We love our little Arabella adopted April 15th!! The staff is amazing I had no problems with communication. She answered all my questions and setup a meet & greet quickly with us and was able to take her home that day! She had told us about medical concerns previously and we took her the next day to our Vet which we had schedule prior to even meeting with the puppy to make sure she would be seen soon as possible as we take all our pets for route check ups. Only issue she had was hookworms which are not visible and common in puppies as they are all born with worms it was easy to treat and I had let the rescue know of the hookworms and they began treatment for all their other rescues.

I adopted my sweet Odin from ky paws when he was 8 weeks old and we had him for 7 months and when we took him to my moms to visit he caught Parvo I immediately called Patricia, because I didn’t know what to do and that sweet angel help me nurse our baby back to health because I could afford the vet at the time. Even though it was my fault and none of her own she still went above for a dog that she placed with a family. They truly do gods work. Look how happy and healthy he is now. Thank you Ky paws!

I didn't buy or adopt a puppy from them . I checked out the adoption application and it's 400 Dollars plus a 26 dollar fee to visit the puppy for 30 minutesPlus all animals in the home had to have their shots before u could adopt a puppy from them.I also checked out the reviews and I was a little bit concerned about Parvo because it seemed like there was a lot of people who adopted a puppy and it ended up having Parvo.I wanted a puppy and provide it a forever home and make it part of our family and provide it's needs in each way. I done some checking around and most places and their adoption fee is around 300 dollars and that's it. The puppy I wanted was already adopted and I chose another one Squeaks was her name, and mind you I live 2 hours away from them and so I looked around closer to my home and I finally found a little girl who was in Huntington WV about 1and half hour from me and I adopted her and we have been together for about 3 weeks now and she is absolutely perfect for me and my family. To me I just didn't want to take the chance on adopting a puppy that may or may not have PARVO when u get it and it gets sick later. Please do yr research before you do anything and read the reviews as well. My little Abigail is 4.4 pounds and is in perfectly good health and we just got our shots and health check and she is doing great 😃I got a message from them saying the 2 puppy was adopted and they were working on the 2 batch ( whatever that means). I explained to whomever I was chatting with on messenger that I already found a puppy and I wasn't interested anymore. I sent a picture of our new family member as well and the response I got back was and I.. quote....We can take her! Are you serious? I couldn't believe that. I told the person on messenger. She is NOT available to Adopt I already adopted her and provided her a forever home. (Needless to say I didn't like that at all ) Anyways I'm very happy with the puppy i found and adopted her Abigail.. and were blessed with her. That's my baby girl Abby.

The owners are very caring animal lovers! They make you feel very welcome with their sweet little meet and greet area!! Where you get to meet your new little family member and get to know them. All the adoption fees are a donation that goes right back into the rescue helping them save even more doggy lives and is well worth it!! They reach out to so many other rescues as well helping them however they can!! We got our sweet Arabella there and she gets along fantastic with our other pup Mazikeen!!

Very nice people. Took a litter of puppies that were surrendered to me and I had no room for. They also gave me some puppy pads, dog food, and other essential items needed to care for the many I'm caring for.

Got Mowgli today, Patricia and Jarred were very nice and professional. Mowgli had a good car ride home, well behaved. The property the dogs are kept on is nicely laid out and clean. Mowgli looks and seems very healthy. Thanks! He keeps tiring himself out and sleeping. HahaLoves his kennel.

Everything about adopting our pup from Kentucky Paws was wonderful. I loved just how caring they are for the animals in their care and how you can just tell that they are passionate for finding good homes for the dogs.

im conflicted on my review because the lady who runs this was very nice and seemed to care about her animals but that is where my positive review stops. My son and I drove over 2 hours to pick up a puppy we had chosen. The pup was very active and the lady offered to check for PARVO before we took the pup home. The results were positive for parvo and this was just one week after a previous person wrote a review of getting a dog form this rescue with parvo. I offered to take the pup then with intentions of taking it directly to my vet for treatment. NO the lady wanted to watch the dog for about 5-10 days. I agreed and we left. This is where the horrible communication started or didn't start. After 5 days I emailed, Text, Called this rescue at least 5 times a day for 5 days straight NO RESPONSE. On the 10th day I waned to drive to go get our puppy but didn't want to drive 2 hours again. Then I look on pet finder and the puppy we wanted was back on the website and said the dog was available for adoption. We had already put a deposit down for out appointment which we kept. FINALLY I get a text saying the lady was sick the whole week BUT she also said she didn't know if I was still interested in adopting and had many people wanting to adopt her. COME ON lady I was waiting on you to respond to me to come get the pup and she was MIA nothing no call no text no email and she said she was sick but not sick enough to put the puppy back on the adoption list then had the audacity to ask what my intentions were on my adoption. I told her I would be there the next day in the am but needed her to confirm since I was driving so far. She did not respond again to any text phone or emails for another 5 days. At this point I was beyond irritated. She may be good with her pets and have good intentions but her lack of communication skills drove me away from her. I would suggest that anyone wanting to do business with this shelter to think very carefully before using her. Not saying she is bad or her animals are bad but anyone who can't communicate with people has issues especially in her business. I hope the lil pup is doing well and gets adopted. But this lady was something else to deal with. Again not a bad person but just very bad business ethic period.

