Plane Jane on the outside, a real gem on the inside, just if they had a dartboard and a jukebox!!! My family and I were stranded on the side of the 460 hwy due to a flat tire. Prior to that happening I called in an order to go for dinner for us all. I was unable to make it in time to pick up the order because we were waiting for roadside assistance. The owner called me and offered to deliver my food to us on the side of the road, which was about 15 minutes from the cafe. She went above and beyond and blessed us all so much. I was able to feed my children as we waited for help with our vehicle. What a wonderful person she is and I wanted to thank her publicly for what she did. It made a tough situation better for us to bear having dinner in the car. God bless the corn bread cafe abundantly!

We spent few days in that area and there weren’t many places to eat so we googled food in that area and this place popped up. We had both lunch and breakfast. Nice variety of food , we had fish, pizza, fries, cheese bread, onion rings etc. menu has large variety of food options . Everything was delicious and prices reasonable. What struck me most about Frenchburg are the people. Everyone we talked was super kind, it left such a impression on our family. We met some of the kindest people in that part of Ky.

First time ever eating there and the food was so good and they give you plenty. If you happen to go there and eat order the Catfish dinner. I have been to a lot of little dinners and I think this is the best one of them all. The place is so clean. I will be coming back here again when I am in town.

Super friendly waitstaff. The food is delicious, and the portions generous. I had the breakfast buffet one day, and there's a little something for everyone. I ordered the catfish another day, and it was very well done. I'll be going back, for sure.

This was my first time going and it was great! They offer dining in or carry out, which is what I did. My call in order was ready when I got there and cheaper than I was expecting. I only got a burger and fries, but they were great. The burger was one of the best that I have had. So if you need to stop in somewhere for a quick bite, good prices, great food, and service, then stop in there for a wonderful experience.

1 star only because 0 stars isn’t an option. They close at 9pm. My friend and I arrived around 8:30pm. We were going to try and sit down and eat if possible but, we would of been fine with our order to go. They had already shut the grill off. (Should not be shut off till 9pm). Said we could still order deep fried and/or pizza. I had decided on a pizza while my friend was still deciding. We were then informed that the pizza oven was about to be shut off so we could only have deep fried foods. Again, if you don’t close till 9pm and you have customers in your lobby, why would you shut it down. We ordered some food and when it arrived we proceeded to eat. We were never offered refills. They asked if they could start mopping. Mind you we were done eating at 9:03pm. They rushed us and made us feel like an inconvenience to them. I was not happy with the service that my friend and I received. If you don’t want us in your lobby you could of stopped us and said so. 0/10 recommend this restaurant.

We ate Sunday dinner there two weeks ago. Went in after church, and just beat the crowd! The buffet is delicious, and the chicken is always the best. My son had the meatloaf and said it was delicious. We have always had delicious meals there. A group of us from our car club plan on having lunch there tomorrow. It’s a fun day trip for us, and a wonderful destination for a great lunch! We don't mind driving a couple hours for a fun and delicious excursion!

Stopped here on a whim after visiting Red River George. The fried chicken was great, as was the large, spacious restaurant. They had a buffet that was small, but good and well-stocked. I was quite pleased: good food, good prices, good people.

This is a wonderful place to come and eat and is very family oriented. It has great service and awesome food with lots of different things to choose from. It has a hot bar with home cooked meals, a salad bar that is always fresh. Lots of items to pick from the grill and if you want something that isn't on the menu they will do their very best to fix it for you.

The food is ok. There's a small buffet and salad bar. The fried chicken is really tasty but everything else is a little bland. Service has gotten consistently worse and slower each time we've passed through the area and stopped in to eat. This could be a great, hometown restaurant with some small updates.

Very Good Food! Waitress was very nice and attentive. Short wait for food. Frankly, the food is worth more than what's being charged. It's nice to know you can still get a good meal at a good price. The local patrons should be grateful.

Dirty! Women's bathroom needed cleaning, paper on the floor. After the waitress brought our food she only came back to our table once, nothing unusual. Food was better than when we were there 2 wks ago.

Heard a lot about this place and finally drove over an hour to get there. Simply put, it just wasn't worth it. Food, what there was on the buffet, was mediocre at best. The staff spent a lot of time chit-chating with each other behind the counter rather than seeing to the patrons. The only one who seemed to be working was the lady doing the cooking and stocking the buffet. Admittedly, I was very disappointed. There are much better options available within a reasonable distance.

