The place is just a year old and it's trashy. The General Manager is always in a foul mood and always is posting things about her employees on Facebook. She is very unprofessional and has her employees working while she is either outside smoking and on her phone or inside on her phone. When corporate asks why things aren't done, she then blames her employees. She also discusses personal matters about her employees with all other employees and when something is brought to her attention or took to her boss, she then retaliates against that person. This store has had some great workers and other managers but she runs them off. This store is booming but only reason people in this community say they use it is because of it's convenience and it being so close to where they live, or the deals that they have. As a homeowner in this town, I just have to say it makes this town look awful.

Staff was nice. Store is crowded with merchandise. That is not the staff's fault. The store is too small for the amount they receive. They either need a bigger store and storage room or more trucks coming in on different days. The more trucks with a reasonable amount of merchandise would allow the workers to put it up and customers room to shop.

Oh where to begin? This store although newer is a hot mess! Definitely need training and help to get this store in shape. The store can be great with a managerial staff who actually care. Stocking,facing and over all customer service needs much work

There is a good selection room of products for a reasonable price if you can get your cart down the isles. The workers leave stocking carts out Everywhere blocking Ok see and products on shelves. A lot of times especially in the garden section yard ornaments or pots are flipped out into the isles. You have to clean up the store yourself to make it down an isle. They should save stocking for after closing or use smaller carts at a time.

Just moved to Dawson. The store itself is messy and unorganized. The staff are friendly. You can tell they are overwhelmed and need more help. They seem stressed especially when you standing at the counter waiting to pay, and the staff are talking about how fellow employees are not showing up or quitting on them. Other than that, its a good store.

I'm so disappointed that our brand new Dollar General is already dirty and disorganized!! The isles are cluttered up with stuff that needs to be put on the shelves and the shelves are bare. It's obvious that the employees aren't doing their job. The check out line is always long with only one register open while other employees just stand around and do nothing. You'd think with it being new, they'd take pride in keeping it clean!!!

Pretty organize stays clean but stocking issues still also self check out lane does more work or someone at all time needs to be at register nit out on floor watching for people or elderly needing assistance no matter what

They do not let you use the bathrooms. They say they are out of order, but they have been out of order for well over a month I have asked a few different times they always say they are out of order. If so I wonder where the employees go cause a trip across the street from Everytime they had to go would take at least twenty minutes each time. When they say out of order I DON'T SPEND MY MONEY THERE.

You can always count on waiting in a long line at this store. I have even seen them have as many a 5 employees working, but still only 1 on the register. Hope you're not in a hurry when you stop by.

This store is number one in several areas. Number one in understaffed establishments. Number one in disorganization. Number one in being unprofessional. I usually feel very sorry for the lone cashier checking out a line of more than 10 customers. The machines are GROSSLY outdated and the whole building really just needs a makeover. I usually drive out of the way to a different town, but the South Main location in Madisonville isn't much better.

Went in at 5 PM and only one person was working. The store was a mess. The store was really nice when it first opened, but now it's a dump.

You feel dirty walking in here..half the time you cant walk thru the store due to boxes and merchandise needing to be stocked. Never enough workers . Always a big slow line to check out

The Dawson Springs ky Dollar general store is a poor store it needs to have new management I go in there several times a week and every time the manager is always setting in her car by the front door with either the music up loud or on her phone. Today on 7-18-17 @ 5:15 pm the lady working the register paged the manager several times to do a refund she finally had to go to the door and motion for the manager to come in to do 3 returns by this time there were probably 10 customers in line waiting to check out after the manager did the returns she went back to her car to get on her phone instead of helping to get the customers checked out.

Out of stock repeatedly, aisles crowded and unorganized, the ceiling and light fixtures are falling down by the toilet paper aisle. Staff seems miserable and scarce.

The manager there is a kick butt mngr, turning that store around and doing a great job..even being understaffed it's turning into a great store..great job to the mngr. To mngr June. Great work

It's new but it's ran by the Same people it's always hard to walk around in the store it's messy inside and outside I rather drive to Madisonville to a nice and clean store

Filthily NEVER EVER has good stock what they do have is disorganized you can't get a cart down the isle because of clutter on YES I SAID ON THE FLOOR sad thing is that it is not only trash it's MOSTLY MERCHANDISE