This place is great. I was there as they were cleaning. They are very caring for the dogs that they have. One pup was active but a staff member said it was not eating so they had to rush to the vet to see why. I was still there when they came back and the pup was fine. They do pay attention to the dogs and the frist signs of sickness they acknowledge it and check it out. After reading the reviews I personally think that some people should not get a pup if you can't be responsible and know a pup is like a child they get sick. Also the rescue can't be responsible for getting pictures of the puppies parents if they dont have the parents. People just drop puppies off.

Wonderful rescue out of a private home. Patricia takes and rescues all sorts of dogs, all ages. Her place out in the country but easy access is well maintained and all the animals seemed happy, good with people, healthy and clean! She had lots of puppy litters. My lil girl was from an unanticipated event and the owner surrendered them. Kentucky Paws Inc took them in. My girl was calm for the ride home, happy & comfortable, and surprised me by using a puppy pad in a new home without any prompting! Now that’s training & care. In any case, I’m sure Kentucky Paws Inc needs donations to keep doing what they do well. I know I’ll be helping a worthwhile org! Adopt, don’t shop!

Filled out application and we were approved with no vet check or anything. Scheduled a meet and greet for the next day as we were coming from Illinois. We asked Patricia for photos of the parents and never received photos. I tried calling, texting and emailing. I paid the $26 hold fee. No response at all from this “rescue” and I use the word “rescue” loosely.Update: The rescue responded after posting my review via email and apologized for sending the photos to the wrong phone number. They did not address why they failed to respond to my multiple text messages or voice mails. After emailing back and forth a few times, I asked if the puppy I was interested in was still available. No response. If I could leave zero stars, I would. Do yourself a favor and read the rest of the reviews. I wish I would have prior to dealing with these people, but you see a puppy/dog on Petfinder that you are interested in and your heart goes to applying for it.

Another case of Parvo, and the rescue will not respond to the owner's text. The owner is concerned for other puppies that may be at risk, and other adopters who find out within days their new puppy has parvo. The adopters drove over 2 hours both ways because they fell in love with the pup's picture. Now, by the grace of God the little puppy has made it through 48 hours. We pray for a positive outcome. Obviously this is a problem as another recent review cited parvo as well. This facility needs a clean bill of health prior to adopting out or taking in another animal.

We arrived to pick up our puppy and were told it had worms and kennel cough, which was not disclosed to us prior to arriving despite working with the rescue for two weeks to arrange getting the puppy and paying a $150 deposit to hold the puppy. The dog vomited all over my car the entire way back. Within 4 hours of having the puppy, we had to have it admitted for parvo. 4 days later, the dog is still in the veterinary hospital. When I informed the rescue, I was told that the dog did not have parvo, that it must be a false positive, that it must be this or that, which is obviously, 4 days later, not the case. The puppy may not pull through, so we’re going to be out hundreds if not thousands of dollars, which she is going to pay none of because we couldn’t take the puppy two hours back to her vet because she was too sick, and may lose the puppy anyway. She told me that it will be weeks before she can even give us our deposit money back. I am heartbroken for us and the other animals in her care.

We had been talking with Kentucky PAWS about the potential adoption of one of their dogs. We did end up adopting a different dog, but Patricia was very understanding and genuinely happy for our family to find a dog. Their heart is in the right place to help animals find homes. I would definitely recommend this organization to anyone looking to adopt a rescue.

Tried to get them to help rescue a dog. Called NUMEROUS times and left messages, got no call backs. Messaged on Facebook, they finally responded, said they were full and to post on FB and tag them so other rescues would see. Did so, got no response from anyone. Messaged again looking for additional help, no response. Finally had to take the dog to the pound.I would have thought people in the business of rescuing dogs might have been a little more concerned and helpful.

KY Paws r great, they’re the true meaning of a rescue. I’ve dealt with numerous rescues in my efforts to help with the animal abuse problems in KY and by far this is the best. Their heart is truly in it for all the right reasons.

Here's an idea. Instead of just pictures of adaptable pets on the website. How about an actual description! Breed, age, etc.. something!
