I hadn't done much research on the actual location, so I drove past it, but we found it pretty easily. The process was very straightforward and didn't take long at all. Everyone with the rescue, including the puppy's foster mom, were super nice and honest about fees and her previous history before coming to the rescue. So I would highly recommend this rescue to anyone looking to add a family member with fur.I also think it's worth noting that, at least the puppy I was interested in, was rescued for a reason. I don't recall the full details, but I know enough to say that the people here truly care about the welfare of the animals above all. I knew we were going to need to establish trust and work with our pup, but she acted like any other puppy after just a day or 2. They did a great job socializing her so that the transition to a new home was fairly easy. They make sure that the adoptive parent(s) are aware of the commitment they're getting into, so if you're hesitant about getting a pet, think about it a little longer. If you wanna contribute to an amazing rescue who is doing great work, this is the one! We drove 2 hours to get our little Pearl and it was 100% worth it. Now my daughter has a little best friend that she can grow up with and we couldn't be happier. 😊❤️

We had a great experience with this rescue. I really appreciate how thorough they are with the vetting/adoption process to make sure that the right pet goes to the right owners. The process was quick and took less than a week from the time we put our application in until we were walking out the door with our new puppy. If you are looking for a new pet, I would highly recommend them.

We adopted little Twizzler from Jamie and the whole process went so smoothly! We saw little Twizzler (her names Luna now) at Petco on Tuesday, filled out an application online and heard from Jamie the very next day! Then we exchanged a few emails throughout the week and scheduled a meet and greet at Petco on Saturday. I got to take home my little baby and Jamie couldn’t have been any sweeter! You can tell how much they really love and care for these animals, and I appreciate Jamie so much!

Had such a good experience with Adopt Me Bluegrass. My wife and i have been searching for a rescue and went to Petco for a meet and greet with dogs from the rescue. There, we spent time with a few dogs but fell in love with Tally. We told them we would sign for her and they said great. And explained the process of adoption. Tally got Spayed the next day and got her shots and i was able to pick her up Wed. It was a seemless process. I highly recommend them.

Adopt Me! Bluegrass was amazing to work with in our adoption process. Megan and the foster mom were very patient with us during the meet and greet and answered all of our questions. Along with our 3 year old who also had a 100 questions! It was a big decision for our family but can’t say enough about how smooth the process went and how at ease we felt. Theresa was so great! I submitted my application to see 2 pups and they were both sweethearts. I can tell these folks care about the animals and really want to find them good homes. My boy Franklin and I are going to make so many memories together thanks to Adopt Me Bluegrass 😊

I would highly recommend avoiding this rescue! They have denied false claims to pet owners for being neglected. What's worse whoever emails the people will show decease animals that would traumatize people who want to adopt. Even though they have no clear intention to do any harm to the animal. On their Facebook, they purposely delete positive to avoid any attention from the Pet owner. If this is how you run a pet rescue then you fail not only to find a home for the animal that they waiting to adopt for who knows how long but to also harass pet owners who just want another member of the family. Again avoid going here and find another rescue place that wants to look for a loving home. Otherwise, the people who will email will show pictures of deceased animals or even worse. That's all I have to say, peace.

Hey, the next time you want to deny someone their application by making false claims of 'neglect' on veterinary care, maybe don't attach a picture of a 'dying dog' to further emphasize your point. Incredibly unprofessional, cruel, and unnecessary. You do NOT know what people's triggers are and there is a way to go about it without traumatizing potential adopters. Shame on you.

I only give them 1 star because there is no way to give them 0 stars! After weeks they denied my application because they said I didn't take care of my 14 year old hound that I just had to put down after 2 years of working with her bad hips and dementia! (I raised her from 10 weeks) We have a horse farm and her vaccines were taken care of by our horse vet when they are on site. They only called the vet that we used when we needed rapid results due to illness or injury. Instead of asking me additional questions they just denied and sent a nasty letter saying it was because I did not take care of my best friend! I am sorry that one of their rescue dogs will miss the opportunity to be my lifelong companion and live on our beautiful facility.

I have only communicated through text message at this point and this is my first time having to deal with the situation of 2 surprise litters. But after just a short conversation they are going to be taking both litters in two weeks span. I hope that making this decision shows these babies that we truly care for their wellbeing and that they go to a home that loves them like we do.

