Have never visited a Save a Lot before. After seeing their ad come in my mailbox again this week thought I would check it out. Easy to get to, ample parking. Small store that is relatively clean - it's older so that has to be taken into consideration. All of the staff were really nice. Lots of off brand products but you can't beat most of the prices. Some name brand and that was highly competitive in pricing. They have meats that are 5 packages for $25. My neighbor swears by it. Bought chicken on sale and picked up a few other items. Overall good experience. Would pick up a few things here and there but don't think I could do my entire shopping here due to limited availability and options.

First, I want to value the Employees there who work extremely hard and take their job seriously. You are appreciated! With this being said, I really wanted to give a one star, but I chose two stars because of the avid employees who work there. I can also say that those specific hard workers do keep the store clean and the shelves stocked (the first of the month and holidays is when it can be impossible to manage the shelves/restock).Let's get straight to the point 👉 👇As a prior Save-A-Lot Employee in Lexington, KY (a franchise company and not an individually owned store), maybe I got used to the "way of the land" and how each department was trained probably. Or.. how the workers dedicated themselves with prioritizing the customers and only putting out the very best products?..Obviously... my persona is delegated to both of those answers above.Sadly, Georgtown's Save-A-Lot is not quite there in the field of being dedicated to prioritizing their customers in certain departments.I can't stress this enough in how frustrating that it is to go in to tje Store with the Produce Department being the MAIN Entry Star or first thing you see and it ends up being the worst department to shop in!!A box of Roma Tomatoes were all soft, smashed, rotting, and full of fruit flies on one shopping trip.On another trip, all the packaged green onions were old, wilted, and brown. Cherry tomatoes at their last life span. Salad mix that was brown and soggy. The FIFO Method was not being adequately used properly. This neglected department gives far more judgment of character to the one in charge than the worker thinks.Glancing at the Produce Department and its fruits and vegetables, it gives you an idea of the workers behind it all. SMH.

Their clerks are friendly, and helpful and with a smile. They ask if the customer needs help, etc. One of my favorite places to grocery shop.

I've been in this store a few times. The employees have been nice to me each time I have been there. They have a good size parking lot. The front door is automatic, so wheelchair's won't have a problem. The place has been clean each time I have been there. There are numerous isles to shop on. Most everything in here is priced right. They have about most everything you may need for your shopping needs. This place is well worth the time to go shop at, if you have never been there. This review is based on what I have seen there, and on my own personal experience there. Please like and share.scott-

Very basic store. Little variety. Many generic items. Meat prices competitive. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The building, flooring etc. In need of upgrading. Basically a convenience store with better prices.

No big name brands but no problem. Products were fresh at a very reasonable price. Unlike Krogers where you pay high prices for rotten food. Only complaint was store was not bigger.

Called and asked if they carried country hams and the person said yes they did. I get a call back in less than ten minutes telling me they were currently out. In my opinion that is A1 service that seems to be missing from retail today. They didn't have to call me back and let me know but I was glad they did so I didn't make a waisted trip there.

Georgetown Ky store is nasty. I need a hepatitis shot every time I come out of that store. Filthy store, extremely rude cashiers. There’s a heavy set younger cashier at the Georgetown store who clearly hates her job and hates the customers even more. The chicken there is always spoiled, the pork isn’t much better. This place is only good to pick up a can of this or that but not a good grocery store option. I’ll go to Kroger thank you very much.Clearly the Georgetown save a lot doesn’t want customers. Rudest employees in Georgetown

Prices on meat were much lower than the bigger chain grocery store. Good selection and they don't push store brand items on the customer. Great shopping experience!

Some prices are very good. We are surprised at checkout because sometimes it rings up lower. Friendly staff. Not a great selection though as it's a small store.

A whole lot cheaper than the two big name stores, and they have a pretty good selection too, just don't expect "everything" you'd find at Kroger. Staff is friendly, line never seems to take too long to get through either. Can't really ask for anything more.

Would much rather shop here than try to shop at our other crowded stores. The employees are super nice even though their produce department could use a little tlc. Couple of moldy options that the stockers didnt notice or pull

Georgetown's "other" grocery store. Save A Lot has most anything you need in a pinch when you don't want to go to the other two big name stores. They carry more off brand items but do have some major brands as well. Their produce and meat departments are very fresh and most of it is local. The employees are the BEST and as the name suggests, you will save money. Highly recommend coming to Save A Lot!

This place is awful! They don't offer the same sales as Lexington stores and their meat prices can be dollars more per pound. For example, the week of June 1-7, 2022, Lexington stores are selling country style pork ribs for $1.19 a pound but no such sale in Georgetown. About 2 months ago, Lexington store were selling T-bones at $5.99 a pound, but no such sale in Georgetown. as for the buy 5, it's still 5 for $20 in Lexington.Comparing to local stores, Walmart always stomps Georgetown SaveaLot on price on comparative brands, e.g. Suddenly Salad which WMT sales for $.50 less, or jalapenos which are $2.99 a pound while both Kroger and Walmart routinely sale at about $1.19. THEN, THERE'S THE ISSUE of pulling up to the store at 7:45 p.m. and they've already locked the doors; this hasn't happened just once, but 3 times that I've personally experienced and I have video and witnesses to prove it.

I was surprised to find everything I needed and was very grateful. This is the only grocery store close to home, so they work hard, although a smaller version of other Save-A-Lots I have been in, to accommodate their customers. They are friendly and helpful. The place was clean and orderly.

Website states that the store opens at 8:00 a.m. when I pulled into the parking lot I could see 4 people inside the store. When I try to enter the building at 8:10 the doors were locked, no one in sight and no note on the window.

Dirty, save-a-lot used to have a cheaper selection of items. Now a lot of their stuff is actually more expensive compared to bigger stores

It doesn't smell like rotten mop water anymore. It's cleaner now than before. It's a little more expensive than I expected it to be. Cashier just wanted to talk to other workers in the store. Other than that it was a good place to shop.

Sav-a-lot is a smaller, grocery only store. They have canned goods, meat, dairy, fruits/veges, and bread selections. They are located right off downtown, so are easily accessible. Prices are reasonable, and the staff are friendly.

Friendly place sometimes a little slow and things get bagged the wrong way, like ice cream with bread, but over all depending on time of day it's in and out. Prices on fruit are amazing too. But I don't buy meat unless I'm cooking it that day.

This is one of the worst grocery stores in Georgetown. They have one cashier that is a felon and a thief. I would never shop there the cashiers name is Reva Boykin. Got in contact with the customer service to get a hold of the owner said I would get a response back in 3 to 5 days it's been 3 months they closed the case out and didn't even contact me about anyting or the store manager!! Incompetent

This is a understated little corner mart that really does have most everything you might need. Beat the long lines and huge store and run in here. The gals have always been very friendly too.

Store looks great after the remodel. Selection is wide and deals are on par. Definitely worth the trip to Save A Lot.

Small store. Limited selection. I don't think I saw anything that was actually a particularly good deal that you couldn't get for the same if not cheaper at Kroger and Walmart. So their title is a bit of a lie. Their parking lot is a pretty interesting trying to get in and out of there. The store feels and smells stale. It's definitely not a very welcoming place. The only reason I'd go their is because they have a good selection of mountain dew. I like mountain dew. If I could get the types of mtn dew I wanted at Kroger or Walmart, I'd never step foot in there.
