The doctors are very caring and gentle with my pets, and specially patient with my grumpy cat Hexie. They have also been great with my new puppy Frankie and really taking the time explain everything I need to know. The clinic is very cute and clean and I love that it has a separate waiting area for dogs and cats. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and prices are fair! And best of all, it's only 5 minutes away!

I recently made an appointment for my aging Bearded Dragon and was met with the opinion that I had before I made the visit. It was agreed that with her condition that her time was going to be near and I had to make the decision no pet owner wants to make. The staff and the doctor were very understanding through the process and if it could be made easier, they certainly tried. I would definitely recommend them for exotic animals as that it what I have currently, but even more so because they understand the emotional attachment that we have to the extended family members we keep and love.

I CANNOT recommend Crestwood Animal Hospital enough. I took my 3 year old pup to them for physical rehab and they were the kindest and most caring people. Going there became part of our day 2x a week for 2 months. He loved his techs and I can’t thank them enough for the love they gave us both. Every staff member I encountered had a positive attitude and were so nice. The environment was very welcoming and friendly. I’m very pleased with our experience!

I can not say enough great things about Dr Kendel Ross DVM! The level of care he provided to us can not be overlooked. He saw 2 of my cats -pretty life threatening problems, and really helped them both. They are thriving now!He is kind, and easy to talk to. He also called us to check on how they were doing and supplied further care over the phone. Very considerate person. The staff were extremely pleasant to deal with. We will always use them!

I have been taking my pets here for a couple of years now- we have had a wonderful experience every time. Today we had to put down our dog and while it was one of the most difficult things that my husband and I had to do, the staff made the process go as smoothly as possible. They took the time to answer all of our questions and listen to our concerns. We will forever be greatful to Dr. Ty and Cassandra for all of their help and support. They have a wonderful group of people there and I completely trust them to take care of my pets.

I absolutely love this place. Every single time I've brought any of my pets, they take excellent care of them. I've had everything from check ups, emergencies, and even a pet euthanized here and they always treat me and my animals with the most respect and care possible. It's also where I was bringing my guinea pigs, and they even care for them too. I absolutely love all the vets here, the staff, everyone is always so nice and genuine. The wait isn't ever very long, they get stuff done in a timely manner. They are a little more pricey but I also can't even complain about that because you pay for the care you get. I don't want to take my animals anywhere else. I would highly suggest this clinic, I love them and will be using them forever.

I am truly begging the clientele that attempts to go to this Vet hospital to call around and and do your homework before you go to this location. This place is absolutely and positively all about the money and because of their location and the clientele that surrounds their business they get it and are not shy asking for it. I am positive this review will not hurt them based on all the other reviews that said the same thing that i did but when times are tough i am positive they will go out of business. Please do not give them that satisfaction and visit another vet, you really do owe it to yourself and so does your pet. They don't care about you or your pets and it is all about THE MONEY! I would like to go into detail but is not worth it and it's disgusting what they did to my wife and daughter. PS when they say your pet needs surgery please get a second opinion and don't take your children with you! Their tactics are pathetic and i will do my very best to tell everyone i know to STAY AWAY FROM CRESTWOOD VET HOSPITAL.

My experience at Crestwood Animal Hospital was positive from start to finish, and I do not have enough good things to say about the staff. Dr. Suddeth and Lindsay were kind, knowledgeable, informative, and took amazing care of my leopard gecko. They provided me with a detailed treatment plan, walked me through the entire process, and explained things to me thoroughly. The staff at the front desk were also so so kind. I am grateful for CAH and will be bringing my furry (and scaly) friends here from now on!!!

Crestwood Animal Hospital was the only veterinary service within a 250 mile radius that would work with me and help me get my dog the surgery he needed after he was hit by a car. It was definitely not about the money, it was about the well-being of the animal. I will always bring my animals here.

Absolutely care more about money than helping animals. Would not help my cat without charging me additional office visits even though the medicine they prescribed wasn't working. I was just trying to help a feral cat and had limited funds to do so. They would do nothing even though I spent $200 plus meds 3 weeks ago, plus I've been a client with my indoor pets for years. Client beware. They don't care about you or your pet at the front office. I will say the vet and tech that I had seen were very caring.

Crestwood Animal Hospital used to be good. But for the last year they have been screwing up on my dogs prescriptions. They always try to blame it on chewy pharmacy. I believe them the first time however, it became very clear that it was their office messing things up. The doctor even wrote the wrong prescription and sent it to chewy and chewy called me to find out why the prescription had changed. Then it took almost 2 weeks for Crestwood to fix the problem. Then they wouldn’t send the prescription to chewy. They made me come up there pick up a prescription which once again they wrote wrong and I had to take it to an apothecary in Norton Commons and wait for over an hour to get it filled. All they had to do was call chewy like I ask them to. I will not be going back there ever again. Their prices are a lot higher than everyone else but I was still going however, messing up on my dogs Prescriptions is a definite no no. Not satisfied, I won’t be back.

dr ty is an absolute angel. he always has your pets best interest in mind and is always willing to educate. hes been treating my dog for lymphoma and is very thorough and patient with her, i cannot say enough good things about him. the staff in the building is never bad but some do have communication issues internally with eachother somewhat often so i'd suggest being sure of your own pets plan and relaying that to whoever is seeing your furry patient!

