Penningtons is the only grocery store in our small town of Flatwoods Ky. So some residents go to the store multiple times a week or sometimes more than once in a day. I do wish they would be a little more considerate when hiring Cashiers because not only did I have a bad experience with an employee recently, my husband and my parents have all had a bad encounter with a new employee. On three separate occasions. She has blonde long hair and she's really a beautiful girl.... Until she has to do her job and then she shows an ugly, impatient side and if not for the Man over this store being Such an Awesome, trustworthy and reliable person, I may not have gone back. She looked at me and rolled her eyes at the elderly lady ahead of me for taking a little longer than most people, as if I was going to agree with that type of behavior. She did the same exact thing to me when I needed to put my phone number in to use my account points.

I love shopping at Pennington's Food Fair! They have a massive selection of delicious foods to choose from, and their employees are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. Without a doubt, Food Fair is my top choice when it comes to grocery shopping - I wouldn't dream of going anywhere else!

I will shop here only if I'm grabbing a thing or two. Their prices aren't that good and the selection leaves little to be desired. Being privately owned it has its ups and downs; their prices are higher than say Krogers but it's a lot more personal experience. Their produce is usually very nice and plentiful.

I go to the store almost every single day, and today I went and searching for three items, two of which I knew where to find, I had search the entire store and was looking for one item, and spent about 10 to 15 minutes looking for it and I had to get home soon, so I went to go ask for help and there was a lady stocking shelves, I walked over and said “oh excuse me ma’am” where she proceeds to ignore me walk away and then get on her phone and call somebody, and then proceeded to give me dirty looks and act like I was in her way. I had to go find a lovely gentleman who helped me find what I was looking for but I do not believe anyone should be treated as if they are a burden when simply just looking for Ranch Dressing.

I grew up coming here when it was Pennington's. Moved back to Flatwoods and came here and super friendly service and easy to find what I need. Great prices too

I've shopped here a dozen or so times and only go as a last resort. The cashiers have been rude to me everytime I've been. One of the boys running the register in another lane was making fun of me to another customer for wearing a mask. The young brunette girl has the rudest attitude everytime I go through her line. My experience has been bad everytime and I'm not coming back.

Love this place.. Been a customer for 20+ years. Very friendly service.. Awesome deli with choices of a hot homemade meal, to lunch meats, pasta salads, macaroni salad, desert and best of all, their chicken salad is hands down the best and only chicken salad I will buy. I have grown to love this place..

I love the selection this store offers. They have almost everything you could possibly need for most recipes. It's close, the people are friendly, and you can get in and out fast. My only real issue is that I don't buy chicken there. It's been spoiled way too many times for it to be a coincidence. I think the storage freezer or something must be bad. I simply buy chicken elsewhere. It's a great store and I shop there often.

If you're allergic to wheat and gluten this isn't a store that tends to cater to folks with allergy issues. No gluten free or keto options at all.

I really love this store!!! The meat (i.e. ground beef, steaks, roasts etc.) is great quality in comparison of area stores. Its not disorganized or dirty and the employees are always polite. I dont get all of my weeklies here due to some things are higher priced, but! I do love the sales, meats and the quick stop items needed on my list.

The store was very clean and well stocked. The staff is very friendly and very helpful. And the prices are awesome. I truly had a very good experience and will definitely shop there again as I have recently moved to this area.

Employees are a little more friendlier and It's a clean store but prices are so high. I gave 3. 69 for a box of crackers. That disturbs my sleep. The rich are getting richer n the poorer are getting poorer.

I like shopping here for their sales. Not a large selection in the fruits n veggies as per Krogers. They have a wonderful deli where they're known for their fabulous chicken salad, and hot foods for takeout. Clean, courteous staff. Plenty of parking w newly created more handicap spaces.

I like to go to Pennington's because it's near the house in the very reasonable nerves start on their groceries but most of all the reason I like to go there if they have wonderful friendly service the dailies very dark very good very very reasonable process they are the best a place to shop for groceries in flatwoods thank you

Favorite place to shop (this review was for the Aldi's in town... Not sure how it got on the Food Fair address...) Fast and easy. Simple choices. Always healthy options since they've gone organic and high health standards!
