This is a hidden gem! I grew up not too far away and never went here. Came on a day trip while visiting family and loved it!They have mini-golf and peddle boats that both go for just $3 a person! To see the Log Rock, you can either drive right up to it or take a short hike.Nice campground, and the lake has lots of fish.Good place for family gatherings or large groups since they have big pavilions available.Very friendly staff! Can't recommend this park enough!Restrooms: Several restrooms in the parkPicnic area: Wonderful place for a picnic!

This is a lovely place. Awesome views from the many lookouts. Lots of places to stop and grill out and there is a camping area. Lots of trails, but didn't walk any of them. Lots of bear signs, but unfortunately didn't see any.

Took a group of children nearing 40. The staff did not know we were coming. The two ladies, didn’t get their names, were extremely friendly & helpful. They had a lot of patience with the children & helped them repeatedly when needed. The duck pond and surrounding area was clean (duck pond and park). Bathrooms were immaculate as well. 10/10 recommend. ❤️

Amazing park! Very clean and well maintained campground areas. Sherry was super helpful on a perfect campsite. Whippoorwills, towhees and flying squirrels were my nighttime serenade. Beautiful sunset views.

First, Sherri is the nicest and most helpful person I’ve ever talked to at a campsite. We visited on a short camping trip. The park is beautiful. The scenery is spectacular. The camping areas and facilities are very well maintained. All the staff was super helpful. They have eight or ten primitive sites. Maybe six of them are along the road where the picnic shelters are located, with clean bathrooms in east walking distance. Full shade, mulch tent pad, room for one vehicle to park. Each has a fire ring with a cooking grate on the fire ring. No electric, no water. Two are located across the pond from the gift shop. Two or three more up the hill, accessed directly off the park road. All these appear to have a similar setup to the ones adjacent to the picnic shelters. We stayed over a holiday weekend and we were the only campers in the picnic shelter area. Kinda weird cause not what we’re accustomed to but nicely silent!Only regret here is that we couldn’t stay longer, looking forward to going back. Thanks, Kingdom Come!

I too wish there were more than 5 stars as expressed in another post! We made a day trip that was about 4 hours round trip from TN and definitely worth the trip. The park ranger was a delightful lady with a passion for her job and KY parks (especially her own). She suggested areas for us to particularly hike to in our limited time and we were not disappointed. The dramatic rock formations capture your eye at every turn. Some of my pictures in the natural rock amphitheater look like artwork with the different rock colors. We are already looking forward to returning in the spring when the rhododendron are in bloom.

Great place to enjoy a beautiful sunny day with friends and family. They gave a pond with paddle boats and fishing. Numerous trails and hiking, not to mention a cave Amphitheater. There's a stone gazebo overlooking the mountains and a new entrance into the park. There's a natural sandstone bridge as well and mini golf. Restrooms were clean and the park was quite.

Cleanest park! This hide-away spot has the most to offer: hiking trails, horse trails, overlook views, camping, fishing, paddle boats, picnic areas, play-grounds, minature golf and a couple of windy roads to test your driving skills (HWY 119 was fun and 2010)! And don't miss Little Shepard the road is literally on the ridge, narrow pass, but totally worth it!

Gorgeous, clean, free, lake, 2 playgrounds, nice landscaping and fencing. Multiple overlooks. Plenty of primitive camping. Lots of picnic tables. Swimming area at the lake. Delightful place. Don't miss it if you are in the area. Petrified log was gigantic. Everything was immaculate and we'll maintained.

Such a beautiful place. The mountains are so peaceful and beautiful, especially right now with the Fall foliage! You can camp, hike, bike, fish and more. All of the hiking trails are short, pretty easy and well maintained.

WOW!!!!! What a great place and super friendly staff. I didnt get the ladies name at the camp store (short dark hair and nice as can be) but she was super friendly and very helpful. Also Park Ranger Mike was awesome! He is honestly there to help not just be the park police. I will say that do not get laxed on bear protocol. We heard them all night and they are in the immediate area. They weren't a problem but they are there.

It is a very beautiful park. There are horse trails, walking trails, children play areas, picnics, and lookouts, but most of it is a drive. On the road, some drive their four-wheelers in it, yet most of it is trucks and cars. I definitely recommend going for scenery

Really beautiful park that is well kept. We stayed in the primitive camping but there's access to restrooms and water close by. A very kind park ranger checked on us and gave us dry wood. There's a few gorgeous outlooks where you can see the mountains and some nice trails as well. It's close to Blanton forest as well and we spent part of the day there.

Totally love this place!Yesterday hubby and I drove over from Somerset just to set on top of Creech Overlook and watch the sun set. (We drive over often to explore the are and so enjoy meeting amazing people!)I'd wanted to do this for sometime and just never got to. Yesterday it all came together. We got there early and set up our camp chairs to better absorb the sun setting. What a glorious experience!!I'll never forget it!

I'm not putting 3 stars because of anything wrong with the park I am because Everytime I have called to ask some questions about something important no one seems to be capable of picking up the phone which I know there is nothing wrong with the phone lines nor is there anything wrong with the people who work there so therefore there is no reason to let the phone keep ringing or apparently the line is busy y'all need to start picking up your phone calls

Beautiful scenery on top of Pine Mountain. Also drive the 14 miles of the Little Shepherd's Trail to HWY 119. You will follow the ridgeline of Pine Mountain with numerous scenic overlooks and if your really luck you might see one of the many black bears that live in the Hensley WMA.