I go to this place because they have vets who are knowledgeable with rabbits. But trying to get medication refilled seems like pulling teeth due to slow response time and mixups about the dosages. So frustrating to say the least.

Everything they do is to the HIGHEST standards. They care about YOU and your fur babies! Their attention to detail and willingness to diagnose the actual problem is what saved my 10 week old baby! Even though they couldn’t treat her diaphragmatic hernia in house they where able to get her transferred to another facility immediately (let me remind you that this was later in the evening). Time was not on our side…within hours they diagnosed the problem and she was under the knife! She is now 14months old and loving life! Also, the fact that they stood behind and supported my decision to take the risk vs just putting her down means THE WORLD (as they did not do the surgery so it wasn’t about the money)!***SEE PHOTO BELOW***

I drove here, from nicholasville because there was something wrong with my snake Nala. They were the ONLY ones willing to see her that day. He euthanized her so she wouldnt be in any pain. The Vet was amazing. No sugar coating, told me my snake was in fact dying, offered to do a blood test but told me it was my call. He also waived the exam costs. He was the sweetest in such a terrible time for me. I'll never forget how amazing the care we got here was.

Since losing our past vet in Shelbyville KY, which in itself was very traumatic since we had all three of our dogs there for over 5 years. But coming to Crestwood Animal Hospital we were welcomed with open arms. Trying to make the transition as easy as possible. We have felt welcome and our dogs are safe with these folks. The only problem is the travel distance of 35 miles which is NOT the fault of Crestwood Animal Hospital, it is just a burden we have to live with to make sure our dogs get the BEST care.

Finding an exotic animal vet close to where we live was impossible. We found Crestwood Animal Hospital online and saw the good reviews and decided it was worth the hour drive.We were originally extremely satisfied with the amount of caution and compassion that we received. However, when it came time for our follow up we knew we would be a little late due to traffic, so called to ensure it would not be an issue and we should continue on the way. We were told the 15 minute delay would not be of concern by a gentleman on the phone. Unfortunately when we got there the staff was adamant that it was a problem and we would have to be a work in which could result in a 2 hour wait time. It was very disappointing that we were not informed of this at the time of the call and were told there would not be an issue. While the communication between staff seems to need improvement, our pet is doing much better due to the medicine and changes the vet recommended.

I've been taking my dog to Crestwood Animal Hospital since she was about 1 year old - she is 5 now. (We started in Pewee Valley but Crestwood was closer to home). They are great. Occasionally deal with long wait times but they do what they can and are always pleasant. They also have plenty of room (away from the busy road) to take the dogs out to sniff and go to the bathroom without much fuss.I've had great experiences with them from boarding and grooming (before they stopped offering it) to rehab after our dog had knee surgery. They are always helpful, kind, and treat my dog really well regardless of the fact that she's crazy-energetic. I did have a sour taste in my mouth re: Dr. Suddeth when he chose not to perform surgery on my dog almost 2 years ago because he felt I wasn't comfortable with him as the surgeon. I was SUPER angry at the time but in hindsight, he made the absolute right decision and we wound up going to a board certified surgeon in Louisville and everything went swimmingly and Crestwood Animal Hospital was there every step of the way for her rehab.They also are so good with reminders of vacinnations and providing just all around good care. Yesterday I took my girl in there for her annual wellness visit and to get some updated vaccines and we met Dr. Ty Gillenwaters for the first time and he was AMAZING. My dog who is energetic AF and overly exciteable just loved him. She sat for him, calmed for him, let him check her heartrate, everything. He was like the Brittany whisperer and I hope he never leaves Crestwood. And if he does, I'll follow him.

Our first visit. it was great visit and the staff was awesome. We have a new baby ferret, "Gus", who hurt his foot. After calling around to other vet clinics, no one else had the experience or the facilities (xrays) to take care of little furry friend. CAH was recommended by multiple other vets. This was a 40 minute drive for us but it was well worth the time and traffic. From the very first phone call, the staff was incredibly patient and caring. They gave price estimates right up front. The doctor was amazing. They fit us right in. We have had Gus for less than a week. He wasn't well taken care of by the breeder as he was pretty malnourished and under weight. They thoroughly and patiently educated us on his care. They have an in house pharmacy that filled his meds. There were NO hidden fees, extra charges, emergency fees, up sells, upgrades, pushy sales tactics, etc. Only what was needed. The bill was less than we had anticipated and extremely reasonable.This was our first visit and it was a great experience. I wish I could remember everyone's name but they were all awesome. Highly recommend bringing your pets here. Including your exotic pets like ferrets. They are well worth the drive.

The staff are SUPER🌟We moved to the area a couple of years ago and tried other vets in Oldham county without success. We were driving 40 minutes to our previous vet. Our new puppy was sick and they worked us in on a busy afternoon. Everyone was very kind and pleasant. Best of all our little guy was all better in 24 hours! They are our new vet home for all of our fur-babies.

My little hamster Buttercup got loose and my small dog tried to play with it before we noticed it had escaped it's ball. Needless to say, it didn't turn out well for Buttercup. My hamster made it through the night so I drove an hour to Crestwood from Radcliff to see if Buttercup could be saved but the chances were extremely slim... After evaluating, they euthanized Buttercup for us and brought our little hamster out so we could bury Buttercup at home. They were super fast and very professional! I would recommend this Animal Hospital to anyone I know hands down! I'd love to thank them for their kindness and being so honest, not just try to get money out of their customers like some vets do!
