Friday & Saturday night stayPositives first... comfortable beds, friendly staff (when you can find them), walking distance from restaurants and other hotels when you want to leave 😅I should of left when I read the sign that gave "helpful ideas for a good night's stay" that had 4 ways to create white noise in your room to drown out sound!Dog friendly, far more than human friendly!I have no idea how many dogs were in my hallway but there were times I wondered if I was staying in a dog kennel. You have no one to express concerns to because there was no one at the front desk the majority of the time. Room was sorta clean, clean linens but plenty of hand prints on full size mirror and I Clorox wiped the handprints on the headboards, nightstand was obviously not cleaned since there was a bottle lid tucked beside the phone.

Rooms where clean and offered plenty of towels. New pump soap, lotion, body wash and shampoo. The laminate floor was pulled up on places. They offered a hot breakfast casserole and waffles with some cereal. My complaint is when I took the dog out to potty the maid went into our room! My husband was in the bathroom pooping (hopefully that will teach her). I did inform the front desk.

We put in for 2 queens and ended up with 2 doubles, which was very difficult for 4 people to be comfortable with. There was no elevator. We woke up after out first night with my daughter's phone laying in a half inch of water. Our showers had leaked through the wall and they moved us downstairs. We had so much luggage and the no elevator thing really sucked.Food & drinks: It's in an ideal location as there are fast food locations everywhere.

I was exhausted from traveling and was 30 minutes away from home. I checked in online, and when I arrived. Just because I was considered local by grid area, I had to pay $100.00 deposit.I'm Handicapped and they didn't have an elevator, so from a king room, I was moved to the full bed room on the 1st floor, and the lamps were dirty, and the phone was filthy.Well, the refinished hotel was nowhere near what it said paint was a mess on the doors and walls baseboards also. The breakfast casserole was cold, and the potatoes in it were not cooked. Coffee and other things were out, and they were outside smoking.Other staffing issues were that they said no smoking only in designated areas, and that was fine with me. I don't smoke. The help was sitting outside in front of the hotel smoking. They lady who checked me out was so amazing and friendly.I'm so sorry to say that in Carrollton Kentucky as it was my hometown, but I'm so disappointed in how the Red Roof Inn is displayed online. It is absolutely NO STAY FOR ME AGAIN.Sorry for the disappointment

First room couldn't lock the door!! It was broken, got a different room it was clean but door key deactivated!!! Smelled of bleach! Rooms were clean but floor tiles were loose!! Caution tape, repairman and attendant complain about having to do her job just made for a BAD experience!!Rooms: First room wasn't able to lock the door because it was broken! Next room was clean but floor tile were loose on the floor!! Housekeeping woke up at 8:30 am even though we had the "Privacy please" on the door!!

The room was clean. That was really the only good thing I can say about our stay. We stopped on our way home in the middle of the night to sleep awhile. The beds were really small definitely not queen size. They were uncomfortable as well and we both woke up with hurting backs. There was no TV remote in our room. No soap to wash your hands either. Went down for breakfast and we wound up eating at McDonald's. The hotel had biscuits and gravy, toast options, plain Cheerios, plain cornflakes, and waffles to eat. They did have the normal assortment of beverages but the apple juice I tried was very watery tasting. All in all we wished we would have stayed at the Marriott. It would have been a little more money but it would have been more comfortable and we would have had a better rest. Unfortunately, the reviews were really misleading on here as they were good and so we chose the red roof inn instead. Big mistake!

We walked in the hotel and had to wait around 15 minutes for someone to even get to the front desk. When the front desk lady finally came in from outside she wasn’t wearing any shoes. We should have known then to just turn around and find another place to stay. We checked in and headed up the stairs, the smell of the carpet in the halls was awful. We got into our room and checked the bed for bedbugs, this is the first thing we do when staying anywhere new. And of course, BEDBUGS!! We told the lady at the front desk and she was just as grossed out as we were. She told us she couldn’t give us a refund and we would have to call back and speak to her manager. I called the following Monday to speak to the manager and she was very unprofessional. She told us it was unlikely that we would get a refund and that i could talk to the owner. I called back on the day she said the owner would be there and ended up speaking to the manager again, not the owner. She had a nasty attitude and told me that i would not be getting a refund for a room we couldn’t even sleep in! She also informed me that they let people stay in the same room we were going to stay in on the following night. Gross!! They do not care about the health and safety of there guests.Over all, the reviews for this hotel are misleading. If you want bedbugs, a dirty room and unfriendly employees, this is the place to go!

Seems covid hit this place hard aince last I was there in 2020. Had a roach in my room. The room itself looked like it had recenrly been remodeled but they forgot to plug evrrything in and were missing some lightbulbs. Was onky there one night but glad I left when I did. Im a contractor and im used to these kinds of hotels but it seemed like there was a lack of staff and unable to keep up with cleaning. Hopefully they can turn around it was better a few years ago and they gave me great rates.