We began the process to adopt a dog from this organization, provided the application, and plenty of information. We were asked about existing pets, and information was provided. They reached out to our Vet, who had no record of the pet, because the pet was under my partner's name, and not my own. We made every attempt to rectify this, and provide records, including offering to take our pets in for a checkup. We were met with absolutely ZERO communication, despite SEVERAL attempts. In the end, our application was declined because we didn't provide records for our existing pets, simply because the organization didn't respond.Because your staff cannot read/send a simple email communication to clarify information, another dog sits and waits. Thirty seconds is all it would've taken, but evidently it's our fault you couldn't log in and respond.If you put half the effort you put into fundraising and pet events into communicating with potential families, there might not be such a homing crisis.If you're considering adopting, maybe look at another local organization, who actually seems to want to home these loving and deserving animals.Response to the owner's response: The application was under C. Klapheke, and was referred by one of your fosters, who has sense decided to no longer foster for your organization due to the disorganized state of the organization. There is nothing to address, no way you can fix what was done. This is simply a warning to the community about how our process was handled, and hope it motivates your organization to do better in the future, because these animals depend on you and your staff.

I was trying to buy a puppy from this place, I eventually managed to set up a visit, when I finally brought my dogs up to visit her at the end of the visit they told us everything went well and that I’d be getting the dog, however the next day they informed me that they determined that my house would be unfit for her, this obviously made me angry so I wrote them an email and managed to get another visit set up because they said the person that originally oversaw my visit was new, so I went in for another visit and again they said everything went well and that I’d be getting the puppy until the next day when I was again informed they had changed their minds. Horrible experience.Edit: After the second meeting my wife asked multiple times if there were any problems and if we’d be getting the dogs and got the same response every time, we were told that there were no problems and that we would be getting the dog, on top of this we’ve had multiple new animals and a baby born with our dogs and they’ve never once even tried to attack them. The only reason our dogs growled was because one of them is 14 years old and as such doesn’t like to be bothered and the other is extremely anxious when in unfamiliar places, yet never once did she even try and get violent with the puppy.

Very easy to set up an appointment to meet to adopt. They took care of all of the spaying, shots, and initial vet check. I wish that the Petco I went to meet my cat at had a play room to interact with my cat, but I was able to stay and play with my cat in her space so I still could see her personality. Overall very easy and great experience!

I was really disappointed with this process. I applied to adopt a puppy and was told the dog was adopted. So I asked if I could get another in the same litter. They said they made the changes to my application, but then on Facebook told someone else that puppy was still adoptable. So I also commented on their Facebook letting them know my application was already in for that puppy. I had some communication about the gender of that puppy only to see three days later on their website it had been adopted. I reached out a third time asking if I could be considered, they asked for the vet information on my parents dog since I live with them, even though it is not my dog. I provided them that information and made the vet aware and it has been over a week with no communication. They also have no phone number available to call that I can find. The litter that I originally wanted is now a month older than when I first applied. This process takes way too long and then I see posts where they are overrun. I think if there were a better communication line these animals would find homes.

This is a fantastic and trustworthy rescue. We came to adopt one dog but that dog and ours didn't get along. Rather than insist that we take the dog we applied for, they worked with the two dogs and us for a bit, realized that it would not be a good fit for either us or the dogs, and we adopted a different dog that was a much better fit. It was very much unplanned on their end but they went above and beyond and we couldn't be happier. I love my fur baby so much!

This organization puts its whole heart and energy into rescuing dogs and cats from miserable and end of the road situations. I have adopted two wonderful dogs and volunteered for two years caring for the daily needs of dogs waiting for their forever homes. If you are interested in being a part of a wonderful community of people who care for the well being and future of animals that are grateful for a second lease on life, this place is amazing. I adore this adoption agency! It is ran by volunteers which means they truly care about the animals they help. When you apply for a pet it may take a little time for someone to contact you, only because these volunteers have full time jobs! (Whew, sounds exhausting!) It is well worth being a little patient because they are such kind people doing such an amazing thing for our community. I got my last 2 fur babies from them and can't thank them enough for being such an integral part of bringing them into my life! If you don't adopt from them please consider making a monetary donation OR you can make item donations at the Petco in Middletown.

Adopt Me! does an amazing job placing pets. They have been a wonderful rescue to work with who truly care for the well being of so many dogs and cats. The volunteers take in the hard case dogs that other rescues pass up. They take the time and money to properly treat and rehabilitate so many animals from very sad situations.

We never received a response to our application, nor our follow up emails. However they were clearly received as we were added to their newsletter which we received by email starting last month.If we were denied, the least that could be done is communicate that to us. Fortunately we found someone who was willing to have a conversation with us, and we now have a dog we love. We were disappointed that we were not able to work with the prisoners program, but we were more disappointed that the only communication we have received is for donation solicitation.

The women who run this organization are the real deal. Their passion is rescue and finding the perfect fit for both the animal and the person/family who are adopting. They work long hours daily in their endeavours, never seeking anything in return other than the knowledge they are truly doing good in the rescue world. If there ever was a rescue to support financially, via fostering, donations or adopting from, this one is it. They have a handful of volunteers and are small in number but mighty in their efforts. Keep up the amazing work!