I've driven up numerous times hoping they'd be open and they never seem to be. I think you can get drive through, but personally I'd like a nice little cafe to go to instead of a drive through that's only open sometimes.

Even after reading negative reviews and one individual's warning not to go, we did. We were told that out of towners were not treated well. Six of us arrived for breakfast on Sunday at 9am. Took a minute to be acknowledged by waitress but we were seated quickly, drink order arrived quick too. The buffet was basic, scrambled eggs, sausage patties, crispy bacon, boxed hash browns, biscuits and canned gravy, peaches and apples. The girls ordered pancakes from the kitchen. They arrived fast and were huge (3) and good. All in all not bad, clean restaurant. We'll be back since it's the only one in town.

Started out good. Waiter was polite. Took almost 2 hours to get our food though and then the owner was a total beast about our complaint. Kids were crying because they were so hungry and the place was nearly empty! Not sure what took so long to make a couple pizzas?!? We were in from out of state but will be traveling to this area a lot now due to family buying property there. Heard the owner owns some of the other local businesses too, so we stay far away from them all. She had ZERO sense of customer satisfaction or respect whatsoever. Stay far from this place.

First off, let me say that I love Cornbread Cafe, always have. BUT, something has most definitely gone haywire. I was there with some friends of the family tonight and was shocked at the difference.It wasn't busy at all when we got there, Maybe 6-7 people and 2-3 waiting on orders.I walked towards the booth I always set in and EVERY booth down that side was empty but with dirty dishes all over. And they remained that way for more than a half hour.Next problem....the buffet had ran out of mashed potatoes and fish. I absolutely love the fish and the taste was still on point but the service was very disappointing. And they were not busy at all. If you have time to lean, there shouldn't be tables that haven't been bussed. And it had been a few months since I had been in there and to be honest, I think they were keeping them dirty on purpose because the last time I was there, they weren't allowing customers to set on the side where the booths are closest to the buffet area.So, having been disappointed so bad tonight, I highly doubt that I will be back even as much as I love their food. And as a suggestion to improve things....how about offering a few items on a dessert bar. Take away a couple less popular items from the salad bar and add a couple items for a dessert bar.Again just a suggestion on the dessert bar but definitely needs improvement on service and time well spent.And I'm a local patron and come here quite often so I will be watching for changes in efficiency and service.Laura PoynterHawkins Branch Rd.Frenchburg, KY

Cornbread Cafe possibly the worst dining experience i have ever had. Food was pretty good and mostly fresh but couldn't keep up with the flow on the buffet table, hence the 2 two stars. They ran out of fish a lot but in that regard it was always fresh. Mashed potatoes were quite possibly instant but every time i went to get any they were out. I also noticed they had no gravy, i have never been to a buffet that didn't have serve gravy.The salad bar was a little limp as well seems they only refilled it if they noticed or someone said something. This critic wanted chopped ham it was empty, very little shredded cheese, not much other toppings. The salad dressing options that i could see were only Blue Cheese and Ranch.The Service was god awful possibly the worse i have ever seen in 20 years. Took forever to get things we needed at the table like extra silverware and a straws.In the 30 minutes we were there customers stood in line for ten minutes and then eventually cleaned there own tables. The restaurant wasn't even that busy maybe 6 other customers in the place.My only other question is where was management during all this hiding their heads in shame I can only presume.Overall go through the drive thru or pick up it maybe a better experience here. The staff on a scale of 1-10, 1 being bad and 10 awesome, i give them them a 7. They need to be more attentive to the tables and customer's needs and Iess forgetful. Food Quality I give it a 7 as well because i think some of it home cooked as others is made to appear as such. Cleaniness this score is based on the only visit I made so it's arbitrary score of a 5 i would have to return a few more times to give better judge of a score.Most of these were also based on other customers reactions that had been coming even under the previous owners. So this review isn't solely based on my own opinions.

Went for breakfast. Staff was friendly but there was a very limited breakfast menu. If you want a big breakfast this is the place to go but if you're looking for something small, keep looking. The value was great and you can def get a lot of food for not a lot of money. And the food was tasty.
