Never thought the day would come that I would give a five-star review to a grocery store of this type. This grocery store serves the Cynthiana market. They have a pretty good selection of discount groceries and you are able to save a lot of money going here.

Usually go there for a quick stop, get microwave meals, I don't really cook for myself since my wife died, so it sucks. The ones I picked up that day maybe thawed and refroze or something, almost made me sick wound up throwing a couple out after tasting them. Shop there with care for frozen foods!!

Very cheap food. They sell a 4 pack of these mini pizzas and I love them, they are the main reason I shop here. The ground beef isnt bad, but the quality of their steaks are poor.

While Ken's Fresh Foods has closed next door, we still get most of our food from Save-a-Lot. Inexpensive, good generics, produce, meat, dairy; they have what we need each week.

In Cynthiana I goto the Ken's side not the S.A.L side. After S.A.L came into Carlisle it went to hell. The old Grocery Crockets had a deli, sold stamps, cashed checks, much much more. The big part their brands are not named Brand. Everyone takes named brand over genetics on certain things. It killed the town when they came in, selection in Carlisle is bad enough not enough anything. Especially jobs for more money to be in a town where if there were more jobs, more jobs, more businesses, more selection.
