pitiful.First time here was told I had no prescriptions. Went to my doctor my doctor prove she sent in rx. When I got back to Walgreens I was told they couldn't find the sent prescription because someone was in exhale and they have no idea who it is so they don't know when they can get it off.I have been three or four times each time is a hour or two wait. Drive through is never open. What If I couldn't make it in the store and that was why I choose Walgreens

I thought my last pharmacy was the worst but this one gave me the absolute worst customer experience of my life. So on to another one, are all pharmacies terrible now? What happened to effective, efficient and timely service. This is a place you go to get your medicine, it should not be a hassle to get your life - saving prescriptions. Always having issues getting my meds in. Try another company/supplier then! Do they expect people to just run out of meds and, oh well?? That can cost a life.

Had one of the pharmacy employee's tell me to shut the F UP when I questioned why I was getting charged again and not being waited on... Manager refuses to even hear my complaint. Says call back Monday... I would put no stars if possible!

They never answer the phone. They continue to refill my son’s medication with generic but Dr has made it clear on this particular refill that he needs to use the name brand. This usually causes him to miss his medication even though It gets called in days ahead of time. I would not recommend using the Georgetown Ky store. My son has missed 4 days of medication because they didn’t have it. Then they filled it with the generic that he can’t take. He called it in almost two weeks ago. There is no excuse for this!

I like this store for its cleanliness and ease of navigation. But the pharmacy... Walgreen's corporate should be on this like underwear.This pharmacy is perplexing... most of the staff I've dealt with have been at least personable, but they don't make the decisions. Time on the prescriptions is geologic, which is entirely unacceptable. I always just assume that there will be some kind of holdup.It feels like 1979 all over again... go inside the pharmacy, probably wait in a small line, ask about the issue, get a roundabout time it will be ready, leave the pharmacy, come back later or the next day. Or next week. Archaic. Gimme a break, Walgreen's. You're a nationwide chain. Get it together!This is disregarding your customers, who are your source of money. We need more options in Georgetown. This Walgreen's will go the way of our CVS soon. Sad.

I have never in my life experienced such a horrible place to obtain prescriptions. I would stand a better chance of getting meds in Bagdhad. Just called and was on hold for 30 minutes, and phone disconnected. The only way to talk to a person is to drive to the store. I was a Hometown customer and transferred to this joint. Great transition plan too BTW. I have to get my doctor to renew every FN prescription even if there were refills on them. I wonder if the doctor that needs to send the refills to the pharmacy can even do that. I wonder if the doctor is sitting on hold for 30 minutes and getting disconnected. As soon as I can find the time I will be transferring every prescription I have to Lexington KY where I work so I don't have to deal with the pathetic pharmacy options in Georgetown KY. So sad, and additional proof that I am personally witnessing the decay of modern society.

This used to be the best pharmacy in Georgetown and is now the worst. They will let you set on the phone for 30 minutes only to disconnect the call probably because they get in trouble for call times. Also they never have your prescription ready when supposed to. It's sad because before covid this was a great pharmacy. I would suggest taking your business elsewhere!!!

I visited the store and nobody even bother to say hi to me even the guy at counter was just staring at me. Prices are more than online price. I ordered something online weeks back and set pick up at store, they hold it till the entire stock was gone and then cancel the order,enough , I am not coming here again.

So this Walgreens took over customers for a local pharmacy that closed and what a joke that is. They can’t take care of the customers they have already. I had left Walgreens to use the local pharmacy that closed and now my prescriptions have been sent back to Walgreens and it’s like pulling teeth to get my prescriptions filled. Calling the store is pointless because nobody answers and it takes 3 trips to the store to get 1 prescription filled. Time to look for a new pharmacy AGAIN!

This is by far the worst store and pharmacy I have ever been to. I was hung up on four times by the store manager, the pharmacy picks up the phone after keeping you on hold for 20 minutes then hangs up on you. The pile of vomit right outside the front entrance was there for at least a week before someone decided to clean it up. The people who work here do not need to be working in customer service and all of them hate their jobs here. It reflects on their lack of care and concern for their customers. The pharmacy is closed sometimes because either no one wants to work or there is only one pharmacist available and they do not know how to speak to people and care for their patients. If someone really needed like blood thinners or meds they could not go a day without the fact that this pharmacy has been closed on random occasion is purely criminal and negligent. I am waiting for someone to sue this place. Thank God I switched pharmacies and I will NEVER give this store my business again. What a disaster. Please just close down your whole store already!

Transferred here after several horrible experiences with CVS. As soon as I came in to ask if they had one of my scrips that CVS said was on backorder without any estimate of when to expect it, they not only had it. They got all my scrips from CVS that day. (CVS ASKED me to have Kroger transfer my scripts over in January, when my insurance changed.) Walgreens pharmacy staff has been nothing but kind and professional with me, answering any questions, including trying to figure out why my insurance won't cover 2 very basic prescriptions I've been on for years.

To say I was disappointed is an u derstatement. Set an appointment online for covid and flu shots for 2:45 pm we exited store at 5. This store is disgustingly dirty. Not again will we use this store in Georgetown.

