The last two times I have bought a carton of flavor blasted extra cheddar goldfish in the last week they have been expired. They expired October 1st of last year. That is a long time for them to still be on the shelves and to be getting stocked on the shelves. And then when you call the store nobody answers it all I called probably 5 times and nobody answered at all.

This store is a joke! The shelves are NEVER stocked!!! The whole store is a hot mess. Nothing is ever in the correct stop. Went in for onion powder, no onion powder, but garlic powder was in onion powders stop. None of the employees are nice. You can hardly find them. Only one you really see is the person at the register, but most of the time you have to stand there and wait for the person to come back up front or yell for someone. Never greet you when you come in the door, always on there phone. Never gives you a chance to put your number in for the coupons, when you ask for the person to go back so you can do it, it always seems like a big deal for that person. I avoid going to this one unless I absolutely need something, but then I go in and they don't even have it. The employees aren't even in uniform, I wouldn't even know they worked there if they weren't behind the register. I mean who wears and tank top and basketball shoots and flip flops to work?? This store needs a whole new crew and management as well. The photo attached is one of the employees.

Staff is always friendly. A patron knocked over a glass bottle of salsa. Employee was there ASAP and cleaned it up put the wet sign out, excused the mess and told everyone to be careful incase he missed anything.

They're trying their best at this store, I love shopping here 100% but when I pull up and they're "closed" at 7:10pm for what? And people with bags walk out? That's majorly confusing.

They are real sweet in here but they are always out of stock of everything. It looks like where you’d go if you were trying to buy bare shelves to build your own Dollar General.

I live 2 minutes from this location and try to avoid going here at all costs. I only go to this location if I only need 1 or a few things urgently. Often times, they don’t even have what I’m looking for at the time. Any part of the store that is not food is a mess. The shelves and racks are never stocked. Nothing is organized. Also, I have went a couple times and they were closed before their official closing time. I used to love Dollar General, but this one makes me think twice before going to any of their locations.

This store needs a major make over. Very dirty, empty boxes laying in the floors. While I was checking out the register started rebooting so I had to wait until it was finished so the sale could complete. Cashier told me this had been happening all day but corporate didn't care enough to fix the problem. I won't be going back to this store.

I’m not sure if it’s because of the holidays or what, but this store was just a mess. The employees were yelling at each other from across the store, I feel like it would have been easier to communicate if they had walkie talkies or something better than yelling. One male employee was listening to his headphones while ringing customers up, so he couldn’t hear when people were asking him questions either. I’m not completely failing them because I found what I needed at a great price, but... definitely room for improvement.

This dollar store is always short staffed. They don't keep store stocked. At times you have to carry your stuff out in your hands because they are out of bags. The parking lot is always nasty. The only good thing I can say about this place is the employees are nice

Wasn't paying attention to the time and the workers were so polite. They came over and told me in the nicest way that they were closed. I apologized and went to the register, check the time and they had been closed for 15 minutes! I felt awful for keeping them after closing! I apologized again and again. Both workers smiled and said they didn't mind. Unbelievably polite about it and even let me shop longer before telling me. Great customer service!

Whos is writing these reviews? This store is awful. Never stocked, always closing early, registers never work right or at all. The store is always a mess. I dont understand why they are still open. Or how they make any money. It is a waste of time to even stop in there for items. And the employees would rather smoke outside than come in and help customers. They should be in there cleaning and organizing maybe it wouldnt be so bad. Where is the owner? Must not care that much about the store to let it be ran this way.

The most consistently bad store I've ever been in. Looks like the store has been totally ransacked, there's stuff all over the floors, all over the shelves. Q lot of bare shelves but a lot of mess. Literally stuff everywhere and all trash cans in and out have mountains of trash piled on top. The one employee I saw looked so stressed out!

I love this store. Some of the staff here are so friendly, nice, patient. Some of the staff are somewhat standoffish for no reason but I think some people were just raised that way and don't know any better.

This store has a high turnover. With that being said everything seems unorganized and you have to pick and choose times you visit. Otherwise, don't be surprised if the line isn't insanely long. They do a good job of taking care of the customer though.

For 4 days i have been interesting and most cleaning stuff is gone and no bleach at all not name brand or generic anywhere. Abd clothes every where no nail stuff. Its just went to hell!

Not my normal Dollar General. Just ran in to grab two items. The lay out was backwards. The store was a bit cramped. Hard to push a cart. Near the front of the store a.verbal argument broke out over personal issues. I had thought to grab some cards, but it felt uncomfortable, so I waited for one of the ppl to leave and I dashed up front to get checked out and left. Not my store and I won't be back.

I was interested in working for dollar general on 3rd street. There was a sign up on front window u were hiring. The store manager told me they were not hiring. Said that sign or other stores even though she was the manager she also proudly told me that she did the hiring for other stores however she would not give me an application I am 62 years old however I have a good work ethic she dissed me and would not give me an application because of my age I think that's discrimination

Even though the stores items are in total disarray and there is only one cashier working the checkout line when there should be like 2 or 3 lines open, i liked the place. Its a congregation spot down in that area for locals.

Great customer care. I happened to be in there when they were having an issue with a customer transaction, but the manager came up took over the customer and the cashier jumped over to another register to help the line. They apologized for my wait and the gentleman was quick to ring me up and get me out the door!

The store Manger Jana is vile. There is a colony of Ferrell cats. That animal rescues have been providing food for and shelter in cold months. Every single employee and manager who has worked there has always been happy to let this continue. Till she happened. She won't let these little homeless animals to be Givin food or shelter and insist on killing them. That Is her solution. Disgusting makes dg look bad. And she is being shared all over fb. Hope it was worth it Jane to hurt cats during the holidays.

Dollar General is a good store to go to. They put the stores in good locations where there isn't many stores to serve the surrounding area. They do not carry everything like the big chain store but they carry stuff where you do not have to go out of town to the big stores. Unless it is like hamburger or steaks. But they carry the milk that my daughter has to drink. We go there often to get things for the home. Will continue to go to the Dollar General

I walk in wearing scrubs and get treated awesome. I walk in that weekend in normal clothing and they tell me they have to keep my purse behind the cash register so i don't try to steal anything..... I came in 3 days ago wearing scrubs carrying the same purse and nothing was said. I think my reviews say more about Fairdale than the people who work there.

Big store but the selection of quality merchandise was slim. Even for a dollar general... Tip: Empty shelves lead to empty aisles. Customers want options!