Nasty ; I had to ask for someone to sweep the floor that has started to buckle in places.Nothing was cleaned.Said there's a $200 fine if I smoke ,yet I have spent over an hour scrubbing and wiping only God knows what on ALL the surfaces. Dust was everywhere andIf you want to stay here you need to bring your own cleaning supplies and prepare to scrub before you can get any rest.I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown. My heart is pounding ! No one is wearing a mask. The lighting was filthy. There was food stuck on the side of the table / desk and food crumbs were caught in the seat of the chair that goes with the desk. There was pet hair and dust in the side chair. Not happy about the situation at all. I PRAY my company gets me moved to another facility ASAP! I don't think I will try to eat the "breakfast" because if my room is like this... My imagination has taken over and I don't have any energy to deal with that. I haven't even checked the bed ... I may be sleeping in my truck.

Stayed from July 7-9, 2017. The hotel staff was friendly. The room was not clean and smelled funny. The floor in the room is like a vinyl wood floor and it was sticky. You could tell the room had water damage from the ceiling and the chair below it was stained. Half of the lights did not work in the room. Also the toilet paper holder was not screwed into the wall properly so everytime you tried to get some the housing component and the roll would fall out. The hotel halls smelled like cigarette smoke. The parking lot is not large enough for everyone to park. The location was perfect because there was plenty of places to eat in walking distance.

Pros...Friendly staff and nice looking room, renovated (hardwood floors), clean. I like the comfort of the bed, my husband found them too firm and was sore. Be AWARE! They have double full and NOT queen beds.Cons...The walls are like paper. You hear the neighbor watching TV, at 2 am the neighbor above moved out and due to the hard floors their luggage rolls sounded like a train in our room. After that miscellaneous noises. We could not controll the heater, it seems to be opperated centrally.

Nice clean room with a nice tv and bed. Nice young man at the front desk. The AC is laboring to cool the room and not doing a very good job.If you are handicapped or elderly a 1st floor room is imperative, because this hotel has NO ELEVATOR,thus the 2 star rating.People were hanging around outside under the front canopy and on the patio table drinking alcoholic beverages and talking loud.

This place, Red Roof Inn in Carrollton KY, was phenomenal to me, my husband, Kenny, and my Yorkie son, Maxx. Our room was very clean. The hallway and dining area were clean as well. The staff were absolutely amazing and helpful. The team accommodated me and forgave my booking errors and even called me to ensure that I had it right in the end.. Thank God I acquired no additional charges. The breakfast was nice too. Even though my honey and I smoke, we noticed the rooms showed no signs of ill regard to respecting the hotel's policy of NO SMOKING IN THE ROOMS. I asked folks on our way out how they enjoyed their stay and they thought the same as we did. Thank you Leigh Ann, William Donna and Diane for all of your help and wonderful service. William thanks for finding Maxx's collar and ESA & ID tags. Looking forward to receiving them in the mail. I think Maxx tried to loose them by hiding them from me so they were missed when we packed up! He never really liked the noise they made when he wore them.. lol. Can't wait to visit again. I hope I got the housekeeper's names correct. They were both sweet as pie....

Decided to stop during a drive to get some sleep. Called first to confirm 2 non smoking rooms with 2 beds were available. Upon arriving at 12:30 at night had to drive around to find a place to park and was told I would have to park next store at a KFC and walk over. Finally get inside and they only had 1 non smoking room ready and the other was dirty. So had to take one non smoking room and one smoking room. Get to the room, go to get in bed and there is a dirty kids sock and dirt in the bed under the sheets!!! After calling the front desk they move us across the hall. No dirty socks, but the sheets still looked like they hadn't been changed. In the morning brought it to the front desk attention and asked for a refund on one out the two rooms. They didn't seem to care or want to resolve the issue so corporate was called. Still waiting to hear back. Do yourself a favor and pay a little extra to stay at Holiday Inn Express.

The room I stay is very clean, called 20mintues ahead for reservation , $82 for a two bed non smoking. Was expecting a low end room, it turns out better than I had thought. Staff is very friendly and breakfast is pretty good too.

Very clean, remodeled rooms, new beds. It was very quiet. Lots of channels on the TV and free breakfast. Very nice staff. And it's a moderate price! Would absolutely stay again.

Red Roof Inn did a study and found WiFi was more important to customers than breakfast or other amenities - yet this hotel has the slowest WiFi I have ever used. I ran a professional internet speed test and found a shocking 0.50MBPS download and 0.14MBPS upload speed - come on Red Roof, you have business travelers who rely on internet when we stay. I had to leave for another location as I had an extremely important video call, and the internet was completely incapable of handling it. Room itself was clean and the receptionist was nice at check in, but after driving 5 hours for business and then having essentially no internet, I was quite frustrated.

It was clean, nicely decorated, nice TV service, Free wifi, quiet, very nice staff, comfortable beds. The only issue was the room smelled like smoke. The mgr did come and spray a neutralizer that helped. Oh no elevator. Otherwise a nice place.