Do not believe these store hours! They will see you coming and lock the door 5-10mins early for 1. For 2, they bought hometown pharmacy & j&L both and I've had NOTHING BUT TROUBLE EVER SINCE! The male pharmacist is RUDE with customers. So is the blonde female pharmacist. It's RIDICULOUS! The pharmacy is INCOMPETENT and the app is INACCURATE! WHEN OR IF I EVER HAVE ANYTHING NICE TO SAY ILL COME BACK, but I expect this pharmacy to kill somebody someday soon if they haven't already and that's no joke! Talk about FED UP!!!!!!! I'd rate zero or minus 500 if I could as their star rating!

Until they hire a lot more help in the pharmacy your best bet is to go elsewhere. Staff is obviously frazzled and working as hard as they can. But management is a joke for not getting ahead of this fiasco. It’s frustrating and somewhat dangerous not to be able to get needed meds.

The pharmacy doesn’t answer the phone. They keep you on hold for about 20 minutes then hang up. If you need to talk to them you have to drive to the store. Would not recommend!

Never have common meds in stock.I had two refills left on one med and they still made me call my Dr. before they would fill. Employs at drive thru are very rude!I’m in the process of changing pharmacies.

Sent here when hometown bought out. I only hope that all their employees are not rude like the first one I got. Unbelievable the attitude on her. If this happens again, I guess I'll try Walmart or CVS. Sure do miss hometown. They were great 👍.

I'd give a zero rating if I could. Everytime I try to get ahold of the pharmacy staff here, I either have to call several times only because I am being disconnected on their end after being on hold for 10-15-25 minutes at a time, or I am on forever perpetually hold for a minimum of 40 minutes to as long as over an hour and a half. Why do they even have an option to speak to someone when they never answer the phones. I've been inside and they truly are not that busy. I transferred from another Walgreens in a surrounding county when we moved here and wanted to keep all my records together. Time to find another pharmacy.

The drive-thru was not open to grab my medicine for my sister who just had surgery, so I had to leave her to come inside to fill the script. They told me it would take 35 minutes to get this done. I left and came back over an hr later and it still was not filled. There is currently 12 sick people in one small space and several of us have been waiting hours. Not one script filled. I don’t understand, why this is taking so long. I understand there are others to take care of, but no pharmacy I’ve ever been to has taken this amount of time. The lady at the counter was rude and gave no timeframe just walked away after she said it’s still not ready.

I'm not happy about leaving a negative review and sure what's going on with this locations Pharmacy. It's absolutely ridiculous with the long lines at the drive-thru and inside the store, the miscommunication, along with the staffing and service delivery issues. I've called the pharmacy and sit on hold for almost an hour just to get hung up on. It's to the point where I cringe each time that I pickup a refill. I'm ready to transfer my prescriptions. I wouldn't recommend this location to anyone that I care about. The team inside of the store is a lot more efficient than the pharmacy.

Ditto on 45+ minutes on hold, if you are lucky. This place does not realize they are almost extension of the hospital. You get misleading call notifications and when you travel to pick up prescriptions DURING their listed hours the prescription dept are often not staffed or open. Prescribed drugs can be an emergency. This place should not have a license for operations.

It’s almost impossible to speak to someone. Always 3 callers ahead. Not many people have 15 minutes to speak to someone to just check on a their medication. If your going to buy small town businesses (J&L and hometown) be prepared for the business.

ZERO stars. Only I can't post this without choosing a star. This pharmacy would serve customers better if it were staffed by pigeons. On hold while making and eating dinner, during clean up and chores. Close to closing still on hold ( 2.5 HOURS) and drive there. PHARMACIST, not a tech, was the RUDEST person. Said that after you've been on hold for 30 minutes it just loops you around and no one EVER picks up the call. And yes, we did try to call on another phone while the original call was still on hold. Then she had the audacity to tell us she can't help it that the insurance company didn't receive the pre-auth and what did we want HER to do about it. Never mind her explaining why they didn't call to tell us our Rx was cancelled because the insurance out right denied it because of the pre-auth they DIDN'T send. Walgreens anywhere in the world will never get another cent of our money because of this woman's attitude when they were called out for a mistake. A mistake lasting 11 days and several phone calls by us to help get it straightened out. PS...when asked for a manager she refused to give us a name. That's OK. They'll hear about it tomorrow and the next day and next. Not that it will do any good...

Never in my life have I experienced such complete and pitiful service. Called in June 2 to have script transfered, on June 3, late in the day, having given them 10 working hours to make the transfer and fill, but not hearing anything from them, I call back after waiting on the line 90 minutes, bit I'm told they don't have my name in the system. Talk to Saad who assures me he is going to take care of it but June 4, at 4:30, rolls around and no word. A call back and 30 minutes later, they pick up only to inform me that my name isn't in the system; ball dropped twice. The lady tells me to hold and she will make the call to transfer the script and after 5 or so minutrs on hold, the phone begins to ring back to them. It rings about a minute and then goes back yo putting me on hold, but after another 5 minutes it begins to ring back to them; this time, they just pick up the phone and hang up.

Absolutely the worst pharmacy in Georgetown. Very slow, very indifferent & very incompetent. I typically drive 30 minutes to Lexington rather than Deal with them. And the worst part about it is they don’t care. You have a better chance of getting your order right in the McDonald’s drive-through than you’ll ever have of getting good service at Walgreens in Georgetown. And the worst part is management does not care, look at all these reviews and nothing has been done about it!
