I adopted my dog through Owen County Friends of Animals, and she stayed with Thunder Vallies Animal House for two years (of the three that she was in a shelter). Since then I've used Thunder Vallies twice for boarding and have had no complaints. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a company to board your dogs. They are very nice, and I know they take great care of Penny.

Excellent place for your dog's care. They provide grooming, training, doggy daycare and boarding. I have used all services with 3 different dogs. This is a family run small business. They take great care of my dogs and I have never had any issues. They also have multiple dogs of their own. The dogs are healthy and well adjusted and friendly. I highly recommend this place for your dog care needs.

I have been taking my dogs to Thunder Vallies Animal House for the past five years. They treat our dogs like family when we leave them in their care and I am never worried about my dogs while they are with Tony and Denise (the owners). It says a lot that my dogs get excited when they see we are at Thunder Vallies. They love going their and my wife and I are happy to have a good place to leave our pets when we are traveling.

I love Thunder Vallies! After trying several local boarding facilities for our dogs, including one where I showed up early to find the owner mistreating one of them, we tried Thunder Vallies and have never needed to look anywhere else. Our dogs love going there and we can relax on vacation knowing that they will be well-cared for. During the heavy snowfall earlier this year, we were unable to get there and had to board the dogs for a few extra days but we knew that Denise and Tony would look after them. I only have to mention Tony's name and my dogs run to the door, excited that they will be seeing him.

I would never leave my pet where they are not comfortable showing me where she will be staying. Thunder Valley would not let me see where my dog would be kept and became upset when I refused to leave her if I couldn’t see the accommodations. She told me I would not be able to find anywhere else to keep her on such short notice. I did.

I recently visited this facility for a AKC Canine Good Citizen Test, and I felt quite uncomfortable during my entire visit. For starters, I walked through the front door and was instantly greeted by an overwhelming odor of dog. I stood at the desk waiting to be greeted by an individual for at lease 5 minutes. I was looking around for a bell of some kind, which I did not see; however, if there was a bell or some kind of alert system, I wouldn't have been able to find it amongst the piles and piles of paper, magazines, dog show ribbons, mail, leashes, and dog food/water pales sitting, and junk not only on the counter, but the desk, lobby table, and various kennels.Once I was greeted by the evaluator/trainer, Tony Williams, I was told that I would have to wait to take the test because the "crowd" (his family) were out running errands and would be late. Let's forget the fact that the man couldn't even bother to crack the first smile and welcome me and my dog to Thunder Vallies.During my almost 30 minute wait I scanned the area a bit more for lack of anything else to do. I witnessed about an inch of nothing but dust, dog dirt, and cobweb mixture laying on the top of the curtain rods; the furniture was covered in dog dirt, odor, and hair; there were 3 dogs in the very cramped lobby (2 in kennels, 1 sprawled out on the couch). During the time, a customer came for dog food and seemed to have trouble to write her check in the lack of space the counter was providing amongst all the "crap" on it.The evaluation was more or less expected given my experience in dog shows and the obedience ring, however, Tony did not once demonstrate what I and my dog should do. I had to ask and he explained, but never ran through the course of operations. We passed the evaluation, but it just seemed really dull and impersonal.Overall, the cleanliness of the facility is what bothered me the most. No business should look the way this did. Would I ever board or train my dog at this facility? No way. It's a health hazard for people and dogs, plus I wonder if any of my pet's belonging would ever get back to me. I've heard many rumors that this facility ships all the boarders from this facility to a farm completely separate of this facility. If that's true, I'm very disappointed because any customer who cannot witness the facility that their lovable family pet is being taken too is absolutely uncalled for.

They don't seem to know what they're doing. No organization whatsoever. The only reason I left my dog there was that I didn't have time to make better arrangements.
