Just had the weirdest experience at this Family Dollar. For some background, my wife and I are struggling financially and literally live to the last penny we have in our name each week. All I had left to my name until payday tomorrow was $2 in rolled pennies and some quarters, but I needed some mozzarella cheese to make pizza for dinner tonight. So we went up to the Family Dollar, grabbed some cheese, and went to the check out counter. I apologized that all I had was pennies, explained that I rolled them so I wasn’t shoving loose change into this lady’s hands. I assured her many times I triple counted the coins to ensure it was the correct amount each role. Honestly, if she wanted me to count them for her I would have because I understand people try to pull a quick one on others a lot. She didn’t ask me too, but she did ask me five or more times if they were exactly 50 cents to each role. I assured her that yes it was correctly counted each time with a smile. She then told my wife and I that the owner, Vicki, knows everyone in town and if the roles were incorrect she was gonna do… something? Her tone suggested that if I was even a penny off this Vicki person was going to come after us. I’ve lived down the street for three years and never met a Vicki. Either way, I was already embarrassed that I was buying part of my dinner with change and this interaction didn’t help that. Needless to say, we probably won’t be back.

I love Family Dollar in Fairdale. The people are always nice, and while the aisles are a little clostraphobic they are not as close and much better maintained. They are packed with items, but not as messy as other similar stores in my opinion. Not sure about cost comparisons, but I prefer them over the others.

Everyone at this location always treats me with such respect! Always a welcome smile when I walk in the door! I won’t shop another dollar store in the area. Kudos guys keep up the great work!!!!

Just locked the door in my face. We were getting ready to walk in and someone ran to the door and locked it. I wish I were joking. We were putting on our masks, walking up to the door, an employee appeared when we were on the sidewalk and locked it just before we could get to the door. I called and they said they were closed. It's 3:30 on Monday and there were employees in the store. Talk about making it feel like you don't appreciate your customers.

i love the dollar store- but lately their STOCK seem to be HIT OR MISS… sometimes- there just isn’t much inventory on the shelves-& sometimes- the shelves are simply a chaotic mess!

On November 2 2019 around 8 pm so manager s and cooperate should know how the customers are treated. Was about to purchase a couple of items I ask the cashier to go to the restroom i had to really urinate. She said no public restrooms. I said i understand but I really can't hold it she told me go outside and pee in the parking lot. And just what I did had no other choice. Next time i will not ask, i will go to tge restroom without permission. Is this how a oaying customers are treated or anyone to that matter Family Dollar?
