Bought a a fan from here and got home and the bottom of it was busted. I need to exchange it or refund and didn’t have a receipt, they wouldn’t do either one. I thru the receipt away I wasn’t expecting it to be busted up!

This place is the PITS! I live local and have been shopping here 20 plus years! NO MORE!1. It is DIRTY! Nasty mop left in aisle! Floor dirty, shelves dirty!2. It is a fire and safety hazard! You can’t get through aisles! Boxes left stacked up, you have to move ladders to get to merchandise!3. Understaffed and untrained staff! Staff outside smoking with customers lined up to pay. Customers leaving with merchandise without paying, NO ONE to check them out. Other customers leaving their merchandise on the counter and walking out, including ice cream.4. Customer lost because of malfunctioning equipment! They sell prepaid Visa cards, but lost customer because cash register was broken for that aspect of sales. Customer left ENTIRE order and walked out!I, personally, left my merchandise on the counter, went to your competitor and spent my money there. DO SOMETHING, DGS! You people are losing a TON of money!!!!

Staff is not very friendly. Always wants you to use self checkout while they hide in the break room. Also, the staff typically at night, has an attitude and very rude. Going to start going to a different location soon.

As employee out of only 3 that work here I’m sorry to say that our store wouldn’t be this bad if we had enough staff working here I’m having to work 7 days a week and we have customers that tend to rip our store apart no matter how good we recover in one day customers could have it ripped apart like nothing. But thank you customers for saying you can’t get down the isle if you want to help instead of complaining we’re hiring! Also thank you to the customers who can actually see that we’re low staffed and thank us for all that we can do. But honestly I just want to say the least you can do is be a decent human being and be nice. I get thrown into panic attacks everyday due to customers being so rude and mean. I just don’t understand, every establishment I go into to shop I never give the employees any problems because I know how it feels and I care about everyone’s feelings but customers here can throw me into such a bad panic attack that I have to get sent to the ER but while I’m crying and trying to catch my breath all people do is act like I can still do my job even tho my arms are locked up to my chest, the reason why I have to go the ER at that point. It’s just sad to see so many mean people come in here when I’m as nice as I can be to them and everyone else. It’s sad that I don’t feel safe greeting or talking to any of the customers anymore because they could throw me into a panic attack by being mean and rude to me. Anyways just think before you do something that could send someone to the hospital.

Horrible experience this morning. I go in to buy at least $100 worth of stuff for our office and I literally cannot get down any isle due to crates everywhere and boxes stacked up with merchandise to be stocked. I decided to just get the few things I already had in my buggy and just go down the road to Family Dollar for the rest. But I cannot even get the buggy up to registers because they have it blocked as well with merchandise, so I just walked out.

I recently went to the store in Calvert City, KY and must say that I've never had such an unpleasant shopping experience. There were 2 cashiers working but as it was a Sunday in summer there was a bit of a wait. No problem! Myself and 4 other ladies were patiently waiting out turn when I noticed the father cashier taking care of a gentleman that hadn't waited in line, when another man walked up to her register. I took issue with this and he said the cashier told him to step up. I pointed out that we were all waiting to be taken care of when another man joined him. But that was acceptable because he was just using his ID so the gentleman that didn't have an ID could buy something. The 2nd cashier, who could clearly see us all standing in line then asked if I wanted to speak with the manager, Whitney, and I said yes. Now I have the 2 mail customers telling me to go to church and take my meds and the 2nd cashier saying I'm the only one complaining. Absolutely ridiculous! I left half a cart of items there, probalby about $40-50. I used to enjoy wandering around that store, but with staff like that I'll not be returning. There are plenty of other stores with much more pleasant and competent staff that I can go to.

The Calvert City Dollar General usually has what I need. However, most of the time it doesn't have enough employees working to take care of the customers and put up stock. Really needs better management and more employees. Pretty disorganized and cluttered.

I love being able to run in an out without the searching hassles oh and they have this $1 isle now which has even name brand items which are perfect for small packs of Huggies wipes for staying in the car for face and hand cleaning, Dawn dishliquiud, small trash bags for the smaller trash cans like kids rooms etc especially good for doorms, $1 take an toss coffee cups and even kid cups for getting large waters or Gateraids for them to all split in the cups in the super hot days and so much more. Just if you're not in such a rush since you've stopped there which are usually as I mentioned in an out run in's you'll see the awesome stuff they have to offer. Oh and not one but 3 packs of hand sanitizer. We place one in our tackle box for fishing, car, and my bag. Never can hurt to have plenty of those. If you like nice scented ones they have $1 ones with essential oils you can purchase.

This is the second time for mold on the food in the store . I bought this 45 min ago from the freezer section and no it is not out of date. This is unacceptable and is going to get someone put in the hospital

Best Dollar Store you can go to in 20 miles. Management is great and employees are actually knowledgeable considering they have all worked there for more than a week.

Local store with fairly wide selection of goods. They tend to be a bit higher than other big box stores but you are paying for the convenience
