First time to eat at this restaurant passing through from KY back home to Nashville. We had our family & Grandkids with us.The buffet was good but some things we didn't care for.Fried Chicken was great, fish was great and crispy, salad bar good, mashed potatoes good.Didn't care for the grilled pork chops too smokey & dry....maybe fry those as a suggestion? Some kinda of ham not sure what it was not good.Kids should have ordered off the menu but got the buffet they only liked the Fried chicken.Overall the service from waitresses & checkout were very friendly!👍Price was really responsible 10.00 for buffet. We'll try to order from the menu next time.

This well-warn little local joint was surprising in several ways. There's an unassuming charm as you walk back in time. We were shocked that there was a smoking section & we accidentally sat in there. Thankfully, we were there at an "off" time & didn't have to contend with smokers. I'd like to add that the ladies' room was quite odd... there are 2 toilets and, though on opposite sides of a wall, there's no curtain or door & the 1st is right behind the door. It's very....unique, to say the least. Thankfully, I could lock the door & have it to myself..It's nothing fancy but the food is great! It features a "country cooking" food bar. The vegetables were my absolute favorite & tasted like grandma was in the kitchen. The food is fantastic. The service was great. Everyone is quite friendly. We'd go back again & again.

I've been going here for years and love this place. It also provides a service to the community.. people on a budget can always come here and get something to eat because the prices are so reasonable.. home cooked meals that are just like Mama made.Vegetarian options: Just pulling in and grab a chicken or some fried. Anything you get there is going to be good.. and the good thing for the vegetarians most people leave the salad

The staff were very friendly. The smokers section is right as you come in the front door so be prepared to smell smoke. They have a dying area in the back away from the smoke...which I prefer. I ate off of the buffet the food tasted good! The building appeared to be an old storefront building. If you stay awhile and look close enough you may see a few friendly mice!

A home-y place ❤ Today was my first time going. The waitress at checkout was so sweet to me. The waiter who got my drink was a sweetheart. The waitress who came through and offered cornbread and desserts was so sweet and kind. Even the other customers were sweet to me. I'm 9 months pregnant (due any day now) and the gentleman and his wife beside me paid for my food!!!! I thought the food was DELICIOUS. The sweet tea was SO good too. I cleaned both of these plates and honestly if they would've had cobbler or something sitting at the buffet I think I could've ate some of that too! I'll be back after my little one is born.

Visiting from out of town, and so glad we ran across this place! Our server was fabulous. The kids and my husband all got the buffet, which was full of all kinds of fantastic southern staples (skillet fried chicken, cooked greens, fried cornbread), and I had the patty melt, which I would definitely recommend. We finished up with a slice of coconut cream pie that was obviously homemade - we've been fed plenty of store-bought restaurants pies this trip, but this one was the real deal.A great local eatery!

Stopped in for supper on my way through town and found the food to be good and our server was excellent but there were several roaches on the floor and one on our table. Additionally a smoking area, which is open to the rest of the restaurant, makes everyone a second hand smoker.....Some exterminator work and a closed area for the smokers would really make this establishment one to recommend.

I had read good things about Cadiz Family Restaurant, and couldn't wait to try it out. We went during the lunch hour, which was surprisingly busy for such a small town. It's a cozy place, and the furniture is a little dated, but still well maintained. The dining area was clean, and the service was friendly. The buffet, which we had for lunch, only had about 10 items on it, including sides, but everything we tried was delicious. My only complaint would be that the ladies restroom didn't seem to have been recently cleaned well.

Parking spots were packed which made us all think it must be pretty good food. Nope...not good....it was AWESOME FOOD! The service we received was outstanding! Absolutely one of the best servers we have ever had in our travels & in our own hometown. They had a really nice dinner bar with a great variety of foods to choose from including a full salad/soup bar with dessert. Dinner rolls & cornbread were also provided at the table and they had a fantastic full menu to choose from as well. This is a small town restaurant, nothing fancy, but it is nice & clean, great service & awesome food! The only negative we saw....& it was a shock when we walked in... THEY HAVE A **SMOKING** SECTION. Upon entering we were told to seat ourselves - right for smoking, left for non-smoking. Where we live it is law that our restaurants be non-smoking. (This is the only reason for not receiving a 5 star rating in every category.) We would highly recommend this country home town restaurant to anyone in or around Cadiz, KY. We will definitely come back here next time we are in the area vacationing!!

So we're on a road trip back from Nashville to Illinois and we're looking for a spot off the highway that's not chain food. We come up with Cadiz Family Restaurant and I'm telling you it's one of the best things we had happen all weekend!!!! Got there decently late in the evening, worn out from being out in the sun all day, looking like a bunch of old pirates. We walked in and were greeted with a great smile and a laugh by a very very wonderful lady (we all missed her name but she was absolutely wonderful). She told us to sit anywhere we'd like and she came right over and helped us out with menus and explained what all was on the buffet that night. Two of us got the buffet and one got the burger. She took great care of us and we had plenty to drink the whole time. The food on the buffet consisted of friend chicken that tasted JUST like grandma cooked it, fried fish which was phenomenal, and pork chops which were absolutely GREAT! There were all kinds of sides like mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans, creamed corn, hush puppies, and so much more! We stuffed ourselves! I still wish I'd have tried the pie, I just KNOW it was going to be good but there just wasn't anywhere left in me to put it! All the while we visited with our great waitress. Did I mention how great she was? The best! She told us about her kids and kept us company. It was great! It was like being at home at your local spot and we were hundreds of miles from home! I wish I lived closer so I could come here more, all of us do, and I know we will return for more of that great hospitality and fried chicken next time we come thru!

This is the best food I've had since my grandmother was alive. I cannot recommend it enough. The service was fantastic, also.

My parents lived in Cadiz from 1986 until my Mom passed away, then my Dad passed away in 2019. They loved Cadiz Restaurant!! I live in Louisiana but when we visited, we always had to go to Cadiz Restaurant for their buffet!! It is simple, delicious, country food. We never had a bad meal or bad experience. I visited my brothers in Hopkinsville last week, and of course I had to go eat there!!

They let people bring their house pets into this restaurant. Which is completely nasty. I didn’t pay my money to eat around animal hair. The manager and her daughter (a server) are completely rude. There was roaches coming out of the salad bar.Everyone be aware!

The "locals" restaurant. Good food with buffet at a very reasonable price about $10+. Service is okay but they can get busy and the atmosphere is "local diner" style. The worst part is that you have to walk through the smoking section to get back to the non-smoking section, and you have to pay your bill in the smoking section - cough, cough, cough. :-( UGHParking: Can be difficult to find parking when busy.

Group of 4. No seats available. We waited for 10 minutes and they were able to get us a wobbling table. We noticed another table was getting cleared so we moved. The food bar was our choice. While rather small in offerings the food available was delicious. Especially the crispy fried chicken that was so moist on the inside. The fish too was delicious as were the sides. Flexible seating but there are was to configure without blocking others.
