Nice variety of fish and reasonably priced. Better variety then pet smart and staff is more knowledgeable and helpful. Buyer beware because you only get a 24 hour warranty on fish. I believe if your that confident about your product you should give a longer warranty time because at least at Petsmart they give a 14 day return.

Bought TWO snakes here and both had reptile mites (picture at the end) the first one wouldn’t eat so I took it back to the shop after spending a month treating the mite infestation. Brought him back bc they said they would nurse him back, call me when he was ready and allow me to purchase him again. I was in here once a week for the following two months to buy feeder mice for the second snake I bought here. Checked up on him every week I came in, I was emotionally attached to this snake and the employees knew this. I came in tonight to buy a feeder mouse and check on him again, my snake was gone, I was never notified, the owner was rude and had the audacity to LIE to me!!! I’m not the only person to have issues here either. This image is from the night I brought the snake home, before it got home but you can zoom in and see the brown spots, those spots ended up moving and being mites

I saw the negative reviews but went anyways because sometimes they aren’t correct. But unfortunately they were 😣. The staff was definitely not very friendly and the reviews about not so good conditions for the fish and reptiles is correct. A lot of the habitats were not sufficient for species and I saw a lot of under stress fish :/. The snakes also didn’t seem very well taken care of, won’t be back. Two stars because they did have a lot of interesting fish i haven’t seen before !

They don’t care about there aniamals health and all in poor living conditions. Last week they had 3 green Laguana‘s that was almost black from being stressed. All the ball pythons in shed all have stuck sheds. This disgusting how people can stand by and watch this

The baby snakes have mites all over them. They will not last long with little bugs all over them sucking the blood out of them. People will do anything to make a dollar and it’s sad. Bought a 40 gallon tank from them also get home and the sides are falling off and the tank is cracked. Never will I ever buy anything from this place. Just go look your self. You’ll see.

When you need something beyond the garden variety fish sold at PetSmart give World of Pets a try. All kinds of freshwater and tropical fish, coral and supplies along with rabbits, ferrets, tarantulas, etc. Friendly and helpful staff. Florence location a bit far afield for those north of the Ohio River but if you find that special thing you will feel it was worth the drive. Note: 24 hour guarantee on freshwater fish.

Nice selection of all types of animals. Favorite pet shop in florence. The zebra stiped guy and his little brother above the corral is the newest addition. Along with Nemo! I love their saltwater selection

I've been a long time customer and I've even given them free healthy beautiful fish that they gladly took and I never would have if there was a better place to give them to. But unfortunately I've continued to come back because of their wide selection. But after a very unpleasant conversation with one of their staff over the phone today and being hung up on twice, I will not be wasting my money or time there again.Also I'm not the only person whose noticed or had a bad experience with this place, so please read the reviews before you decide to make this place your go to shop.

They sold me a ball python with mites, I have several reptiles and I've never had to deal with mites before. Either the breeder they get their snakes from is unreliable or they are knowingly selling infested animals.

Had many different types of fish. A little pricey but overall wonderful place to get sea or fresh water fish! Make sure the fish are compatible with one another before you buy.

We went to World of pets to pick new fish for a tank we just got. The guy there hurried us and grabbed our fish and rushed us out of the store. We get home and float the fish. We bought 8 fish for a 36 gallon tank. One fish died about 3 hours after releasing them and the Kio Angel fish we got both have ick. Not happy may not ever go back and buy fish there again.

The staff asked if we needed help at least six times in the short time we were there. Which was nice. They had a great variety of fish and affordable tanks. However, the products in some areas were dusty and outdated or expired. The price was good but I was reluctant to purchase flea products specifically. Otherwise a nice place good prices.

I have had some crummy service here before but I have overlooked it but today was the last time.On two occasions in the past 2 months I have discussed bringing young fish in for store credit. I was told that was no problem by the older man who has blonde hair that has worked there for 20+ years. The last time I was in he said “just bring them in”. I did so today and when I did he scoffed and said he had no room & that I should have called first. I mentioned that he told me to just bring them in and he said “you can just expect me to have room”. I reminded him that he had told me to “just bring them in”. I see now why the store has such awful reviews. This man has now wasted my time and my gas driving all the way north. I will not be going back and I encourage others to go anywhere else.

World of Pets is an excellent shop.If you have not been there in awhile, visit them again! Knowledgeable staff for aquarium enthusiasts. You will find both freshwater fish and salt water fish. Recommend to visit their shop. I found the fish food for my fish that was hard to find. Glad they are in the Northern Ky area.
