4/27/24 I walk in this location, 1 PM. Looking for a bookcase, see none I like, but do see a raised wooden planter I liked. One they have is already assembled, but it will not fit in my car, so I opt for one unassembled.Now the adventure begins. NO employees to be found. 2 up front at cash registers, nobody else. Small store, but NOBODY to be found on a Saturday. I wait. 8 people in line up front to check out. I wait longer. Still no one. I figure I’ll come back. Leave. Go to Hobby Lobby, Tractor Supply, PetSense, Feeder Supply, Kroger, TJ Maxx, PennStation Subs, then back to Big Lots on way home. Walk in, one person at registers up front, one at computer in furniture department. 3:30 PM. SCORE!Go get tag from assembled feeder, take it to associate I saw at computer in furniture department. I am 15 feet away, he turns around, heads towards the back of the store. I follow, not wanting to holler for him since I am in public and civilized. He go in restroom. Ugh…. I decide to sit in a chair in the furniture department that has a direct eye line to hallway where restrooms are at. When he comes out of the restroom, he will see me sitting there, waiting.He conducts his business. Comes out, immediately turns away from me, go into small supply closet by restrooms, comes out with a bottle of 409 Cleaner and some rags. Looks up and sees me and nods his head as a “hello” greeting. GOES BACK IN THE BATHROOM. I pull out my phone and decide to time this one. 15 minutes later, comes out of the bathroom, turns into supply closet, deposits used rags and 409 bottle, shuts closet door. Starts walking down hallway back onto sales floor and towards me. FINALLY!!! Makes eye contact with me, still sitting in chair, tag in hand. He turns immediately right, and walks along the back wall of the store. I get up, and decide to give chase. He then turns right again, walking through swinging metal doors into back area of store where customers are not allowed, away from me. 6’5” 260+ pounds, balding, and complete disregard for me as a customer.I have been in this store near 30 minutes now, twice, and ignored. Made eye contact with, and still ignored. I immediately throw my tag on the floor, grind it a bit with my heel, and walk towards the front, where the one other employee I saw still sits ensconced at his cash register. Out the doors I go.I am glad I quit my job in Danville. Now I have no reason to ever come to this pitiful excuse for a town again, nor have to drive by what they are passing off as a Big Lots discount chain store. I will not be darkening their doorways again anytime soon.

Decent store. There is a surprisingly wide variety of items available. Furniture, bedding, cleaning supplies, food, lawn furniture, picture frames, kitchen appliances, etc... bathrooms are below average. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

Bought and paid for some furniture and was told to be back and could pick it up at 12. Had an appointment at 1:30 to go to and couldn't get help to get my furniture out to me so I could load it before my appointment.

Can someone please tell me why merchandise is placed on shelving where there is discount signage everywhere and you get to the checkout and it's not the discounted price. Big Lots has to be the only store that doesn't honor the signage. This is not a one off (a customer putting a product down on the wrong shelf) this is many of the same item spevifically placed there. This has happened repeatedly especially at the close out of a specific season.Either tighten up your process or honor the signage.

There is a young lady here that helps load all large items for customers. Tall, skinny blonde hair, and country as can be. Wish I knew her name so to give this compliment in her name. She is an amazing person. Always helpful, always nice, always working hard. She is the backbone of this store and has been for years.

Great place to find some great deals . They have tons of home decor stuff that isn’t overly priced great for first time home owners or your first apartment. Tons of good snacks to load up on and holiday/promo stuff.

Love going here!The lady who sells the furniture in the back is amazing and helpful. She has the sweetest personality and will make you smile the entire time. I love the 90 day same as cash option and will definitely be back for that deal. I have purchased a couch,rug, and entertainment center and have not had a single problem with any of them.If you plan on having it delivered be aware that you may have to help the man. I helped the gentleman bring the couch in the house. This was no problem for me but may be for someone who depends on the gentleman to do it for them.

Remodel certainly improves appeal & changed layout saves on shopping time time. Customer's time is important & shouldn't be wasted trying to navigate through clutter. Store looks great!

I went to purchase a sofa, only had the one in the showroom floor. I asked if I could get it and was told no. There was no more in the surrounding county stores and I would have had to wait several weeks to get it and so I didn’t purchase the sofa. I’m a loyal customer and was not happy they wouldn’t sell me the one I wanted when I know people who they have sold floor model to in the past.

Good workers, Carroll has excellent customer skills and was extremely helpful. Was in the marker for a new bed and he stopped at nothing to insure we were taken care of. I would actually rate 7/5

The staff are always kind and the furniture is surprising great! When I bought my husband a recliner, the staff helped me pick the correct one for his height (I didn't even realize that was important) and the sectional sofa I bought 6 years ago is still in great shape. I always find a hidden gem in this store.

Nice place, we bought one of the therapeutic mattresses on sale for $500 it is going to such a better sleep cant wait to start sleeping in it. The one on display was awesome! Ours should be in this week...Feeling like a kid at Christmas 😁

Friendly and nice. Bought a recliner and they could not have been more helpful. Paid for it in the furniture dept. And just got a drink up front still received the same treatment at both ( cashier did NOT know about the larger transaction)

Never been to this location, prices were higher than Wal-Mart on most items, the staff was friendly & helpful, but i probably won't be back to this one. Of course the prices at the Wal-Mart in Danville are higher than neighboring locations as well, so you can be the judge. And i DID purchase a Bluetooth party speaker here for $25 that I'm happy with! ✌💜😁

This place is awesome!! Was purchasing a fireplace and it accidentally got sold before we could pick it up but before I had a chance to get upset, the furniture manager Cain went to every measure to make it right. What great customer service and excellent customer service!!! We would definatlty recommend this place!!!

Be sure to check out this recently remodeled Department Store. There's a lot of variety to meet everyone's needs. An excellent retailer to buy furniture, bed and bath supplies, and a good variety of grocery items to choose from. I purchased some of the best curtains that you can install in your home here!
